  1. He looked on the sidelines like he was literally plotting to how he was going to kill the stampeder player.
  2. And NOT picked up by his former team.
  3. My guess this is for a financial reason, i.e., can't hire both a new GM and new Head Coach. Pick one but not both.
  4. Here's the dynamic that gets at the meat and potatoes of this issue, not from the X's and O's side of the equation but from the people side of the equation.
  5. I love me my Jake Thomas but after warm ups he's huffing and puffing.
  6. Hope DS gets better soon. Next man up, existing core fill the gap, let's go.
  7. Too early to declare next year is our year?
  8. And cue Gary Bettman with his 'you're going to lose this franchise' speech coming to a theater near you.
  9. Well that’s not what I ordered ffs. It’s going to be outstanding going into Oiler land office tomorrow.
  10. Yup. We need them thinking early here we go again.
  11. Imo if the Elks somehow beat us (not likely but can happen) it won't be a smoke. It will be close. It will either be we in full control or a loose Elk team taking it to the wire.
  12. Hoping for a lot of mid-depth scoring (re: former LA guys) to welcome in and exit out PLD.
  13. Maybe a bit but as longtime lifelong Bomber fans we're never comfortable until the larger person sings. It's habitual more than pessimistic.
  14. Absolutely, execution of this game plan is a must as Ford has shown he has the ability to make this quite difficult no matter the D's intention.
  15. PLD's response to these types of comments: 'Well my response to my time here is now somewhat altered but it is what it is'.
  16. Exactly true with particular injuries either with better news or not so great news (or both sometimes) as time progresses.
  17. Got that feel of 'My friends ex girlfriends daughter who owns a dog that is friends with another dog whose owner golfs with a higher up from the Bombers who believes DS is done for the year'. Seriously though DS has taken a huge beating this year so who the hell knows. We're going to find out sooner than later unless of course MOS dances around it until the last possible moment he can, i.e.,opening kickoff at the Grey Cup game.
  18. That's a bold statement. Forgive the pun.
  19. You just know the argoblow fan lurks about ready to pounce . . .
  20. Imo the CFL really misses Chris Cuthbert and Dave Randorf.
  21. On top of that and depending on the specific person, I find it a quite a challenge when talking football with someone not being influenced on how they approach other non football issues/topics. Being smart in football doesn't mean you're smart in other areas. ie., we all can be brilliant in certain topics but completely ignorant in another topics. Sometimes it's really hard not to be influenced by that in how we perceive each other.
  22. Excerpt taken from yahoo sports Canada Kyle Cantlon: Though he admits to wanting out, Dubois says the intent behind his words and feelings were "misconstrued" throughout both processes. "A lot of times, people have the mindset that if he did this, it's because he hated that. But it's not like that at all. "That's the main thing I would say if you asked me what I wanted people to understand: You can like two things at the same time. You can appreciate two different things at the same time." Dubois has yet to find the scoresheet two games into his tenure with the Kings, but his next chance to make an impact will be against the Jets when he makes his return to Winnipeg on Tuesday. "It will be special, I'm sure," Dubois said, per NHL.com. "I'm sure some fans will see it a little differently, but for me personally it will be special. ... To play against some teammates and friends that I have from Winnipeg, it'll be a special game." If those boos do come, Dubois says it will change his perception "a little bit" of his tenure with the Jets. "If they're cheering my departure, I think I'd question a little bit more my time there," Dubois said on Saturday. "But it is what it is." I'd use his same logic to explain his questioning his time here if people cheer his departure by booing him. You can appreciate two different things at the same time. Appreciate what he did here while he was here but also appreciate people who want to play in Winnipeg long-term.
