Sure, and what happens to the team when they run out of money, hold a telethon and beg? For owner's like Braley and Wetenhall owning a CFL franchise is not a good investment of their funds as they they could easily create better returns elsewhere and are probably losing money running these teams in the current market. They like football and they like owning CFL teams and supporting the league and their communities, don't take their generosity for granted as it is currently essential to the stability of the league.

Nightmare scenario. If Bond is not ready to go Neufeld will be facing off against Sewell frequently on Sun., if he goes down they have to bring in Couture to fill his boots and Almondo is going to eat him like Christmas dinner. With Nichols less than 100% this could be fatal to post-season plans, it might be wise to dress Foketi as a backup for this game and flip Hardrick to LG if need be, sacrificing Washington for Coates or JFG. In the end unless there is another possibility only two of Bond, Nevis or Poop is likely to dress. Why they couldn't sit Knox.... I DON'T KNOW.

Wetenhall literally owns the ball and without him the CFL has no team in Quebec, it's his folly and he can do whatever he sees fit. The CFL has other problems that are more pressing, if you want to dictate how the Als. are run, step up with your own $$ and buy him out.

Rushing 3 sure didn't work well for the Riders as the Edm. O-line is huge and fairly good at protection one on one. Bombers had 0 sacks on Reilly the first game and only 2 the second and they still beat him, having Wild back in the lineup should certainly help add pressure.

The last Bomber victory against the Esks. was an impressive performance seeing as a lot of their injured players had returned, D shut down Reilly in the first half completely and held him to 31/46 on the night. O responded each time the Esks. scored in the second half and Chris Randle sealed the victory with a timely pick off. Edm. has had trouble containing the Harris/Flanders combo. this season so hopefully that trend continues.

Win the G.C. this year or not, it appears the team has pulled itself up to the next level and can consistently post 12 win seasons and play competitive, entertaining football against any team in the league. If they can repeat that performance next season and make it three in a row in the top echelon I'll be satisfied with their progress. The playoffs often come down to a crap shoot of weather conditions, injuries and teams getting hot at the right time, but as long as they're in the mix every year, you can't ask for much more. Any one of Wpg., Edm. Cgy or T.O. has a reasonable chance to win the G.C. this year if they are capable of playing their best.
