on 1290 Mos said Rpc left on a family matter .... didn't know when or if he would be back Earlier many noted 29 Walker is practicing.... but its unclear whether he is ready Starting LB Knox's status/health unclear ... a possibly for Saturday .... I would much rather see him replaced by poop johnson than santos knox .... sounds like the decision to pull poop was bird brained imho ... but you know how every player has a designated backup and some coaches can't conceive of changing that chain of thinking: "here's your chance" is the way it goes .... i hate the way productive poop was benched for some big contract big reputation DE .... rather see knox replaced by a cdn lb if it meant poop could be back our decisions define us

Ever felt like you were in a Monty Python movie and you were waving your arms madly at the passersby to get their attention .... only you had no arms: that is sometimes how it feels to be a Bomber fan - 'C'mon make that trade.... sign that free agent ... don't stand there, do something!' Play Poop Johnson, prefer Thorpe to Lankford, bring in a better LB/Db .... do something about Hurl and especially Ritchie Hall It can be a helpless feeling to be just standing here frantically not waving our arms .... but whats a fan to do with this type of management who is enjoying the status quo as Miller & Walters & Mos sit there sipping their tea Wave harder

"I should have streamed CJOB instead." I can only sync if i use the net for cjob.com .... using the radio or mts.tv doesn't line up for me

Regina got two big plays in a row in Q1 in the LDC .... and we didn't really recover .... let ourselves get overwhelmed in their momentum ... it ain't gonna happen like that again .... but we have to change .... rinse and repeat won't do .... and it won't be good enough to just show up: So what has to change to turn the tide?

I haven't posted in 3 days .... didn't make anything better

any juicy rumors from today's "closed" practice?

Anybody missing at practice today?

Bombers start practicing Wednesday morning I presume ..... I wonder if there are any "gone fishing" injuries since the victory beyond Harris' stinger

Good as the Rider D has been lately there has to be a few weaknesses to exploit .... how about starting with Jovon Johnson?

Chris Jones, at least for the moment, is no longer the object of ridicule .... there is evidence his rebuilding program is working and they have the makings of a contender ... he is still using bailing wire, binder twine and duct tape to keep the team together but they have momentum and spirit ... If as and when Jones buys himself a real QB all that money they are paying him could be said to be worthwhile .... meanwhile we will be having something opposite a picnic on Labour Day

Regina has momentum (54-31/Edmonton, 41-8/BC) and we have SQUEAKERS. It's time to get over our ridicule for Chris Jones. He has gutted the team, rebuilt it and is starting to get results with both the good and bad talent he has. Regina is now a real contender; they are playing as well as anybody has this season. Racking up 35 points on turnovers last night was no accident. It might even be a CFL record We had better take the Rough Riders seriously. Bravado won't help us win. We are going to have to play better than we ever have this season and not rely on winning in some strange way as we have so repeatedly all season. What will it take? Opening up the passing game again. Regina doesn't blitz nearly as much as Montréal but they do have a mean pass rush. So we need the short game but without downfield passing their defensive backs are just going to creep up and shut down the dink and dunk. I am not as sure that Flanders is better than the defensive rotation that could include poop Johnson who we obviously missed last game. We need his pressure up the middle and his run stopping abilities. We didn't really use Harris as a decoy for Flanders anyway so I like the trade-off.. Home field advantage is always been huge for the LDC ... The odds are actually in favour of the Riders for this coming game. So it's going to take more than trick plays though these surprises we have been delivering does help us. We are going to have to win on good analysis good scheming and plain old talent. A great deal is going to depend on leadership from Nichols and Leggett. We are at the crossroads and Regina will be a bigger test than Edmonton 2 weeks ago. We need more than "good luck to us".

"Harris, Jeffcoat and Alexander all came back to play last night after being knicked up..." What is MOS adding to their Wheaties?

Based on the passion I have seen in this thread I don't believe anybody who says the LDC is "just another game" ..... thats a load of hornswaggle

And I thought I was verbose -
Let me correct: "Grey Cup Of My Season" .... if we win the Grey Cup next Sunday I will be happy all year

Harris got a bit of a stinger today .... could slow down his practicing this week .... sets a tough as nails example I did not notice anyone else getting nicked up in Montreal .... more battered and blue than anything major for several ....I guess thats what staying fresh is all about Need to use Harris as a decoy more often if we are going to get maximum value out of Flanders in the lineup, it seems to me

Sounds more like infatuation than genuine judgment to me -

If Regina lost the LDC to Winnipeg their premier would have to resign.
