  1. Nevis could barely jog to the sideline, not sure he has the conditioning to play a whole game.
  2. Not if they're exhausted.
  3. Richie Hall might as well lop off his own head now and get it over with.
  4. It just doesn't make sense plugging in another Natl. into an area of weakness when they could bury an accomplished Natl. on the D-line and no one would ever notice.
  5. How many Natl. DB's are starting in the league, other than at Safety? I can't think of any, they're more scarce than Natl. RB's.
  6. Throwing an inexperienced Natl. into the secondary sounds like a very bad idea after the last couple of years. You think Walker looked bad, just wait.
  7. This is the guy I really want to see, glad they finally added him to the roster.
  8. I think they still need to sign another Natl. for the D., as they're currently down 3 from last year. The way it's looking they will need to keep one of Ekakitie or Corney on the field at all times to maintain the ratio, if one goes down they're hooped and would have to plug a Natl. into the secondary. Thomas, Steele or Waud should not cost much and would add solid depth.
  9. Good for JFG, glad he can continue his football career, clutch player.
  10. The "pipe-line" in action.
  11. Correct, and they left Drew Willy out twisting in the wind.
  12. I agree rotating 7 is better than dressing 6 D-lineman, hopefully one of the Import DE's they bring into camp can impress enough to make the roster. Natl. DT's are a bargain compared to DE's (excluding Laurent), they can take the $200,000 they save on Westerman and put it toward signing Thomas, Steele or Waud to fill out the lineup.
  13. Perhaps, but nothing is more bitter than an "Addison Richards pill".
  14. All the Als need to do is fire the moron in charge and they could begin a rebuild, delaying the inevitable just damages the CFL brand further in Montreal.
  15. I thought Bowman retired last year? Good player but this is a pretty obvious position that Kavis could have used an infusion of younger blood. I will be literally amazed if Reed is still the Als GM by game 6.
  16. Now that would be hilarious.
  17. I haven't been following Jake (or anyone else) on Twitter, is he disgruntled?
  18. Just means they will have to find a replacement that will probably cost them more $$, unless Ekakitie can handle the rotation by himself.
  19. He has to be the longest serving Bomber with Denmark now gone, he's been around since 2012.
  20. I find it hard to believe Jake will end up anywhere else, he's a good fit and he doesn't cost much.
  21. Just my opinion but old blue dogs with glaucoma taste better than KFC.
  22. I loved how LeFevour ran 3rd down gambles last year, in that he wasn't just plunging he was looking for holes to exploit and he always found them. Durant used to be able to do that but I haven't seen much of it in the last 3-4 years. Eliminate Bond from the equation and 3rd down gambles may actually become "3rd down gambles".
  23. I don't recall seeing Poop and Nevis on the field together very often, it was usually one or the other but at least it was nice to finally have both of them dressing for games consistently towards the end of the year. I think the plan going into last year was to rotate the DT positions between Nevis, Ekakite and Thomas leaving the MLB position open to Knox or another Import. After the emergence of Poop in TC they quickly changed their minds and reverted to plugging Hurl in at MLB, hoping the heavy horses at DT could help clog up the middle and shut down the running game. I think that part of the plan worked reasonably well or at least better than it did in 2016 when Shologan and Cummings were playing those positions.
  24. Eddie Steele would probably be an upgrade over Thomas at DT and would be cheaper than Evans.
  25. Dave Campbell @Dave_CHED #Eskimos GM Brock Sunderland says he has had extensive conversations with pending free-agent LB Adam Konar. Mentioned he has some Canadian depth behind Konar. Could also flip the WIL LB to an American spot with Korey Jones or Terrance Bullitt. #CFL Dave Campbell @Dave_CHED Replying to @Dave_CHED Reading between the lines, Konar likely hits free-agency on Tuesday. Not sure he's coming back. #Eskimos #CFL
