Lawless: O'Shea & Walters to return in 2016
bb1 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Why would any one want to come here after 3 years of a mess that MoS is gonna leave us when he gets canned next year? Name me one good coach in the CFl that took 3 years to field a competitive team? Only in Winnipeg could we settle for this tripe. -
7-11 last year if we are lucky 6-12 this year yea the anti MoS we just aren't patient enough, he just needs more time to find another good OC and special teams coach. Hopefully they fall in his lap cause he sure as hell can't pick em. People were calling Popp a circus well guess what circus is gonna make the playoffs over our clowns?

Then you could volunteer to be his offensive coordinator, cause they couldn't afford to pay one.Yes they could. 3,000 extra tickets sold per game over a full season is an extra ~2 million dollars. Not very good at math, hey?Once they put together a legitimate balance sheet that demonstrates an ability to operate the Football Club, IGF and service their debts we can start dreaming. They haven't done that since the stadium opened. I don't know how you budget for sellouts. Hiring Hufnagel isn't like flipping a switch.I didn't budget for a sellout with Huff. I budgeted for 3000 more per game which would be an average of 30-31k per game. Realistic if you look at attendance during the 2011 Swaggerville season. If Huff could produce a consistent 10-12 win team, he'd more than pay for his salary at $1 million per season as GM and HC.And if he wins 15 games over two seasons and you want to fire him? Can you, or are you too invested financially? Hufnagel's success isn't just him. He's got the best personnel guy in the recent history of the league with him, he's got Dickenson, Stubler etc. If you can't build that organization, what's the point of paying one person? His rep would certainly attract top notch people to work with him. Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of his staff followed him. Might take a year or two, but he'd produce a winner. So year two and we still have no winning team, no decent OC cuz we cant afford one, crappy talent from firing walters and replacing with no name scouts as we couldnt afford better.. And huff is on the hot seat.. And willy or our starter goes down for a long time.. You can say how awesome it could be but flipping the coin it could be just as much a disaster.. Fun game I suppose. Isn't what your describing what we are going through right now?

Why start a narrative that isn't there? What deflection?Ofcourse it's a rejection. When the government gets beat like this it's a rejection. It doesn't meant there aren't other reasons. But certainly a rejection of the government. Liberals + 39 in Quebec. NDP -51. That tells the story. Really? No jk unknown poster:)

ahhh...the voice of reason!Yeah we keep progressing like this we should hit 4 wins next year.......

You mentioned 9 linebackers (listed) and 1 backup receiver. Explain why this was a roster management no no. Serious question.Cause our offense sucks and we are playing Stoudemire as one of our REC? Like WTF? -
Yeah your right this is what Harper was worried about.
-
No gullible is believing that the big bad conservative boogeyman actually give a rats ass about equality.
-
Symbols of oppression? Listen if I believed you were gullible enough to fall for that I would just shake my head and move on.Its just another ploy by a party to win an election and you know it.
-
I'm not a MOS fan but it would seem to me this falls on Hall no?
-
Well if that's his ONLY problem it's still huge cause this is pro ball and you go with players if they produce period. BTW you can throw in holding on to a subpar OC as well which falls on MOS.
-
Burmi had a good game can't score but we probably don't need him to.Still kinda not sold on Petan on the fourth, this kid needs to play.Confident that Maurice will do what's best for him though great coach at developing players imo.

Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
bb1 replied to Westy Sucks's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So no help for our struggling offense?Just one backup Cdn rec?We can still win but our reliance on the D to carry us is gonna kick us in ass sooner or later Imo. -
I agree with some of this article but there is no way in hell Harper gives up his power even if the Cons squeak in.There is only one way to ensure Harper leaves.

He is the most experienced clipboard holder we have.I hear he is great at fetching MB his beer when he is formulating the game plan as well.

