Great analysis. I did think Hall was more mobile than what we've seen so far. He did run twice I believe last game, once resulting in a fumble. Hall's scouting report says he can throw well while scrambling do maybe we will see more of that as he gets more comfortable with the offense and the CFL game. Hall improves every game so you can't ask for more than that.

I've noticed a lot more motion by the WRs prior to the offensive snap the past few weeks. This is something I've been wanting the past 2 years and is finally being implemented. WR motion confuses the defense, gives the receivers space; it's not rocket science.
-
I'd consider intermediate to be 10-15 yards.
-
Good point. Their both free agents, so the evaluation could be who to prioritize as a free agent.
-
Agreed. Aside from Walters and Dickenson, this is a terrible list.
-
What's up with this guy? Every time he gets into the game he either fumbles, drops the ball, or gets hurt. I thought this guy had some serious talent but not so sure anymore.
-
Can we please not turn this into a Burke bashing thread and instead re-focus on the topic? Who do you see as HC and GM candidates if Walters and Burke aren't back?
-
Ya I really hope we don't get Tate. He's Buck 2.0 with a bad attitude.
-
I fully expect Kyle Walters to become our full-time GM and I think there's a good chance Burke is back next season as Head Coach. But if either, or both are not back, who are the GM and HC candidates out there?
-
Exactly...guys like Reilly, Collaros etc had a year or two to sit back and learn/observe. Hall was basically thrown in and he is doing quite well. He reminds me of Kevin Glenn.

I recommend reading the very first post in this thread. You might find your answer. So looks like its 10 plus a QB.

I am starting to become very impressed with Max Hall. Every game he seems to get better. Hall is the QB of record for the Bombers 2 best offensive games this season. He is a smart QB, he has a quick release, good accuracy, he is tough, and has decent arm strength. Appears to have good leadership skills too. His cons are that he seems to get hurt a bit, but an improved OL would definetely help fix that and his mobility isn't great. He still makes some mistakes, but every game he makes fewer of them. Some have questioned his arm strength, and while it's not great, I really thinks its a non issue, his arm strength is fine for the CFL. Teams are starting to gather film on him, but he just keeps getting better, he is figuring out the CFL game at a good pace. It took Mike Reilly a good half a season to start putting up numbers, and Reilly had 2 seasons as a backup; something Hall did not have. Max Hall is starting to 'get it' at a very good pace. Worst case scenario, I'd be okay with him as our starting QB next season. I'm excited that it'll likely be him and a young guy like Collaros around to battle for the starting gig. Things are starting to look up for the Bombers.

Does anyone know of the 10 imports we can protect in the first round of the expansion draft includes a QB, or is it 10 imports, plus a QB?
-
Say for the sake of argument we swing a trade with Calgary for Drew Tate before the expansion draft: who does Ottawa grab for their two QBs?DeMarco from BC (after watching him play last night I doubt it)? Nichols from Edmonton (maybe if they get past injury concerns)? A Montreal QB (Smith for his potential or one of their unprovens)? Hamilton's #2 (really)? Collaros, Glenn & Willie are FA's So which two ahead of Hall (especially if he continues his improvement)? Who do you see Ottawa taking if there are no other trades (outside of Calgary and something will happen there)? Which non-FA QB is better than Max Hall? They will sign Glenn as a free agent and take Tate and/or LeFevor as backup.
-
I'm sure there will be better QBs available than Max Hall.

I've been to a few practices and Sims-Walker does not seem to give much effort in practice. But he was a beast yesterday and definite keeper. I was very impressed.
-
10 Imports I'd protect: January Sims-Walker Sears Turner Wild Washington Denmark Anderson 2 of: Kelly/Woods/Jones 6 Non-Imports I protect: Watson Greaves Pencer Neufeld Swiston H. Muamba
-
Exactly. Manitoba Bisons home games are $15 plus taxes and fees.
-
The end zone seats are one of only 2 sections to not have a price increase for 2014. I suspect they will be frozen for a few years as they were overpriced to begin with.
-
You two sound like an old married couple.
-
Don't do it. I did that to a guy beside me on the bus back in '97.Long story short, its not worth it..... Agreed. I was that guy on the bus back in '97.
-
lol, I was thinking the same thing, other than Watson just protect oline men for NI's. The imports I wouldn't even worry about they are all easily replaced, look at Aaron Kelly pulled from the scrap heap and has been a stud by Bomber standards. Kelly already knew Bellefeuille's system so that's why he's been able to step right in. That's not the norm.

Here's the complete list of Bomber free agents: -- Offensive linemen Andre Douglas, Chris Kowalczuk, Steve Morley, Marc Parenteau and Justin Sorensen. -- Running backs Chad Simpson, Will Ford and Michel-Pierre Pontbriand. -- Receivers Jade Etienne, Chris Matthews, Akeem Foster and Rory Kohlert. -- Defensive backs Brandon Stewart, Alex Suber and Dan West. -- Defensive linemen Kenny Mainor, J.T. Gilmore and Ryan Lucas. -- Linebackers Pierre-Luc Labbe and Henoc Muamba. -- Specialists: Mike Renaud (punter) and Chris Cvetkovic (long snapper).

Not at all. I feel like doing that without even reading these threads.

Kolhert is also a free agent.
