  1. I couldn't figure that statement out, Walters said he was the 4th of 4 Canadians behind Demski and Woli., which must mean he was ranked behind Petermann, Oliveira and Augustine. I guess if two Natl. receivers go down they will play Petermann and make a ratio adjustment elsewhere. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/10/kyle-walters-season-preview-press-conference/ As for your comment on 2 FB's, Harris and Oliveira play and Augustine backs up both positions, so 3 are needed. Rush is ST only.
  2. This article makes a very good point, the term "climate change" should be changed to "climate crisis" as the effects are being felt right now. British newspaper takes lead in reframing climate change discussion https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/climate-change-journalism-language-guardian-cbc-1.5166678
  3. It sounds as if desperation is beginning to take over from logic, hopefully they have some background in football or more connection to Montreal than just being born there. Reeks of Glieberman.
  4. Both are still in there 20's so I would think age is not a factor and the acquisition of 3 years knowledge of the CFL game should be seen as a big plus, so this decision baffles me considering Bennett showed very well this year and logically the #3 job was his to keep. Perhaps Bennett surveyed the QB situation across the CFL and gave them an ultimatum, "make me #2 or cut me loose".....I dunno. Very good chance one of Nichols or Streveler is not here next year so #3 graduates to #2 and steps closer to the firing line, not many QB's have a good command of the O after sitting on the sidelines watching for one year, which is a likely scenario as McGuire will probably not get any playing time this season.
  5. By week two Khari might be wearing the GM cap as well.
  6. Right now Streveller has attained his "Lefevour" level which is infinitely useful, but it's up to him to take it higher.
  7. Shamawd Chambers, Devon Bailey, Rashaun Simonese, Kito Poblah, these guys remind me of that singing frog. GM's can't believe their good fortune when they stumble upon Natl. receivers with such outstanding measurables and athletic talent.....but eventually after they under-perform they decide to put them back in the box and skulk away.
  8. As well as the long forgotten Matt Coates, he may not be a starter but he makes a decent backup and he's handy on ST's.
  9. BMW is using carbon fiber to make their I-3 electric vehicle and has set up the world's largest carbon fiber research facility and factory in Moses Lake, Wash, http://www.recycling-carbon.org/en/2018/05/15/bmw-i3-trial/ Comparing the disposal of windmill blades to the orphan well problem is a red-herring IMO. One is a temporary problem looking for a technical solution, the other is a permanent scar upon the land being wilfully committed by an unethical industry that has no intention of ever solving the problem.
  10. Due to the timing this sure looks related to cut down day, Sherman probably made up a list of cuts and Kavis vetoed it and made his own. "We had identified some key elements from last year where we wanted to see some changes, but unfortunately, these adjustments did not materialize. These decisions are never easy to take, but we believe that this is the right one to make. Our team is in good hands as Khari showed great things in 2018 and has a very solid experience in the CFL."
  11. The knife didn't cut deep enough, that elusive devil Kavis survives again!
  12. Hopefully these drastic actions have something to do with an upcoming sale to be announced shortly.
  13. Eye in the sky appears to be working the way it should be, overturning calls on the go.
  14. They usually reserve those positions for the final cuts.
  15. That McRoberts looked pretty good.
  16. Neufeld I doubt Neufeld will be ready to go next week, with no TC, no pre-season games, it will be tough for him to jump into game action from a conditioning standpoint. There is a good chance they start Grey, Couture and Desjarlais against BC.
  17. It's pretty clear the Riders are following the same game plan as the Bombers, they're just a couple of years behind in personnel and execution. Collaros showed flashes of his 2015 version last night a couple of times, he's a much better QB when he can use roll-outs to extend plays and throw on the run. Question is will he do that during the regular season or will he hide in the pocket and try to get the ball out of his hands as fast as humanly possible to avoid the rush and protect his gourd. When tied to the pocket he becomes much less effective. As for their running game, I don't think Sask. has the horses but with the RB's William Powell is the guy that went toe to toe with Harris last year and racked up 2 hundred yard performances against a pretty strong Bomber D.
  18. McGuuire would probably accept a P.R. spot, quite certain Bennett would not, nor would I blame him.
  19. The CFL needs to demand better coverage from TSN, including complete highlight packages on their website, of the 3 games played last night they dedicated less than 1 minute in total to the highlights of all 3 games. The least they could do is show every TD, big play and turnover and maybe try to get the players names right. In the Bomber highlight video the commentator has Collaros completing a TD pass to #1 receiver, "Darwin Adams".
  20. Krautzenhammer.......even German nicknames are long.
  21. Sorry but that won't do, please give the Dr. a decent sendoff.
  22. Blame O'Day for being old school, Riders streamed a pre-season game last year.
  23. Turned out to be a decent feed, can't imagine trying to follow a game like that with so many different components without any visuals.
