So tell me why no member of the media has asked why Apodaca was cut ... is it their job to NOT ask tough questions? Don't rock the boat right? Did none of them see any potential in Austin?
-
And we earn our fees straightening out organizational problems ... our diagnostics measure conflict as one of 7 crucial areas .... respectful disagreement and diverse views is very different than striving
-
What you say is true, at least in theory, and I know my theory (I have a masters degree in leadership) but it is also narrow in viewpoint and not always that practical in the real world where things are more often run off competition, fear and envy ... continuous major disagreements amongst senior managers lead to same very dysfunctional things (especially striving), the opposite of organizational health and then they have to be repaired ... thats the difference between academics (and seminar boosts) and solving key organizational problems between very powerful senior managers

Chris Jones won a Grey Cup and then got a fat contract ... his flaws are everywhere and plain to see but he is a success story .... MOS has flaws too but I also think he will be another success story, maybe even this year .... you just need your strength of character to be greater than your flaws and I think that is even more true for MOS than for Jones .... but that does not mean those flaws won't drive everyone nuts once in a while or even more often than that
-
baseless speculation: I don't think so .... see Kuale, Bellefueille and now Richie Hall .... its possibly showing up with Apodaca now who wasn't given a chance to play a down .... I know what i saw of him in practice (he was very good with a great arm).... I am guessing there was no special character flaw in the man or that he was just too green to be a worthwhile project .... it is most likely that MOS just has no interest in Apo and any reason given for his departure will be self justification and NOT good football reasons
-
My agenda is simple .... I am actually glad MOS is our coach BUT he often will not be open to possibilities outside of his narrow expectations .... thats why he kicks an ill advised FG in a playoff game when he had time to move the ball closer
-
as a management consultant specializing in organizational health I can say that what you say is occasionally true and it is very good when it can happen that way ... from hard experience I can tell you it is usually the opposite and that wounds linger and sometimes even fester .... the point I am making is that MOS had a mistaken sense of loyalty and a too narrow perceptual field ... or in other words sometimes he don't see so straight

Mike there is times when you are thicker than a 2 by 4

After his treatment in Winnipeg he became both disgusted and disillusioned .... hung up his cleats to become an electrician
-
legs are working perfectly .... work in a leadership spot for a while and see what "sharp disagreements" accumulate to and what impact they have on a relationship ... the little things add up to big time eventually
-
not really ... we all heard the same thing .... MOS in the least lacks certain things and we have seen the fruit of them in his stupid personnel decisions and misguided loyalties ..... MOS maybe a good leader but he can be severely off base and he is not one to be making subtle "adjustments" ... we have seen the flaws in coaching personnel decisions and in player selection sticking with old horses far too long
-
Not a quote but a fact of relationships

On TSN last night interviewing 3 GMs Walters said he & MOS frequently have sharp disagreements that takes stuff to repair ... MOS seems very narrow minded tunnel visioned to me .... if you are not next up to bat in his mind you are excluded from his plans .... see Bryan Bennett & U of M QB Yantz a couple years back ... many promises were made to Yantz but he never got to play a single down (and like Apodaca he had the best arm in camp) ... he was better than some of the Cdn QBs we see around the CFL this year. Both Yantz and Apodaca were never given a chance and MOS never planned to give them a chance .... this is a major character flaw with MOS

is that challengeable? review on turnover cannot correct error? -
Listening to the Ottawa Hammy game on the boob tube ... was so bored with their color commentary & half time show ... is this the best we are going to get or is it restless me? Do you think TSN has an editorial policy that kills the initiative and knowledge of its broadcasters and staff ... they have to be there for more than a paycheck right? Not like the typical sportswriter .... where is Gary Lawless when you really need him?

In spite of losing both Glenn & Bennett to the roughies I like our QBing better this year than what we ended with last year ... I guess we will see -
Calgary 13-5 Winnipeg 12-6 BC 11-7 Edmonton 6-12 Sask 2-16 & Hamilton 11-7 Ottawa 10-8 Toronto 7-11 Montreal 4-14

We stood pat because most of the pieces are in place ... the biggest change: a much improved D-Line .... we will stop the run and we will regularly get pressure on the QB ..... the turnover stats are going up not down
-
What's the chances Walters can convince Bear Woods he can win the cup with MOS this year .... its the only way I think they could ink him within budget
-
The boys in Calgary say Winnipeg is the team to beat; these are the top two teams in the league and I concur In the east Montreal is turning into a gong show ... Durant won't be enough to keep them out of the basement Toronto will be much improved with the dynamic duo back in place but need time ... they will contend in 2018 but will just get reorganized this year Ottawa is in let down mode and they say they are better but QB Harris just isn't a Henry Burris .... they are NOT going to be winning the close ones like before I believe Kent Austin finally gets it all put together but its going to depend on the glass QB protecting himself enough to put in a full season. Jones in Regina is NOT going to pleasantly surprise; in fact his true colors come out into full bloom .... I smell mutiny amongst the fans Edmonton has too much upheaval to be top notch but they should have their moments this year, perhaps not enough to cross over this time .... Toronto might out perform Edmonton this year .... management is everything Bo Levi Mitchell might be tested more this year than ever before but he has the best surrounding cast in the league, still .... sigh .... but we are coming up from the rear BC is going to be giving both Calgary & Winnipeg a hard time but they have not got enough veteran replacements to get by us and neither do they have the heart of a MOS team. The team spirit being built here will count for a lot.

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/prognosticator?s=t I think every poster here is a prognosticator ... but not too many of us like to be proven "wrong" by the facts later in the year .... too many say "I need more evidence, more data, can't do it now, ask me after the season is over", and all that So time to pluck up our courage and put on our man pants. Back up your forecast with some good reasoning and see who's ego gets battered the most ... and who gets bragging rights by playoff time Tell us what is what, really!

The gossip in the Stampeders camp right now is that they think the Bombers are the team to beat this year .... the number two rank in the CFL -

My starting receivers today based on performance this morning would be Adams, Dressler, Denmark & Coates .... all impressed me. The 5th receiver would be a multiple choice guess . Nichols was easily the best QB but my #2 from this a.m. is Apodaca .... he has a strong accurate arm, maybe the best in camp
