Probably the best contest of the weekend, at least either team could win.

It’s time to hand the ball to Kevin Glenn
Fatty Liver replied to Arnold_Palmer's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
MBT may eventually become available once injuries are sorted out in T.O., I can't see them giving up on Collaros or Franklin quickly for the price they paid to acquire them so MBT could become the odd man out. He may actually do well here, the experience he's gained in T.O. losing all those games is valuable. -
Arbuckle and Fajardo have played as plug and play QB's within traditional systems and have found some amount of success in doing so, both passing and rushing. Streveler has not achieved that yet this year, he has played QB like a RB that occasionally throws the ball, big difference. Not saying he can't achieve the transition but it will require an enormous leap for him to sit in the pocket and go through progressions. The Johnny Manziel football school is officially closed, scrambling QB's can't be counted on to win games consistently in this era.

He played till his 40th B.D. then retired, say what you like about Glenn but he is "a man with a plan". -
So this confirms it, they are desperate.

We should be happy if the offence manages to carry on 'as is" without skipping a beat, that would be close to an ideal solution as I can imagine. Some posters seem to think the team can just carry on winning without establishing a reasonable passing game, based on Streveler's great running ability plus the contributions of Harris, nothing could be easier to defend or be more unlikely to succeed. Without a serious passing threat the opposition D will end up crowding the box and just waiting for Stev. or Harris to step into it before pounding on them. Strev. is a beast, but even his youthful vitality is not going to be able to sustain the level of punishment his body would accumulate over an entire game if he doesn't have the patience to rely on the brief protection the pocket offers and feed his receivers.

That should have been a 25 yd. penalty direct intentional head shot to MBT.
-
He also mentioned Tom Foolery, can't find that player on either roster.
-
O'Shea may never tell, but you'd think Walters will be pretty quick to move him to the 6-game to reap the S.M.S savings if the injury is long-term.
-
Yah, that falls under Nichols. Do you think they hold onto first place under Streveler? Better pray BLM is out longer than Nichols, and Trevor Harris is the next to fall off the teeter-totter.

LeFevour in 2017.......? Yes.... -

Streveler had almost a full half against the RB's to show his stuff when Nichols went down, in the time allotted he did not move the team within Medlock's 50 yard range. The only way he got near the endzone was when Lankford fumbled the punt inside the RB's 10. I don't blame Streveler, it's LaPo who has turned him into a knockoff of Dan LeFevour. -

We might see a game-plan similar to the one LeFevour started and won against the Stamps in late 2017. Heavy on the run with a little bit of dink and dunk thrown in. -

Streveler has regressed since this was written, hard to imagine the QB we saw yesterday was the same guy that ripped apart the Als in his second game in the CFL last season. -
Early to rank but I would say Eli due to body type stays behind Spooner and Desjarlais with the latter having the brightest future of the three.
-
According to O'Shea Neufeld made an appearance at practice today although not a full participant, not likely he'd be ready for this weekend but perhaps the game after if all goes well. I think he's coming off surgery but have no evidence.

The Refs. cheated me on the BC / Hamilton game. 😛
-
Hell, the Bombers could use him for depth.
-
I dunno, but he doesn't seem to have the football I Q to put himself in the right spot at the right time, same problem Cauchy had. Speaking of Cauchy I see he has landed in Montreal with Henoc, who has arguably become the most dominant MLB in the league this year.

When was the last time they ran a two RB system? It's been so long, I can't recall. -
Unfortunately that was Carter, even if he would have taken off at full speed they might have had a chance.
-
BC defence has played well, they have a new MLB but I don't know who he is as Black has not once mentioned his name.
-
Que up the next round of in-game interviews, I bet they talk to Ernie Pitt's son.
-
Carter invisible.

Chungh looks chunkier than last season, he must have put on at least 20 lbs.
