  1. You may recall Mike Jones fumbling a punt return close to the goal line in the second pre-season game, other than that he looked quite good at DB, smallish but aggressive.
  2. That's the CFL.ca headline, I didn't even notice the mistake. 😄
  3. MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes have released quarterback Brandon Banks and added Antonio Pipkin to the active roster, the team announced Wednesday. https://www.cfl.ca/2019/07/31/als-release-bridge-activate-pipkin/
  4. Disagree, remove O-line blocking for Harris and he ends up with a 3.5 yd. average per carry, one of his best assets is utilizing his blockers.
  5. It will be interesting to see if Powell romps on them this weekend, the TiCats may see that coming but might not be able to shut it down.
  6. To be fair Wilder doesn't have much blocking help in T.O., every time he touches the ball it's like a major battle to gain even a few yards. No wonder he's injured.
  7. Sure thing Robin Hood, he hit a moving target in the shoulder at 30 yards, I'd say that's pretty close.
  8. My Aunt spotted them outside Plum Coulee milking a cow. She's been residing in a "home" for quite a few years.
  9. Looks like the boys are going home after accomplishing zilch, despite the rampant fear. https://www.chrisd.ca/2019/07/30/york-landing-british-columbia-murder-suspects-search/#.XUBaUB1KhnI
  10. So he says, but thank gawd that loss occurred in Hamilton and not at home, it seems Nichols can't buy an ounce of slack from a Wpg, audience. There always seems to a segment of the crowd primed to boo at his first sign of failure.
  11. Streveler has been a Bomber for a year and a half and if anything his progression has regressed compared to what he showed as a starter in the first 3 games of last season. I blame LaPo for brainwashing him by only allowing him to watch LeFevour game film.
  12. Interesting that Collaros was eligible to begin practising this week but was a no-show at today's practice, maybe another stint on the 6 game or retirement pending. https://regina.ctvnews.ca/collaros-absent-from-practice-despite-eligibility-1.4528275
  13. Walters suggesting in his interview today that Kongbo will have to start on ST and earn reps at DE, he's happy with the production of the D-line and doesn't want to disrupt the rotation.
  14. I think Nichols weakness may lie in balancing his emotions, and that's not an easy or a quick fix. I believe that was one of the keys to Ricky Ray's game, he was a great technician who never got too high or too low, no matter how it was going, rarely smiled, rarely cried. Nancy Greene once said that she didn't win a World Cup ski race until she stopped worrying about the results and learned to detach herself from the stress that trying to win created, after that change in attitude she won two World Cup Championships, two Olympic medals and retired at 24.
  15. Past evidence shows that when Nichols gets rattled and throws a couple of interceptions early on he has difficulty getting back on track. Even going back to 2017 when BC and Calgary stole a few games from the Bombers, Nichols was not able to adequately respond to the challenge posed by second half comebacks. This is something he definitely has to learn to overcome when facing stronger teams, if they expect to challenge for the G.C..
  16. I'm grooving 1984, what's a twitter?
  17. Fenner to SAM, move Humes to CB and bring Mike Jones off the PR for returns. What year are you living in?
  18. The way 3 Down Nation is begging for money they may not be long for this world. It would be unfortunate if they couldn't survive on ad revenues but not uncommon.
  19. Who said anything about not continuing to search for them? I'm just suggesting they use a reasonable amount of resources to conduct the search. Given the unforgiving terrain eventually they will be forced to come out of the bush and since they've already been identified as a pair of tall skinny freaks it shouldn't be hard for the public to identify them. Do you think they will intentionally draw attention to themselves by murdering more people? Just because it's become the media "flavour-favourite" of the week is no reason to pour unlimited resources into the search, they certainly have never done that for the 50+ aboriginal women murdered or missing along Northern BC highways. As for the cost accounting, who knows the actual cost? No one will bother keeping track.
  20. I'll check those out. Not British but "Run Ronnie Run!" with David Cross is a classic.
  21. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/homicide-northern-bc-manitaba-1.5227846 Anyone else disturbed that we're spending perhaps 10's of millions of tax-payer's money in wages and over-time pursuing these two homicide suspects? There seems to be no cost accountability when it comes to drawing from the government bank account. In addition to RCMP members from across Canada joining in the search they're now bringing in the military to assist, yet they don't seem to be certain which province they're actually hiding in. It's no wonder we're perpetually running up a huge deficit, nobody cares about project costs.
  22. They better find something better to fall back on than Danny O'Brien if they do. Bryan Bennett would be a step up imo.
  23. They're generally good people, until they morph into "Hot Fuzz" and lose their moral compass.
  24. Euthanizing David Braley would be a good place to start.
  25. HaHa, Wally wants nothing to do with the current mess, he's happy to be retired.
