  1. Mo Leggett weighs in on secondary issues.
  2. Problem is when another country like China holds much of that debt, it's naive to think they won't eventually want to collect.
  3. "Our league" "Our team" "Our rules" "Don't like it???"
  4. WINNIPEG, MB., September 24, 2019 ? The #Bombers add six as part of their practice-roster expansion, release RB Larry Rose III and DB Chris Humes. Trevor Knight (QB) (6-0, 188, New Hampshire, December 13, 1995, Amherst, NH) was a three-year starter at UNH and finished fifth in school history in career completions (590) and sixth in passing yards (6,345). Meffy Koloamatangi (6-5, 240, University of Hawai?i, June 24, 1995, East Palo Alto, CA) played five games with the BC Lions through June and July of this year, recording three special teams tackles. Koloamatangi was named to the 2017 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List prior to the start of that season. He finished the year with 31 tackles, 6 tackles-for-loss, and six quarterback hurries. Jawill Davis (6-1, 191, Bethune-Cookman, April 6, 1995, Miami, FL) was claimed off waivers by the Packers on May 7, 2019, playing in one pre-season game before being released on August 10. Prior to that, Davis signed with the New York Giants as a UFA after going unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft. He finished his rookie season with the Giants with four receptions for 40 yards and 260 total return yards in seven games. David Kenney (6-2, 250, Illinois State, February 6, 1995, Indianapolis, IN) was released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 30, 2019 after signing as a tryout player this past summer after being out of football since 2015. Kenney saw action in seven games in 2015 on the ISU roster and was credited with 11 tackles before being dismissed from the team. Trey Johnson (5-11, 170, Villanova University, September 27, 1994, Lutz, FL) signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in April 2018 but spent the season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury and was waived from the IR list in January 2019. Johnson then spent time with the Denver Broncos in training camp before being released. Johnson played in all 13 games for Villanova in 2016, recording 33 tackles, seven pass breakups, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Jordan Robinson (5-11, 185, Sacramento State, April 28, 1995, Torrance, CA) played four seasons at Sacramento State from 2013-16 and ended his collegiate career with the fourth-most career rushing yards (2,823) in Sacramento State history. Robinson signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2018, tallying seven carries for 23 yards and also hauled in five passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Robinson also added 209 punt return yards and 539 kickoff return yards that year, and played in one game for the Eskimos this season, collecting 131 kickoff return yards and four punt return yards.
  5. Transition is happening right now, I notice a couple of Teslas every day because they're the most recognizable EV, other brands are not as identifiable but they're out there. This is the front edge of the wedge, within 5 years I wouldn't be surprised if around 20-30% of new car sales are electric.....and I'll be one of them.
  6. Hardrick also got turnstiled a couple of times in the 4th Q., I can accept he's not playing at 100% health but his mobility seems to be very limited and he's been off his game for much of this season. He should be sat down until his health recovers, they've got two Import O-linemen sitting on the PR, Rodgers and Williams, it's time to see what they can do.
  7. It's not like V. Adams has a rocket arm, he was throwing up rainbows that the D-backs were easily knocking down and coming close to picking off...until they weren't, then miraculously the Als receivers were getting behind the secondary for big gains. As for Hecht, he never uses his arms when tackling, he launches himself horizontally and usually whiffs or bounces off receivers with no damage done, kind of like a dud skud missile.
  8. What I can't begin to fathom is how an unstoppable running game in the first half completely ceases up in the second half.
  9. O'Shea admits to instructing LaPo to run the ball to run the clock out on the last drive so it's not all on LaPo. 1:12 of yesterday's interview. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/09/21/coach-oshea-post-game-51/ Same reply as last thread.

  11. Quantify, just how many times has Demski fumbled the ball this year? I'll give you a hint, not half as many times as Harris has.
  12. Thank god we can shirk our responsibilities, I will no longer pay to have my sewage tank pumped out, I live on the side of a mountain that naturally drains down to a lake. Economically I will come out further ahead if I just pipe my **** down the creek bed into the lake, I don't give a **** if my neighbours like it or not, it's all good.
  13. They mostly live in fenced compounds or gated communities with private security forces for protection, so they're well prepared for any catastrophe that may befall the rest of society, it won't effect them much. Lots of islands to flee to.
