@DarrinBauming: #Bombers will announce the signings of WR Jaymar Johnson and RB Paris Cotton, and the release of OL Eric Armitage and DB Kevin Prempeh. #CFL @DarrinBauming: Johnson and Cotton are both imports. Armitage and Prempeh are both non-imports. All four took part in minicamp in Florida. #Bombers #CFL

No playbook? C'mon man.
-
Why on earth did we hire this guy? This has disaster written all over it.
-
Does he seriously not have a playbook?
-
It's pronounced Marv-e-lous.

Looks like Lavertu to Ottawa now

@JasonLaCanfora: Chad Johnson (@Ochocinco) is scheduled to workout for Montreal (CFL) at 5pm on Monday in Florida.

Are you sure the Pinnacle Club isn't flooded?

I for one, don't want Hall back...too many stupid/selfish penalties. probably got too many sacks and tackles as well eh? Those don't outweigh the penalties. I've never been an Alex Hall fan.

Another mock draft: http://blogs.canoe.ca/theoutwriters/sports/cfl-mock-draft-2-0/.

Not likely we'd have to add to next year's first rounder to get one this year.Considering we host the Grey Cup next year that might not be a bad move...get a head start on developing the young guys do they can make a impact next year. A combo of Lavertu plus one of Goossen/Gill/Coombs would be pretty sweet.

I guarantee BC isn't trading us their 5th overall pick for our 20 & 26.

I asked the Bombers this a couple weeks ago. They told me this years Fan Forum has not yet been scheduled, and that it has not been cancelled. Kind of vague I know. I suspect they don't want to release the financials while collective bargaining is taking place.

Goossen is definitely in the conversation.

[MOVED] Lyle Bauer back in Manitoba - Politics, not football
gbill2004 replied to Nasty Nate's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if Bauer will hire Mike Kelly as one of his advisors? Maybe in a media relations role. -
Just a couple weeks ago I drove by the stadium and recall seeing 6-10 feet of snow on top of the Bomber office building, same side as the Bomber store on Bison Drive and thinking to myself 'that doesn't look right'. Homeowners all have to remove snow from their roof, or they risk leaking in the Spring when the snow melts. I wonder if some simple winter maintenance (i.e. shoveling snow) could have prevented this?

Miller and BBB have essentially acknowledged Friesen's story as being true.
-
Because he broke the story.

I think we'll keep the pick and take a DL if Lavertu is gone. Walters said the draft only has a few really good players (IIRC he said five) and after that there's not a lot to distinguish between them. i remember in his recent interview, he said that Coombs is a phenomenal and a special talent and the team that will draft him will surely acquiring a very good football player. I saw that interview and got the sense that, while Walters likes Coombs, he won't be drafting him.

If you have enough patience to attempt to develop him you might get somewhere in 2-3 years. Where that is, I'm not quite sure. The Riders spent a 7th round pick on him and elected to go not much further than that, releasing him and he returned to Western for his final year. Tested among some of the worst offensive linemen in recent history at the combine last year, hence why he was a late pick, but the potential bright side of that would be that Patrick Neufeld and Cody Husband are in that group as well. Neufeld has shown he can adjust and build his game to the professional level, Husband has played spot duty in four years with the Ticats. Neufeld was a 5th round pick, Husband was an undrafted signing... essentially the type of late round selections you see in the league. Guys who have been serviceable to good in college but their translation to the pro game is suspect. Obviously not many make it through to last years in the league. As for his game, he has nice size at 6'4", 305 lbs but struggles to use it to his advantage, and I think you can use his 13 bench press reps as evidence. I don't value combine numbers that much, but certain things can be red flags, and when you don't have the strength, your technique is probably your strongest asset in addition to quickness, and he quite simply didn't have that when I saw him. The positive for Eric Armitage - and potentially the negative and this really applies for any Blue Bombers offensive lineman is that they have a guy renowned for his ability to teach the position in Bob Wylie. If he can't show well in Winnipeg, that is likely all she wrote. Wow...that is quite the thorough analysis for a no name guy. You're like a CFL encyclopedia. The 13 bench press reps is a concern. Do you know how many Neufeld did at his combine? Good point on Wylie. What position on the OL would you see Armitage playing?
-
Tyler, what can you tell us about Armitage?

@CFLDaily: McGill's Laurent Duvernay-Tardif has been graded as the 20th best OL prospect for the NFL Draft. A 3rd-4th round projection. #CFL
