  1. What makes you think I "hate football and this team"?
  2. so 8 Canadian starters?
  3. I am sort of ok with low risk Lapo and controlling turnovers but if our new DLine fails to get pressure on the QB .... it could be a long year if we are repeating last year's defensive stats .... as it stands we are totally dependent on winning the giveaway takeaway battle
  4. "nothing here" if you like but i want to keep an eye on his propensity for good judgment .... like betting your season on a 61 yard FG or sticking with Willy until forced by management to make a change ... or sticking to very passive coordinators in an aggressive league I love MOS as our coach but he needs to learn to take some advice and modify what he does, not just over manage or under manage .... I think MOS takes us to the western final this year but that is still two victories shy of a Grey Cup .... someone needs to help MOS overcome his stubborn flaws
  5. the question is not conspiracy bu a questioning of MOS's judgment ... there has been reason to question part of it in the past and the suggestion that certain blind spots continue to exist to the detriment of the whole club ... others who see the flaw/s may end up in sharp disagreement ... that is the nature of the current discussion/emerging problem identification
  6. IIRC he was viewed as the next up and comer before Nichols' multiple injuries and hence the need for Reilly to do it all
  7. I would like to play poker with you
  8. So tell me why no member of the media has asked why Apodaca was cut ... is it their job to NOT ask tough questions? Don't rock the boat right? Did none of them see any potential in Austin?
  9. And we earn our fees straightening out organizational problems ... our diagnostics measure conflict as one of 7 crucial areas .... respectful disagreement and diverse views is very different than striving
  10. What you say is true, at least in theory, and I know my theory (I have a masters degree in leadership) but it is also narrow in viewpoint and not always that practical in the real world where things are more often run off competition, fear and envy ... continuous major disagreements amongst senior managers lead to same very dysfunctional things (especially striving), the opposite of organizational health and then they have to be repaired ... thats the difference between academics (and seminar boosts) and solving key organizational problems between very powerful senior managers
  11. Chris Jones won a Grey Cup and then got a fat contract ... his flaws are everywhere and plain to see but he is a success story .... MOS has flaws too but I also think he will be another success story, maybe even this year .... you just need your strength of character to be greater than your flaws and I think that is even more true for MOS than for Jones .... but that does not mean those flaws won't drive everyone nuts once in a while or even more often than that
  12. baseless speculation: I don't think so .... see Kuale, Bellefueille and now Richie Hall .... its possibly showing up with Apodaca now who wasn't given a chance to play a down .... I know what i saw of him in practice (he was very good with a great arm).... I am guessing there was no special character flaw in the man or that he was just too green to be a worthwhile project .... it is most likely that MOS just has no interest in Apo and any reason given for his departure will be self justification and NOT good football reasons
  13. My agenda is simple .... I am actually glad MOS is our coach BUT he often will not be open to possibilities outside of his narrow expectations .... thats why he kicks an ill advised FG in a playoff game when he had time to move the ball closer
  14. as a management consultant specializing in organizational health I can say that what you say is occasionally true and it is very good when it can happen that way ... from hard experience I can tell you it is usually the opposite and that wounds linger and sometimes even fester .... the point I am making is that MOS had a mistaken sense of loyalty and a too narrow perceptual field ... or in other words sometimes he don't see so straight
  15. Mike there is times when you are thicker than a 2 by 4
  16. After his treatment in Winnipeg he became both disgusted and disillusioned .... hung up his cleats to become an electrician
  17. legs are working perfectly .... work in a leadership spot for a while and see what "sharp disagreements" accumulate to and what impact they have on a relationship ... the little things add up to big time eventually
  18. not really ... we all heard the same thing .... MOS in the least lacks certain things and we have seen the fruit of them in his stupid personnel decisions and misguided loyalties ..... MOS maybe a good leader but he can be severely off base and he is not one to be making subtle "adjustments" ... we have seen the flaws in coaching personnel decisions and in player selection sticking with old horses far too long
  19. Not a quote but a fact of relationships
  20. On TSN last night interviewing 3 GMs Walters said he & MOS frequently have sharp disagreements that takes stuff to repair ... MOS seems very narrow minded tunnel visioned to me .... if you are not next up to bat in his mind you are excluded from his plans .... see Bryan Bennett & U of M QB Yantz a couple years back ... many promises were made to Yantz but he never got to play a single down (and like Apodaca he had the best arm in camp) ... he was better than some of the Cdn QBs we see around the CFL this year. Both Yantz and Apodaca were never given a chance and MOS never planned to give them a chance .... this is a major character flaw with MOS
  21. is that challengeable? review on turnover cannot correct error?
  22. Listening to the Ottawa Hammy game on the boob tube ... was so bored with their color commentary & half time show ... is this the best we are going to get or is it restless me? Do you think TSN has an editorial policy that kills the initiative and knowledge of its broadcasters and staff ... they have to be there for more than a paycheck right? Not like the typical sportswriter .... where is Gary Lawless when you really need him?
  23. In spite of losing both Glenn & Bennett to the roughies I like our QBing better this year than what we ended with last year ... I guess we will see
  24. Calgary 13-5 Winnipeg 12-6 BC 11-7 Edmonton 6-12 Sask 2-16 & Hamilton 11-7 Ottawa 10-8 Toronto 7-11 Montreal 4-14
  25. We stood pat because most of the pieces are in place ... the biggest change: a much improved D-Line .... we will stop the run and we will regularly get pressure on the QB ..... the turnover stats are going up not down
