Imagine all of the dead wood the US government could free itself of it they would institute a mandatory retirement age of 65 for all levels of government including the president. It'd be a major paradigm shift in flushing away entrenched values and bringing in new blood.

For the sake of Nichols mental health they really shouldn't practice that play!

I have to believe that sooner or later we will start to see a decline in A.H's abilities and perhaps it begins to happen this year. It could show up in reduced touches in an effort to better balance the O. or through more games lost to injuries, but inevitably it's going to happen as he can't be expected to perform at super-human levels forever. The timing of his decline would be quite manageable this year with Augustine and Oliveira in place to back him up, transitioning to eventually replace him in a couple of years.

Let's play connect-o-dots. https://www.nationalobserver.com/2019/05/17/news/postmedia-lobbies-get-involved-jason-kenneys-oilpatch-war-room "Postmedia has hired a lobbying firm with close ties to Alberta Premier Jason Kenney in order to participate in the United Conservative Party government's new $30 million public relations "war room" in support of oil and gas companies." Nick Koolsbergen, previously Kenney's chief of staff and campaign director in the UCP's winning 2019 campaign, founded the new lobbying firm, Wellington Advocacy in early May, a few weeks after the Alberta election. Not long after, he filed a report with the Alberta Lobbyists Registry, indicating his firm was hired "to discuss ways Postmedia could be involved in the government's energy war room." A spokeswoman for Postmedia, which operates Canada's largest chain of newspapers including the Sun newspaper chain, said on Friday that the lobbying was related to a commercial division of the media company, separate from its editorial staff. This commercial division produces advertising content that appears in its publications in what is known as advertorials — ads that resemble news articles and other editorial content." https://twitter.com/nkoolsbergen/status/1125433864502087680/photo/1 "Excited to announce the launch of Wellington Advocacy with @reicurran" "Rachel Curran is a Senior Associate at Harper and Associates." https://www.stephenharper.com/harper-associates/ So in essence former P.M. Harper will be working with the Post Media chain to create a ****-storm of disinformation prior to this falls Federal election. Don't be very surprised if the tactics used by Trump and the Internet Research Agency to increase political and social discord among Canadians are used in full force to influence the election. It's going to get ugly.

"Richards was cut due to an injury suffered on the first day of rookie camp in Winnipeg. The injury was believed to be a long-term ailment, leading to his release." Strange, so the Esks. are going to immediately stick this guy on their 6 game I.R.?
-
No Esks. or Argos either, TSN can do better than this. I like watching pre-season games, sometimes it's the only opportunity to see players like Tiny Montgomery in action before they're cut and disappeared.

Also Andrew Harris.

Just as a reference Dave Vankoughnett was 6'-4" 245 lbs. in case anyone thinks he looks small.

Esks. picked up Spooner and dropped Woods, both were pretty highly rated in their draft classes but haven't lived up to their promise. -
Whichever way you look at it's unlikely the Bombers will be able to afford both Nichols and Streveler next season, so that puts Bennett in a great position to step up into the #2 job. Streveler is lined up for a pay raise next off-season, whether he remains a Bomber and becomes the starter or goes elsewhere in F.A. to start he's going to get paid significantly more.

Damaged knee ligaments, will not be healthy until labour day. I can see him getting a lot of attention once healthy. -

I'm betting Chi Chi ends up working the booth. -
It would be an interesting development if the American media did not cheer-lead this invasion and actually provided a critical voice, something they have not done since the Vietnam war. Unfortunately without a steady stream of body bags filled with kids on the news nightly the American public will not pay any attention to this conflict.

Already signed by the RB's. -
They're obviously scurrying to get all of their ducks in a row but here is the beginning of the narrative......just sit back and watch it grow. Bloody chicken shits will not set foot on land but will obliterate Iran from the sea and sky.

I see BC brought in QB Austin Apodaca, a Bomber TC cut from 2017 who looked fairly promising. Also looks like they lost Ty Long to the L.A. Chargers, so they'll be heading into camp with no experienced kickers unless they pick up the Riders recent table scraps. -
I want to see if he can ever get back in shape, some can, some can't. He's signed up for pro ball now so it does make a difference.

This is sweet but it's just sentimental drivel from a movie that actually perpetuates the myth that America at heart is a wonderful country populated with good and just people. Meanwhile in another galaxy, they're usually dropping bombs by the thousands on people living in mud huts in order to steal their resources and prop up the US economy. It's propagandi bereft of reality, but it's good for a woody or two, They didn't show the part where Carrey, is clubbed down, carted away and deported back to Canada!

Agreed, now is the precise time for a bipartisan committee to examine the function of the US government and reset guidelines so that the political discourse is not so polarizing and divisive, set new rules and follow them regardless of political stripe for the betterment of all. The way their political system is deteriorating, their government is almost certain to be non-functional within a few short years. Nobody can approve of the **** show it's become.

That may be one of the reasons for the electoral college system but not the main reason. The founding fathers who created the US constitution were men of privilege and power, they created the electoral college system to protect their position and ensure that a mass uprising such as the French Revolution could never gain control of the USA. Blathering on endlessly about democracy is bollocks, the system is set up for the wealthy to protect the privilege of the wealthy, as we see today, as has it always been. https://www.factcheck.org/2008/02/the-reason-for-the-electoral-college/ Here is the comical irony of their intent that missed the mark with Trump.. "As Alexander Hamilton writes in “The Federalist Papers,” the Constitution is designed to ensure “that the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.” The point of the Electoral College is to preserve “the sense of the people,” while at the same time ensuring that a president is chosen “by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice.”

H.C. position in the XFL looks to be fixed at $500,000 USD that's multiple times what he would have been earning as a CFL O.C. or H.C. -

Tommy Condell was waiting in the wings, so maybe it's not as bad as it looks.
