Sherritt comes over the top and nails Franklin directly in the head with his helmet dropping him. How can they ignore those head-shots? -
The O-line did not solidify until they inserted Bond at LG and Hardrick at RT which coincided with Nichols taking over from Willy. Before his major injuries Willy was pretty much fearless. Go back and watch his early performances in B+G.

CTE found in brain of patient with no history of concussion

This could be the very strand the NFL uses to build their defence upon to fend off player lawsuits. -
That has not been verified yet, he may have tried to cross the highway in front of the bus and blew a shift stranding him across the road so it very well could come down to a lack of training and driving experience. Either way it was a tragic accident with no intent. Here is the definition of criminal negligence from Wikipedia. To constitute a crime, there must be an actus reus (Latin for "guilty act") accompanied by the mens rea (see concurrence). Negligence shows the least level of culpability, intention being the most serious, and recklessness being of intermediate seriousness, overlapping with gross negligence. The distinction between recklessness and criminal negligence lies in the presence or absence of foresight as to the prohibited consequences. Recklessness is usually described as a "malfeasance" where the defendant knowingly exposes another to the risk of injury. The fault lies in being willing to run the risk. But criminal negligence is a "misfeasance" or "nonfeasance" (see omission), where the fault lies in the failure to foresee and so allow otherwise avoidable dangers to manifest. In some cases this failure can rise to the level of willful blindness, where the individual intentionally avoids adverting to the reality of a situation. (In the United States, there may sometimes be a slightly different interpretation for willful blindness.) The degree of culpability is determined by applying a reasonable-person standard. Criminal negligence becomes "gross" when the failure to foresee involves a "wanton disregard for human life" (see the discussion in corporate manslaughter).

Improving QB performance always starts with improving the O-line play, the Als could roll through 30 different QB's and it would look much the same, I don't think Streveler would look any better in that situation. Once the O-line is solidified almost any competent QB can begin to go to work executing the plays in the play-book and move away from ad-libbing sandlot football. Willy is in a very bad spot, he requires very good O-line play to execute even moderately well and he's terrible at sandlot play.

The offence has to be built around the concept, they can't just switch to that style of D like flicking a switch. I've been waiting for a dog's age for the pendulum to swing back the other way and bring back a more balanced attack, maybe old June will prove it's a worthy pursuit. No more empty backfields! -
I don't understand why he hasn't brought back Vince Young, Jones gives up too easily.

I think that's going to make all the difference in the world, BC will not be continually running max. protection and Jennings is nowhere near as efficient as Masoli. June Jones should be congratulated, he's brought back an outdated offensive plan and is kicking butt with it.
