  1. This is correct, thus it's rather cruel to release a player late in the season but if they are a vet. they've already been paid out anyways.
  2. If Dressler retires in the off-season the opportunity arises again, I don't expect to see Thorpe return but it's not difficult to find a player in that style and plug him in. It might even be a good fit for a Natl. like Demski or Shaq Murray–Lawrence if available.
  3. Givens was interviewed yesterday, that's a sure sign he'll be in the lineup. My bet is he replaces Washington.
  4. "Saints promote Daniel Lasco; cut Adam Bighill, Bryce Harris" http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2017/10/saints_promote_daniel_lasco_cu.html Not sure this means much as the Saints have shuffled Bighill between the PR and the roster a few times this season.
  5. So it finally comes down to money and whether it's worth it for him to continue on with his football career. If he's hinting that he would rather play closer to home it might be smart to trade his rights and get what they can now, rather than lose him to F.A. at the first opportunity.
  6. More than 2 touches a season would be nice for the FB but they will probably use Normand extensively in the last game against CGY to pump us up for next season!
  7. First time I can ever remember that they haven't had a RB on the PR or a Natl. backup ready to go in case of injury to the starting or secondary RB. When Thorpe left they needed to bring someone else in to fill his space.
  8. Fact is Hurl was a F.A. signing this off-season and they waited until the last minute to sign him, so I don't think he was supposed to be slotted as the starting MLB. I honestly can't think of a player that would fit Richie Hall's MLB position perfectly, it's difficult to find a player with the strength to wrestle O-linemen and still have the speed and agility to cover receivers coming out of the backfield. It was a waste of Bass's talent last season to use him in that that role as well.
  9. Yes, but I believe he played SAM not WIL.
  10. I'm actually surprised how developed India is but I guess 1.3 billion people with a light or two each will do that.
  11. I should have used meaningless instead.
  12. It's an embarrassing list of players and an embarrassing idea to begin with.
  13. It's a safety issue, obviously Harris likes to wear his helmet loose. A few years back you never saw players losing their helmets, now it happens every game. Personally I think the player that loses his helmet should be penalized for not tightening it properly.
  14. BC needs a better O-line badly.
  15. Poop was an absolute monster yesterday, it didn't matter if he was doubled teamed he continued to fight on through.
  16. Sadly I think both Adams and Leggett are gone for the year and they may no longer have the horses to beat a team like Calgary. Hopefully Flanders, Dressler and Wild are back within the next game or two so that they have time to get in game shape and work out the needed adjustments to the receivers and the secondary.
  17. Hats off to O'Shea for using road-graders upfront blocking on short kick-offs, nobody on the "hands-team" left standing to challenge for the ball.
  18. JFG is the option when Harris is covered, without Flanders I figure he'll catch 6-7 balls and have a big game.
  19. They keep giving the Riders opportunities to run away with this game. Sooner or later they will.
  20. Jones is fishing, that contact had nothing to do with the play on the other side of the field, Glenn didn't even look that way.
  21. Sure do, decent LB too. 100% playmaker.
  22. On Monday's Coach's Show O'Shea stated that he discussed RTP with the officials on the sideline and they declared it to be incidental contact, so he didn't want to waste his challenge. Now it appears with the fine to Tracy they have changed their minds yet again.
  23. Oh right, it's early out this way!
