Most likely Officer Chauvin will be convicted of manslaughter as it is impossible to prove intent, the other 3 will receive lesser sentences or possibly walk. This will not appease the masses who expect his execution, brace yourself for round two of "America burns" once the verdict is announced.

I disagree, no one is watching or commenting on the actual protest marches which have been reasonably well-organized and occur mostly during the daytime, the night-time rioting is the main focus of this thread, people seem unable or unwilling to differentiate between the two events, but they are separate.

Hitler was enormously popular with the German masses, they let him do whatever he thought best, Trump leaves only division and disrespect in his wake.

She's been pushing this for awhile, basically get outdoors instead of sitting in the house where germs can spread more easily, but keep away from other people. I've taken her word and go stand in the forest for 3 hours everyday.

Obama is right, rural America is a very insular place, they don't pay a lot of attention to anything going on outside of their lives or communities thus change comes very slowly as the young are educated by the old, passing on their attitudes and values. They would look at recent events as a freak show that could only happen in big cities, the negative footage and imagery will only make them entrench deeper within their own beliefs.

Don't mean to pick on you Tracker but this story has some wires crossed and the presentation of facts is important, these photos look like they were possibly taken from a re-enactment of the event as colour photog. was not at all common in 1955, even less so in 1944. Emmett Till 14 was kidnapped from his Uncle's home in Mississippi in 1955, executed and dumped in the Tallahatchie River for allegedly flirting with a white shop-keeper who later recanted specific details of her testimony in an interview granted in 2008. This was not a govt. sanctioned execution, although sure enough a jury of their peers let the accused parties walk. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmett_Till George Stinney was a 14 year old boy executed by electric chair by the State of South Carolina in 1944 for allegedly murdering two girls, ages 7 and 11. His conviction was overturned in 2014, 70 years after he was executed when a court ruled that he had not received a fair trial. Stephen King was inspired by this case to write his book “The Green Mile”, which was made into a movie released in 1999. https://lifenroots.com/en/the-real-story-behind-the-green-mile-you-will-cry/

Take a look at how those people are dressed, does it look like they intend to stay inside for the night and obey the curfew order, wearing full masks to conceal their identities, hoodies and coats, or are they preparing to break the law and join in the fun just as soon as the police clear their neighbourhood? You're defending people that are largely part of the current problem. Hey I get it, I'm all for peaceful protest, this has gone well beyond a protest movement and is now a full-fledged riot, which as has been proven many times in the past will not create any positive solutions. As for Ford, GM and whatever is left of Chrysler, last time I checked they were still producing autos in suburbs removed from Detroit in massive quantities.

Sounds like a theory, not supported by real evidence. Not denying groups like this are involved but the bulk of the damage is being executed by local kids of all colours, re:the arrest reports. "Minnesota Governor Tim Walz echoed this sentiment in a press conference on Saturday alleging that the demonstrations that caused so much damage included provocateurs, likely from outside the area. State officials said around 80 percent of those arrested in the Twin Cities on Friday were from outside Minnesota. Former FBI agent and CNN commentator, Josh Campbell wrote, that Minnesota “authorities have been monitoring alleged criminals online, including postings by suspected white supremacists trying to incite violence.”

Minneapolis has instituted a curfew, interpret it how you like. Instead of obeying direct orders like every other household on this street managed to do, these people decided to create another point of conflict, to what end? Allowing people to run amok leads to solutions like Detroit. Want to invest your money in a home or business in Detroit? Plenty of bargains to be had...
-
Count how many warnings these people received to get inside their house which they ignored, at least 7-10 direct warnings . Bad things happen to stupid people and these stupid people happen to be white.

Do you have any evidence of this? There is evidence that suggests most protesters are local. A review of all the arrests made by Minneapolis-based police agencies for rioting, unlawful assembly and burglary-related crimes from Friday to Saturday tells a different story. KARE 11 found that of 36 cases, about 86 percent of those arrested listed Minnesota as their address. The data, taken from the Hennepin County Jail’s roster, shows that nearly all of the people arrested in likely connection to the riots live in Minneapolis or the metro area. The five cases from outside Minnesota were of people listed as living in Missouri, Florida, Arkansas, Michigan and Illinois. Data provided Saturday afternoon by St. Paul police also appears to contradict the narrative that the majority of the violence is being caused by people from outside the state. Of the 18 people arrested from Thursday to Saturday morning, 12 listed Minnesota as their address. Two were from North Dakota, one from Wisconsin, and one from Texas. Addresses for two others weren’t listed. St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said during the Saturday morning press conference, “Every single person we arrested last night I’m told was from out of state.” https://www.kare11.com/article/news/investigations/kare-11-investigates-records-show-arrests-mostly-minnesotans-as-george-floyd-protests-riots-continue-minneapolis-st-paul/89-73f3e0e8-0664-41d5-8d3e-4467d04da7cb

The title of this thread is "Minnesota Riots" and that's precisely what I'm commenting on, I'm not discusssing the protest, the BLM movement or Trump politics, which seems to dominate almost every other thread.
-
I have nothing against the actual protesters, but these clips have virtually nothing to do with the declared protest, it is pure opportunism to participate in mayhem, damage property and grab loot with reduced odds of being caught. As for the demographic, there seems to be just as many white kids as black involved and the majority of them look to be student age, so I can't see many being affiliated with white supremacists or Trump supporters. For the most part they're idiot kids.
-
These people represent no cause, they're in it for the destruction, violence and looting, they do not represent the B.L.M. movement, nor are they white supremacists or professional agitators spurred on by Trump, they are nothing more than hoodlums. In fact representatives of B.L.M. should step forward and denounce these activities so they can distance themselves from this destruction and theft.
-
This is about as ugly as it gets, 10+ young males attack a man defending his business with a skateboard . There is no rational explanation for this behaviour, the people involved are no better than the cop that committed the original crime . Time for Trump to announce a Natl. curfew and bring the army in to take control of the hot spots.

Wannabees in Toronto looking for any excuse to break out and show they world class too! Globalnews.ca @globalnews 54m Thousands gathered in Toronto on Saturday in response to Korchinski-Paquet’s death, as well as the wider issue of anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism. Thousands rally in Toronto after death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet The protest, shared on social media under the hashtag #JusticeForRegis and organized by the group Not Another Black Life, began at 2 p.m. at Christie Pits park. globalnews.ca At this point there is no evidence the victim died at the hands of the police. "Relatives of 29-year-old Regis Korchinski-Paquet, who fell from the balcony of a Toronto apartment tower Wednesday night, say they called police to help her get through a mental health crisis and instead she ended up dead." Amazing how quickly everyone has forgotten about social distancing. This is in Toronto.

Minneapolis vs. Joker (2019). We saw this coming.

This event has grown well beyond a "protest", it should be classified as a riot moving on towards anarchy at this point, time for some fully-automatic weapons to put a stop to the party and take back the streets. Just as many non-blacks involved in creating chaos as blacks, here is a video of some suburban kid's having fun ripping stuff up, the target looks to be a US Postal depot.
