  1. That's nothing if you've seen what Wilfred does to "Bear".
  2. This is the worst I can recall the CFL ever looking, usually the majority of the West is strong and there are at least 2 good teams in the East, I blame rampant Free Agency with many teams having to flip 10-15 players and start over again each year, half with lousy QB's. If the entertainment value of the games remains poor past L-Day the league is going to lose a huge percentage of their TSN viewing audience due to disinterest, further damaging the league's reputation. The only thing that makes this season half-way tolerable is that the Bombers are currently sitting on top of the smoking rubble heap.
  3. Speaking of punches to the face, anybody heard from Gotmilt?
  4. Always wondered about this, but when an old pro like Milt says "young players need to learn to be professionals" does that mean avoiding the bar circuit altogether?
  5. Sure they do Jim, and all puke-ity green. It's like having the world's largest selection of Ebola contaminated cinnamon buns for sale.
  6. I sense Nichols getting a bit too high and too happy, he's got to keep an even keel and stay away from the roller-coaster ride he fell off last year. As Harris says "don't get high on your own juice". Hopefully memories of last year's boo-parade ring in Nichols ears nightly as a reminder of how quickly it can all fall apart. A well timed but meaningless loss may be in order to help keep the team grounded going into L-Day for an enormous butt kicking of the mighty useless Riders.
  7. I beg your pardon?
  8. That's why you're a perfect representative of conservative party values, because you think your opinion trumps scientific evidence no matter the subject. Don't worry, following the "food guide" isn't mandatory, feel free to continue to wash your Baconator down with Crown Royal. 😊
  9. This is quite hilarious, Scheer is attacking the Canada Food Guide because it's recommending healthier food choices instead of pushing us towards the products of his backers devoid of scientific rational. "The Canada Food Guide is based on evidence, based on science, based on research," Trudeau told reporters in Victoria on Thursday. "The process was flawed," Scheer said of the new guide. "Complete lack of consultation. Seems to be ideologically driven by people who have a philosophical perspective and a bias against certain types of healthy food products. So absolutely we want to get that right." "Dr. Yoni Freedhoff, a professor at the University of Ottawa who specializes in obesity, said that the only explanation for Scheer's comments, which he described as "intensely stupid," is that they are meant to curry political favour. It is biased in favour of health, evidence and science," he said in an interview. "And that is the way it should be."" https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/scheer-trudeau-canada-food-guide-1.5216957
  10. The age of the Internet is changing everything, we have more choices and much more competition for our time, dollars and attention. Going to a game takes a commitment of time and money, much easier to flick on the tube and play video games or watch anything, anytime on specialty channels such as Netflix. It's not like the old days when we had a few channels to choose from and no choice but to follow their broadcast schedule, at least back then we had a rudimentary understanding that spending excessive time in front of the tube was a bad habit and a waste of time.
  11. Every week same old thing, somethings wrong with the program, good football games are too few and far between.
  12. I thought there was probably helmet contact on that sack, MBT's head definitely snapped back at one point.
  13. Stamps D certainly doesn't look that imposing, not much of a pass rush.
  14. The Argos should pick up Stef. Logan and get rid of Rainey, he cost them a lot of money and he's not earning it.
  15. Refs. let it play out, which makes the call harder to over-turn. Consequences.
  16. Ian Wild on the 6 game and no sign of Poop on the Argo roster, looks like he was cut July 10, missed it. I guess Popp cut Poop.
  17. Goodlow became the first player in CFL history to reach 100 receptions in a season during the 1981 season. Goodlow joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers late in 1980 and had 17 catches in just 5 games. In 1981, Goodlow had a monster year with 100 catches for 1494 yards, which strangely enough only netted hm a West All-Star honour. Goodlow only played 6 games in 1982, but still had 30 catches and 515 yards. Goodlow then jumped to the NFL and played with New Orleans from 1983 to 1986. He returned to the CFL for a short 2 game sting with Ottawa in 1989. https://www.cflapedia.com/Players/g/goodlow_eugene.htm
  18. J. Edgar Hoover syndrome.
  19. Miles looks a little thick to be covering receivers, I can't see them playing him at WIL. I don't know why they don't start Wilson at MLB and stick Warren in at WIL, ratio is irrelevant.
  20. This has been bugging me for a solid week but this isn't the first time Lawler had a brain fart, he did a similar thing in the Esks. pre-season game. Caught the ball almost sitting down, left it sitting on his lap because he thought he was already down and an Esk. defender came from behind and knocked it out, lucky it wasn't declared a fumble. O'Shea challenged to no avail. Unfortunately I can't find any video of the play but there is this evidence. (10:56) B. BENNETT Incomplete Pass intended for K. LAWLER at E20, PLAY REVIEWED (Coach): Call Stands, CHALLENGE: Winnipeg challenged the incomplete pass

  22. Everybody knew the UCP was going to win the election, including Kenney. So why did he chose to cheat? Did he think they would not get caught or does he not care either way? Even after an investigation has revealed tons of dirt, Kenney will admit to none of it. 'Kamikaze' Alberta UCP leadership candidate fined $70,000 for irregular donations" Callaway ran a "kamikaze" campaign on behalf of Jason Kenney, now Alberta's premier. Kenney won the UCP leadership on Oct. 28, 2017, after the Alberta Progressive Conservative and Wildrose parties merged. Callaway ran for the sole purpose of targeting Kenney's chief rival, former Wildrose leader Brian Jean, and then dropping out of the race to support Kenney. Both men deny the allegations, but CBC News has obtained emails showing higher-ups in Kenney's campaign circle providing resources — strategic political direction, media and debate talking points, speeches, videos and attack advertisements — to the Callaway campaign. There was a timeline for when Callaway would drop out of the campaign and throw his support behind Kenney. Kenney's deputy chief of staff, Matt Wolf, even emailed a resignation speech to Callaway the day he dropped out of the leadership race. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/jeff-callaway-kamikaze-commissioner-fines-1.5216446
  23. Prices have been increasing across the board on everything, name one item that hasn't seen a substantial price increase over the last 3 years? In the 70's inflation was talked about on a daily basis, now the media doesn't even mention it.
  24. Curious, what is the price range for Jets season tickets?
