  1. I can't see why Nichols won't come in and lead the team to at least another 10 win season next year, making that decision all the more difficult. I'm not sure Streveller's current playing style is sustainable, not since early Reilly have we seen a QB that runs so recklessly and we've witnessed the transition Reilly had to make to his game in order to stay healthy.
  2. Here's the story. https://www.cfl.ca/2018/11/17/walking-miracle-claybrooks-opens-brush-death/
  3. Am I in the right thread???.... no I don't think so, I want to be somewhere over there in that other one over there somewhere...
  4. Ay Caramba....
  5. Bear Woods has been downgraded to "Marmot" Woods, not the dominant player he used to be.
  6. Right, two, three, four times. Jamaal, Jabar plays inside.
  7. Quick, sign Sergio Castillo before someone else does.....he's CLOSE ENOUGH!!!
  8. Right...I'd rather keep Corney.
  9. He was injured for the season and chose to recuperate at home, never heard there was any problem. He should be pursued, may potentially be the best Natl. DE in the league....come to think of it he may be the only Natl. DE in the league.
  10. If the Bombers can't retain Loffler an alternative is replacing him with Fenner or Fogg and using a combination of Corney and Jake Thomas to maintain the ratio. I'm not convinced Conteh, Morgan or Jones can fill Loffler's boots adequately.
  11. Hervey is not good at keeping secrets, somebody just needs to ask him the right question and he'll blurt out the answer before engaging his brain.
  12. I don't know if anyone has already posted this link to this Randy Ambrosie interview but his ideas of how to grow the CFL globally seems a bit far-fetched to me. https://tvo.org/video/programs/the-agenda-with-steve-paikin/redefining-a-league
  13. If Loffler follows through on F.A. he could get unreasonably expensive as a lot of teams could use him in their secondary for ratio purposes and may bid him up beyond what Walters sees as a reasonable price. He's been voted a CFL All-Star at Safety each of his 3 years so I can see him wanting to make some serious hay after playing out his rookie contract. He also has family ties to BC, I would guess it's 50/50 whether the Bombers can retain him.
  14. I think that ties into Nichols comfort level, when he is comfortable he gets more confident and sees the field better, mainly because he has more time to do so. Last Sunday he looked panicked, throwing the ball away once or twice is okay but he must have done it 5 or 6 times, which is unacceptable.
  15. Much like Dervin from the War Amps video I'm sure all of the Import receivers they've brought in can "run", "jump" and probably "catch the ball" when thrown their way. The problem is this position has been chronically underused in LaPo's game-plan for years and the role is reduced to a secondary support position when it needs to be a primary position of attack. Until Nichols starts distributing the ball more equitably and habitually targets this receiver 4-6 times per game it's very difficult to determine whether a receiver like Thomkins skill level is actually inadequate. From observation I would guess that he's got all the tools but is rarely called upon to use them.
  16. Sold, I'm willing to give gin a try even though from past experience it seemed to be a rather uninteresting fluid. Any gins you can recommend worthy of drinking straight up or over ice? Maybe a rhetorical question, but are you a swiller or a connoisseur?
  17. Video now up on the Bomber site. https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/11/21/i-shouldnt-be-here-the-andrew-harris-story-presented-by-sway-tsn/
  18. O-linemen tend to hang around longer than most players as long as they're fed well.
  19. I dunno, seems appropriate.
  20. If you listen to the post-game interviews of BLM and Dickenson on the Stamps. website they make it clear they were very aware they were locked in a stalemate in the 2nd half and the only way to break through it was to attack aggressively and take some chances. It worked. I didn't see evidence of that realization coming from the Bomber sideline or any aggressive alteration to the game plan in a timely enough manner to make enough difference in the outcome.
  21. Watch the freakin' video, kudos to Nichols for stepping up on the podium and facing the press, it's pretty clear he was devastated and wanted no part of it. To pick apart his words and try to read meaning into them after a huge loss is absurd, he was colossally disappointed.
  22. I like the size and upside of Dominique Rhymes finishing off his second year with Ottawa, he might be an over-shadowed sleeper on that team and probably won't cost much as long as he doesn't stand out this Sunday. Young, big, good hands and adequately fast but not a blazer.
  23. Sounds like Dressler is interested in another year if they want him, can't see O'Shea saying no. Same goes for Medlock.
  24. I'm not looking at the O. to accomplish more than they usually do in a well played game but in what the D. can do to prevent BLM free access to the endzone whenever he wants as he did in the first matchup. It's imperative they play a very good game and do not give up numerous explosion plays to the Stamps, it all comes down to pressure and coverage, the O will take care of it's self.
