  1. Walters did not directly say they would allow or deny LaPo permission in his recent press-conference but he definitely mentioned the timing being a concern. Jump to the 10:20 mark of this video. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/01/16/kyle-walters-offseason-update/
  2. The thought of the Bombers denying them an interview with LaPo is already giving me a woody.
  3. I wish all the DB's were that size!
  4. Jones seems to have very good mobility, could be a replacement for JSK if they can't re-sign him.
  5. Nice try but Jones was not hired by the Browns organization but his buddy Freddy Kitchens who was hired as the Browns H.C. on Jan. 12th, it may not have been a sure thing that Kitchens would get the job but chances are he had discussions with Jones about the matter prior to that date. If there was any chance of leaving Jones should have rightfully delayed signing his contract extension and those of his coordinators until the door was officially closed. This did not come out of the blue as many Rider supporters are claiming.
  6. That should kill any interest LaPo may have had in the job.
  7. Butler is listed on the CFL F.A. list and so is Durant. https://www.cfl.ca/fa19/#TORFA
  8. I think he chooses retirement rather than trying to catch on with another team, it was a similar situation last year if I recall correctly. He's already involved in a career as a Certified Financial Planner in Pittsburgh. http://hbkswealth.com/staff/ian-wild/
  9. Same goes for Ernest Jackson, SJ Green or any other receiver that peaked 3 years ago.
  10. I think he was referring to Simonise, hints are "very fast" and "give him the playing time".
  11. Hopefully after last season's Bowman and Durant debacles, Walters reevaluates his pursuit of older F.A.'s and concentrates on retaining his own players first. At this point I'd much rather see them bring in new talent at places of need rather than rely on paying hefty salaries for established league veterans. Such is the case that the economics of re-signing Bighill, Chungh, Goosen, Bryant, etc. must be balanced out with a flow of new cheaper talent. Time to make the scouts earn their pay-cheques and not rely on F.A. to fix all inadequacies.
  12. Bombers aren't standing in his way but his wife is currently standing between Paul and his cell phone with a bat in hand.
  13. That is literally the worst movie trailer I've ever seen in my life, effective though, I know one movie I'm not watching.
  14. He's got to feel good about his chance of winning a G.C. this year, especially if the Stamps lose BLM. If he wants the Riders H.C. job it will be there waiting for him next year.
  15. Would they not be able to shed some of the lower rank coaches?
  16. I don't follow, how does the new coaching cap come into play? Jones leaving frees up a lot of money to hire replacement coaches.
  17. Hoping for a trifecta today, Bighill signing, Jones leaving and BLM signing an NFL contract.
  18. The man has no shame, he slinks out of town leaving the team without a QB, screwing Paul Jones and sending his buddy McAdoo to the unemployment line for evermore.
  19. Yah maybe but who's left on the market for H.C.? Maybe they'll come after LaPo hard and make him an offer he can't refuse and the Bombers can't come close to matching.
  20. Oh what a wonderful day this has become! 😊
  21. Jones is leaving! Cleveland bound, rumour has it he has been signed in a D. capacity. CFL News‏ @CFL_News2m2 minutes agoBREAKING:Sources say #Riders Head Coach Chris Jones has interviewed today with the Cleveland Browns & they are hiring him in a defensive capacity. Details to come. Jones had an NFL out clause in his #CFL contract.
  22. Some extremely talented border jumpers as well.
