Just wondering when Labatte hurt his hand why the refs. allowed them to take 3 minutes to get him off the field? I can see TSN reviewing these unnecessary delays as being detrimental to their broadcast.

Especially for the ones that have to stay. -
What da hell is going on? This thread has somehow devolved into bedtime stories as told by Norm MacDonald.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to see Flanders occasionally lining up there either. Short patterns and YAC are a big part of LaPo's game plan, no reason Flanders and Harris can't fill this role in second and long situations.

Kevin has an enormous chip on his shoulder that he's been carrying around for16 years. If he ever wins a G.C. the first thing he's going to do is point his finger at the camera and say " F.U. ALL!!!" -

I've also seen Corney line up inside but I don't believe either of those guys is doing what Nevis does. Logically Jake and Nevis are rotating and the other 3 DE's are freelancing. -

4 DE's+2 DT's, I don't get it. Who's rotating with Nevis? -
Can't bother with Coombs, they have to reserve a spot for Demski coming home.

Walker is still out so good chance Roc will be rotating. If you read between the lines of O'Shea's canny riddles, we can also expect to be "Poopless" in Regina. -
Sask. pretty much gave Ricky Collins away, so I don't think there is much reason for concern that a team would swipe Thorpe off the PR. Imp. receivers are not in short supply.
-
Honestly more concerned that Walker won't be ready to go and that Poop may sit out again.

Looks like Thorpe might be heading to the PR. https://www.cfl.ca/transactions/ Active WPG ADD FROM INJURED INT Weston DRESSLER (WR) North Dakota ? If Flanders could return kickoffs, punts or backup all receiver positions better than Lankford, he would have been in there doing it right out of TC. I'm all for keeping Flanders in the game for the extra dimension he adds but the switch out of Dressler with Thorpe is a far easier solution. Thorpe is a rookie with a promising future but his performance in Mtl. was less than stellar, it's not going to damage him or the offence to have him step back and learn the game from Dressler. I don't know where people get the idea that Lankford is a bad receiver, he plays the wide-out and runs deep patterns which are not targeted frequently in LaPo's playbook. Does it make Lankford a bad receiver if Nichols only gambles with the deep ball 2-3 times a game?

Please don't use the word logical in your post, it hurts my brain.

It's up to LaPo to take full advantage of the two RB's skill sets as he did in Edm. 3-4 touches a game is not enough to get a RB going, he has to double that to be effective, rewards are reaped later in the game from a tired out D.
-
Lankford also prevented a TD by chasing down the Als returner, which is a play O'Shea tends to take note of.
-
I thought this was a closed practice? In retrospect I guess it's pretty hard to keep a ghost out.

Yep, this stuff goes on all the time down there but it rarely gets reported by the media. -
3 stars + HH Heart stopping OT edition

I don't think that's that the same as the "coach's challenge" though, with the yellow flags and all. They may have been using video replay to confirm TD's and turn-overs and a coach could call for a measurement but I think that is as far as it went. -

There were definitely no coach's challenges back in 2007, the rule was introduced in 2015. -
With LeFevour, Harris and Flanders in the backfield they should be very good at two pt. conversions.
-
A Rider blowout could only occur if the Bomber offence fell apart completely and started giving the ball away, frankly I don't see it. I actually hope the Bombers do not build up a 2 TD lead in the first half as the wheels inevitably fall off in those situations and they lose momentum far too frequently. Keep it close, keep focused and they should sneak out of town with two points.

If the Bombers can stay on track they should be able nail down second place while BC and Esks. fall by the wayside and scrap with the Riders for 3rd and 4th.