  14. Trump revokes waiver for California to set higher auto emissions standards, because no one wants cleaner air. Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he was revoking California's authority to set its own vehicle emission standards, the latest move in the Trump administration's ongoing fight with the Golden State and attempts to chip away at former President Barack Obama's environmental legacy. "The Trump Administration is revoking California's Federal Waiver on emissions in order to produce far less expensive cars for the consumer, while at the same time making the cars substantially SAFER," Trump tweeted. The President made the announcement while visiting California for fundraisers. He was in his hotel in Los Angeles when he sent the tweets. California's waiver under the Clean Air Act allowed it to set standards tighter than the federal standards, which have been adopted by more than a dozen states and became the de-facto nationwide standard, because automakers do not design different sets of vehicles to meet different standards in different states. The Trump administration has long been at odds with California, especially on environmental issues. Talks between California environmental regulators and the administration broke down earlier this year. Yet this summer, the state negotiated an agreement with several automakers to design cars to meet standards higher than those set by the federal government. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/18/politics/epa-trump-california/index.html
  15. Sure, it's their vote, what right do I have to tell people who to vote for? Maybe stop looking at the world as if you have the only perspective that is valid.
  16. I like a balanced attack, for a few years after they changed the P.I. rule the running game was almost forgotten about and everybody went pass-happy, the better teams now realize they can't win with out a strong running attack. Credit the Bombers and A.H. for leading the way.
  17. So you support McCarthyism? Democratic society means people can vote for whoever they want, they have their reasons, you have yours.
  18. Many people seem to be calling for Trudeau's head so I don't see your point, it's a free society, people are free to express their opinions even if they don't match your own.
  19. I went to an early 80's costume party dressed as Gladys Knight, blackface, tiara, sparkly dress and all......I had no choice, my 3 buddies were dressed as "The Pips" and they had the dance moves and the backing vocals down pat, only one of them was actually black and he also wore blackface to match. We had a blast, so I don't feel bad about it. So what. Cutting loose in ones younger days should not discourage future life ambitions, unless maybe you own a crystal ball and can see the future. It's in the past, "you had to be there at the time", is apropos to events like this.
  20. Sorry you missed the point of my post, it was to illustrate that Postmedia is anxious to climb into bed with the Conservatives in order to spread misinformation in the form of "advertorials" throughout their media outlets. An example of which was just debunked by Wideleft's post above, the oil end of the equation was discussed previously prior to the Alberta election.
  21. Give Derek Jones another 5 years and he might figure out why he wants to be a football player. O-Shea: "Hey Derek, we just lost Loffler, we know you're a starter and you've certainly paid your dues, how would you like to start at Safety this year? Jones: "Ah...sure Coach, wherefore does I stand?" O-Shea: "Hmmm......Derek, meet Jeff Hecht." Jones: "Gee, he's a real shorty." Hecht: "Hi Derek, if you've got a minute can you give my socks a quick rinse." Jones: "......hokay."
  22. He's got the excuses covered. "Last year wasn't an anomaly, but it was a crazy year," Johnson said leading up to Saturday's home game against the Montreal Alouettes. "People don't understand that a lot of things have to go right to get a sack and it might not seem like that. The system I'm playing in now is different from the one I played in Calgary." “I finished up pretty strong last year and that’s what I’m focused on doing. Earlier on (in the 2019) season, I was adjusting to the system and trying to understand where I fit in. Then I got it going and the ankle injury happened. I really think that I can finish strong.” https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/saskatchewan-roughriders-defensive-tackle-micah-johnson-looking-to-build-on-first-sack?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1568298894
  23. ....and so it begins. Remember we were told the Conservatives were going to do this a couple of months ago, unfortunately most people forget. https://www.nationalobserver.com/2019/05/17/news/postmedia-lobbies-get-involved-jason-kenneys-oilpatch-war-room "Postmedia has hired a lobbying firm with close ties to Alberta Premier Jason Kenney in order to participate in the United Conservative Party government's new $30 million public relations "war room" in support of oil and gas companies." Nick Koolsbergen, previously Kenney's chief of staff and campaign director in the UCP's winning 2019 campaign, founded the new lobbying firm, Wellington Advocacy in early May, a few weeks after the Alberta election. Not long after, he filed a report with the Alberta Lobbyists Registry, indicating his firm was hired "to discuss ways Postmedia could be involved in the government's energy war room." A spokeswoman for Postmedia, which operates Canada's largest chain of newspapers including the Sun newspaper chain, said on Friday that the lobbying was related to a commercial division of the media company, separate from its editorial staff. This commercial division produces advertising content that appears in its publications in what is known as advertorials — ads that resemble news articles and other editorial content."
  24. Hervey also had Paul Jones opinion to rely on in Edm. on player personnel matters, he shooed away Rigmaiden and installed a flunky he brought with him from the Esks. as chief U.S. scout, no idea who they have covering Canada.
