  1. I can't wait to see how Walken plays the accent, I don't think he'll even try. We got CROPS over here, big beautiful CROPS!!!
  2. O'Shea is a great coach when they're winning, frustrating when they're losing, first thing he needs to do is get his momentum detector fixed.
  3. Last game was a perfect example of a game they would have won last year just on Medlock's leg, this year they're incapable of moving the ball into his range frequently enough to take the easy pts.
  4. If Nichols regains his form I can see them splitting the Esks, and sweeping the Riders just because the remaining two games are at home. Good D should be able to shut down the Als. but never know which RB's team will show up so that one is hard to predict.
  5. Plus Washington completely blew the tackle, he had a clear shot at him around the 45 and he let the D.B. run through his arms and right over his body. I guess he's not getting recruited for S.T. anytime soon.
  6. Throwback to the LeFevour game late last year in Cgy. LaPo probably has that game plan hidden away in a drawer, just has to dust it off.
  7. Tell you what, when Sask. agrees to rotate the L.D.C. between the two cities as they used to, the Bombers will change the name of the Banjo Bowl. Till then, it stays the same.
  8. Don't know if this has been discussed previously, but Season 7 of "NFL Hard Knocks" features Mike Sherman prominently as the O.C. of the Dolphins. He's sure a lot tougher coach than he looks. CFL note, the season premier starts out with Derrick Dennis being the very first cut of T.C., just before the first practice. Messam also cut in episode 4, never even got a chance to play in a pre-season game.
  9. Wow, Brett Maher really is their starting F.G. kicker. How many CFL teams cut him, must be 3 or 4, he bounced around a lot, Medlock must be scratching his head.
  10. Yah but you watch Masoli flee the pocket, re-set and find receivers down field. Nichols does not even attempt to do that, once he's out of the pocket he's like a chicken on the run and usually just flings the ball out of bounds. Not saying Nichols is as athletic as Masoli, but right now he doesn't have any composure.
  11. I don't care much for Brandon Banks attitude but man he's become a heck of a receiver.
  12. Reilly is a football player first, QB second, he can run, break tackles and take hits or dish them out. Nichols doesn't have that physical presence and doesn't expect to do any of that stuff, he's more like a golf pro playing football.
  13. Redblacks' Hebert suspended two games TORONTO — Ottawa Redblacks linebacker Kyries Hebert will be watching from the sidelines again because of an illegal hit. The CFL announced on Monday that Hebert has been suspended for two-games for hitting Montreal Alouettes receiver B.J. Cunningham to the side of his head in a "reckless manner" in Friday's contest. The penalty was issued after CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie held a telephone hearing with Hebert and a representative of the league's Players' Association. It's the second time this season Hebert has been suspended following a one-game ban for a hit on Calgary Stampeders receiver DaVaris Daniels in Week 3. The veteran linebacker said at the time that he had no plan to change his style of play. "I've had over 800 career tackles and I've been in trouble five times maybe, so the ratio is not like it's an every play incident where I have a play that's illegal," said Hebert. "I want to clean it up, the most important thing is our team and for me to be available to them." Hebert also said after his Week 3 suspension that he knows he has little room for error. "They're (the league) going to keep a closer eye because I'm me." Montreal went on to beat Ottawa 21-11. Cunningham stayed in the game after the hit and Hebert was given a 15-yard penalty on the play for roughness. https://www.tsn.ca/redblacks-hebert-suspended-two-games-1.1166961
  14. The bye week following the B.B. will give them time to make changes and adjustments, if they fail to do so you know it's going to be a long-season.
  15. It all started with the last possession of the first half imo, the D gave them the ball in decent field position and they promptly gave up two sacks and punted the ball back to the Riders with under a minute remaining. If they could have scored on that drive it may have turned the tide.
  16. Only 3 sacks given up this game, for the most part I think he had decent protection, just couldn't find receivers when he needed to.
  17. It sure sounded like the fire has gone out.
  18. Agree something is really off with Nichols this year, he's not even hitting timing routes. Could be's. 1. Injured leg, still bothering him physically or mentally. 2. Too many new receivers, not enough chemistry. 3. Took his job for granted in the off-season slacked off on his training and did not prepare well enough to improve his performance.
  19. If Nichols is unable to move the ball at critical times in the Banjo Bowl, O'Shea will have no choice but to pull him to protect his crumbling confidence. If he lays an egg the crowd is primed to crucify him on the spot which could rattle the entire team and send this season into a death spiral.
  20. Disappointed, I was hoping for a limerick.
  21. Yes, but only if the temp. is below -35C.
  22. Just gives him more time to ponder his bleak future.
  23. Drew Willy now sitting 5th on the Als depth chart, he'll never claw his way back, once he comes off the 6-game he's gone.....
  24. It would be great if the CFL could schedule this game every L.D. weekend, establish a rivalry and build a tradition behind the game.
  25. I don't know what to think but this is scary.
