  1. Cripes, he hasn't changed that much!
  2. Did not know that, thanks.
  3. I have a feeling with his lineage Jeffcoat will ask for his release at the end of the season to pursue NFL opportunities, so the Bombers better hedge their bets and keep Okie on standby.
  4. Bombers pulling out of tailspin evident from past two Hamilton trips http://3downnation.com/2017/08/14/what-a-difference-a-year-makes-for-winnipeg/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+JustinDunk3downnation+(3+Down+Nation-Justin+Dunk+)
  5. In a nutshell that's why it's more difficult to field a largely Natl. O-line these days, when you need a good replacement piece you simply can't find one. A largely Import O-line is much easier to replenish and even upgrade mid-season as the US has an endless reserve. Sask. pilfered Wally's reserve Natl. O-linemen and he's got nothing left in his barrel to develop, thus he tried to steal Spooner.
  6. Give it a rest, you don't like em, don't read em.
  7. BC plays the Stamps next weekend so the Bombers should be able to hold on to 3rd even if they lose to the Esks.
  8. Lankford is a better returner than Rainey this season, who'da thunk it.
  9. Sure hope the Bombers have developed the work ethic not to put up these kinds of performances anymore, awful.
  10. I believe Lulay has sore ribs, no sense doing more damage in this game, they'll need him later.
  11. I thought Jennings was fairly mobile, he's not even thinking about tucking the ball and running.
  12. You just might be right, hard to believe this is the same guy that beat the Bombers in the WSF.
  13. It'll be all the more gratifying when the Lions roar back and crush the Riders greasy hearts......and if they don't, all the better for the Bombers.
  14. Good to see the Lion's weakness so easily exposed, no question the Bombers can beat this team behind Jennings.
  15. Yank Wally, yank. Lulay will stop this quickly.
  16. Nichols isn't made of sugar but Medlock might be, I wish he would just trot off the field to the sidelines on some of those long returns instead of waving at the returner as he blows by. Sooner or later some smart-ass ST player (like O'Shea) will realize his value to the team, line him up and truck him good, penalty be damned.
  17. Randle was also guilty of loitering without intent. Edit: Randle eliminated himself from the play by wandering out of bounds.
  18. I believe Medlock also kicked 6 FG's in the win in Edmonton last year, so if that's what they need to do to win the game, I'm all for it.
  19. If you didn't notice Hurl, you weren't paying enough attention, he was everywhere he needed to be. I finally understand why O'Shea loves this guy so much, he plays to the absolute max. of his abilities on every play even if the goal is not always achieved, can't ask more from a person than max. level of effort.
  20. Not sure anyone is saying that, Thomas is a consistently solid if not spectacular veteran performer. It would be interesting if he ever tested F.A. as I suspect he is under paid for what he contributes, he deserves some Shologan money.
  21. I see trap games in another way, playing a poor opponent can delude a team into thinking they are better than they are, as the Riders discovered when they beat the TiCats then promptly got mauled by the Stamps. I believe the Bombers should beat a decimated Esks. squad easily if they play a solid game but the offence needs to be better than it was at consistently reaching the first down marker in order to sustain drives. Nichols has to be able to find receivers in the 10-15 yard range instead of the 4-6 yards he has been relying on and expecting miraculous YAC performances. The second point is the D-line had tremendous success last night against a pitiful Cat O-line pressuring Collaros on almost every play which in turn made the pass defence look very good. I think this was a temporary illusion and Reilly will again expose the soft spots in Richie Hall's pass D and weak LB group so they have to be aware that is still an ongoing problem to be dealt with and improved upon. The good news they won. The bad news despite solid performances, Jake Thomas, Trent Corney and Sam Hurl have not actually morphed into All-Star quality players in one night, they just had good games against a weak opponent.
  22. So where is the further explanation of Johnson's release? Stupid media let O'Shea escape the pocket without comment again. Hopefully Bob will sack him on the pre-game show.
  23. Initially I thought the same but re-watching the RB game I think Thomas is benefiting mostly from Poop's tailwind, not from Nevis. As far as I could tell Nevis is getting no more attention than Poop and he is producing poorer results, often left stranded on the outside looking in. He just does not look very athletic and has little mobility which was not the case when he was in Hamilton. It may not be entirely his fault as I mentioned they may have brought him in to play nose-guard ala Ted Laurent and with the discovery of Poop that plan went into the dustbin.