Edmonton Oilers LOL (perhaps Calgary Flames LOL)

Waaay to early to make that comparison.I just hope they don't put too much pressure on McDavid. -
Give me a break. There are better qbs out there that haven't been signed. Free agents. It's called RECRUITING, Mike.I've heard of recruiting once or twice. I'll try explaining once more. How can you, as a fan, say Davis is worth cutting when you're basically going off absolutely nothing? You say there are better quarterbacks out there. Obviously. But if that's your argument, we may as well just cut everyone because we're not rostering the best anything in the whole world right now.I'm asking you - how can you justifiable say with any confidence that he should (or should not) be cut when you're giving a blind opinion on the topic? We haven't seen him do anything, good or bad. Mike, this is a merry go round with you. Round & round. As usual when you start up with me it always ends this way. You're actually arguing with me over the merits of keeping a fourth string qb?? What I said was my opinion. If I could see this discussion actually going somewhere I'd be more interested in carrying on. I'm done talking to you. Buh bye. It's funny because everyone can see I've actually been trying to get your take on something for like the last 8 posts and you just keep dodging it. You can blame me for a merry-go-round if you want but I'm not the one refusing to answer a simple question.Iso's gonna IsoA different opinion doesn't mean he's wrong. A few posters ganging up on a member doesn't mean that member is wrong either. It's not about a different opinion, it's about refusing to back up his opinion and opting instead to try and pretend like people are attacking him for having an opinion as opposed for asking for that opinion to be clarified and expanded upon. I swear there is a real lack of understanding the difference here. Yes, I'm guilty as charged for the crime of having an opinion. For that I am being sentenced to death by hanging. There's the gallows. Throw the lever & drop the floor. Let me hang until dead. Yea, though I walk through the Valley Of The Shadow Of Death, I fear no evil. Thy rod & thy staff, they comfort me. I'm entitled to one last dinner of choice, prime rib on the barbecue. Also a cigarette & whiskey on the rocks before my execution. I also have but one last simple request... I have a letter in my back pocket for my family. Please make sure they get it & tell them... I loved them.. But wait the rope broke (it was frayed ) and now he plots his revenge........

No cuss, when I heard about that it immediately brought this :Maybe Harper can use that quote:What eva I do what I want!
-
Please not Gagner in any shape or form even if he is a throw in!
-
Really if none of these guys can't supplant Brohm what hope do they have?Unless (shock)it's all because of that wacky OC we have?
-
No Iso's statement was bang on there is no revelant experience for running a country. But hey at least Harper is bringing in Ford to the rescue! Now that's experience for ya!

Well at least we won't have to hear about how it's only Harper that can save Canada from the evils of the world. When our economy doesn't self destruct because Harper isn't personally running it what then? I can hear you pro cons yelling the horror the horror.I think that the smartest thing Trudeau can do is get the GST back up to 7%. That will solve any budgetary deficits for years to come. If he can show surpluses then he will dispel any myths about the Liberals being able to manage the economy. Ralph Goodale was a good finance minister in the past and I expect, if given the job again, he will be good in the future.Perhaps also a lot of this anti-Harper bitterness will fade too. Man do people hate that guy. It's like he personally went around Canada kicking everyone's dogs. I don't get it, and I guess I never will. Oh well. And posting lists of hundreds of reasons why he was so bad, mostly complete lies, won't help me understand this hatred any better, I am afraid. Can't answer for others but here is my reason. Its the abject arrogance that he shows.Setting the longest election in history so that the Cons can inundate us with ads that the other parties cannot afford.Actually believing that they are the only party that can lead this country without causing a disaster. Harper's latest add says it's not a popularity contest kids do what's best for Canada. Finally Harper knows everything about how to properly run our country but hasn't a clue what his personal aides are up to? Yeah ok. Can't really argue with that one. Honestly, when governments get to the 10 year age range, they really do get extremely arrogant. Yes I agree with you.Only have to look at the NDP here in Manitoba as well. The power corrupts adage is true unfortunately.

Yeah ok. You're either very young or have a very short memory. other than "long election" you can replace "Harper" and "Conservatives" with "Cretien" and "Liberals" in your post, and you sum up their "dynasty" pretty well too.Ahh condescension you do it well unknown poster.
