He attended mini-camp so I guess they liked what they saw enough to sign him.

**** that, I'm going back to bed.

Ian Hamilton @IanHamilton45 The Roughriders announce they have released RBs Wes Brown, Christian Ellison and I'Tavius Mathers, WRs Teldrick Morgan, Demond Powell and T.J. Thorpe and DB Tristan MacDonald-Doughlin. All were at mini-camp ... Thorpe was signed late last season after being released by Winnipeg.

CFLAA @CFL_Alumni Pierre Lavertu has announced his retirement from the CFL. He played his entire CFL career with the Calgary Stampeders. It was a pleasure to watch you play. All the best! Article by http://Stampeders.com Staff Photo courtesy of... https://www.cflaa.ca/lavertu-announces-retirement/ … Good Canadian player, gone too soon.

It amazes me that a person in this position continues to throw out Tweets, when the best defence is stone cold silence.

Truth! I'm a big fan of Mayday Air Crash Investigation, I watched an episode not too long ago were they lost the front window of a DC-10 and the pilot got sucked out flying 800 km/hr at 23,000 ft. only to catch the leading edge of the canopy with his lower legs which the First Officer grabbed hold of. He was beaten like a rag-doll and lost consciousness but miraculously survived an emergency landing draped backwards over the top of the canopy. Another one, an Aloha Airlines flight lost the skin covering the entire business class section shortly after take off from Maui but managed to turn around and land safely with only one soul lost.

That would be nice to see, Willy is on his last legs.

Striding confidently towards the season with a new to the CFL H.C. equipped with the following QB cadre, what could possibly go wrong??? Freeman, Josh Fugate, Garrett Holman, Justin Pipkin, Antonio Shafnisky, Nick Shiltz, Matthew Willy, Drew Cactus chooses Nick Shafnisky on name alone.
-
Hopefully that is one aspect of the D that they re-adjust this season, Walker and Alexander could have used more assistance from the safety position last year.
-
I thought he went out East last year after being cut by the Riders, Hamilton maybe but he is now sitting on the Lions roster.

Chad Rempel imbibes in a little trash talking. CFL News @CFL_News “This is an indication that, holistically, we’re trying to get everything right. “We wanted to make certain (the team is) stable and can produce sustainable success. He either operates on another "wave-length" or he takes his job too casually imo.
-
I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but one thing I thought of when I read the details of this accident was that B-trains like the one below should not be allowed on the road as they endanger everyone's safety. These rigs are prevalent in Sask. and I've had units this big pass me at 120 km/h on the Trans-Canada crossing Sask. Driver may have temporarily forgotten the length of his load when he attempted to cross the road in front of the bus or he may have just blown the stop sign as has been previously suggested. The length allowed has been pushed to 90 ft. (27.5 M) and stopping distance must be absolutely ridiculous.

My god what a sordid affair, with all the litigation Sherman pursued I'm not surprised somebody eventually put an end to him. The other side of Barry Sherman Barry and Honey Sherman were beloved philanthropists. But he lived amid feuding family members, endless lawsuits and claims of corporate espionage. What really happened before their tragic deaths. http://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/barry-honey-sherman-murders/

The Expos very first star, I had a Rusty Staub ball cap.
-
Seems appropriate.
-
Exactly, once the receiver has the ball in his hands he should be fair game.
-
Plus playoff money, Kavis would have to go over $200,000 to pay Henoc more than Walters and even then the difference would not be substantial.
-
Strictly from a PR standpoint, no need for Walters to justify his actions and to throw in this reference just added fuel to the fire, painting Muamba as the bad guy for asking for so much.
-
I'm not saying Walters lied, he took a simple salary request and put it in context with A.H. to justify his position, which is a questionable tactic imo. I'm sure Henoc could care less what Harris is earning as long as he gets paid the amount he thinks he is worth.
-
There is no evidence Muamba made that demand, Walters chose to insert it into his presser as a reference and as a justification for negotiation breakdown.
-
point taken, I intended to say that the additions of Demski and LaFrance make Flanders extremely expendable, especially if they plan to field two Natl. receivers. As good as he is, there is no logical which-way to get Flanders on the field.
-
That's very sad, he was one of Canada's very best stand-up comedians in his time. I saw a sad documentary on him a few years ago were he spoke about his bi-polar disorder and having to move back to Canada from L.A. in order to help pay for treatment for hepatitis C and a liver transplant which probably contributed to his demise.
-
I don't think Andrew Scheer is much of a surfer, so he'll probably drown. He likes to play "dress up" too but he's not as committed.
-
I suspect the LaFrance signing was not exactly planned for and may have come more from the urging of Andrew Harris than need. What his signing does is make Flanders ultimately expendable, cutting his modest salary plus Wild's, who is close to being redundant backing JSK might be two moves they could make to afford Muamba, instead of dropping a key contributor like Okpalaugo. Agreed that these may not be "classy"or popular moves but football is a ruthless business and sentimentality has no place in the heart of a good G.M.
