  1. Marshal is a good running back, the Bombers didn't cut him, he left for the NFL.
  2. Zylstra. looks gritty and not too skinny.
  3. It's going to get ugly little doubt about that, with or without Jones it's a long hill to climb.
  4. You might want to save that refrain for game 6 onward....
  5. The Als beat the Bombers game #1 last year. If Glenn wasn't the QB, who was?
  6. Sounds like Henoc didn't take his training seriously this off-season. There was a little too much “middle” on Saskatchewan Roughriders middle linebacker Henoc Muamba. Muamba, the Riders’ starting middle linebacker and linchpin of the defence, gained 14 pounds during the CFL off-season. Chris Jones, the Riders’ head coach and general manager, wasn’t happy that a heavier Muamba arrived at training camp. Muamba addressed the extra weight during the Riders’ three-week training camp and had dropped 11 pounds entering Thursday’s regular-season opener against the host Montreal Alouettes. “I’m a pro and if I get asked to do certain things, I can handle it,’’ Muamba said. “I’m at the point in my career and in my life where I know my body. I know what kind of things to eat if I need to gain weight and what I need to do if I need to lose weight. I made the adjustments and I feel comfortable.’’ http://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/muamba-addresses-weight-issues-with-riders?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+leaderpost%2FiuqW+(Regina+Leader-Post)
  7. One reason he might not want to retire just yet is giving up a job that pays $400,000+ per season for the salary and excitement of a Frito-Lay delivery driver.
  8. The coconut tree is almost bare from shaking, what are you hoping to drop?
  9. I don't mind JFG getting a full season as a starter, he's paid his dues and he's been a good soldier.
  10. Ed Tait @EdTaitWFC The Alouettes have signed former #Bombers QB Drew Willy
  11. Somethings changed in Hamilton and it's hard to pin-point exactly what it is but it could be $$ related. 3-4 years ago they had a wealth of Natl. and All-Star talent lined up to play on both their O and D lines and they were snagging prime F.A.'s. The last two seasons it looks like they've been shopping in the bargain basement for left-over meat products.
  12. Well maybe.....but that might be considered a wildly optimistic prediction of the outcome. On many of those passes Ray threw up, the poor Hammy DB's had no earthly possibility of preventing their completion. When a receiver like S.J. Green goes up 10 ft. in the air to bring down balls with one hand that you can not even touch, it's fair to say it's going to be an extra-long workday. The Bombers best strategy is to instill a fear of Loffler breaking their rib cage mid-flight if they go vertical.
  13. He's been the S.T. coordinator in Hamilton since 2013 and has done a decent job.
  14. I don't think Ray or Collaros are going to survive the year, every time Ray gets hit you can't be sure he's getting back up and Collaros better practice the "Drew Willy throw away" as he's going to need it a lot.
  15. Thank your lucky stars you don't have to put up with the "Paddy Power" and "Bet 365" commercials on the streaming sites, the British commercials are far worse.
  16. My neighbour inherited his parents house on a 1/2 acre lot in Mission that was purchased in 1956 for $24,000. Today it worth aprox. $3.5 million.
  17. Very true, if their stadium was located somewhere on the outskirts like Abbotsford they could substantially increase attendance by attracting families and retired people who want nothing to do with going downtown, especially on a week night. The CFL needs to focus on their target market and accept that they are not hip with either the corporate crowd or the urbanites who live in the downtown core of the larger cities. Same holds true for the Argos situation.
  18. I don't disagree, the officials are opening themselves up to a whirlwind of criticism if they won't decide between right and wrong when the video evidence can be used to "quickly" determine the correct call. How will a Coach's Challenge be handled? "Well it looks like you were right Coach...but not right enough to overturn the incorrect call of the official." Too much gray area, they should get rid of the Coach's Challenge and self-police. What they needed to do was get out front and clearly explain their policy before the season began to coaches, fans and especially the broadcaster so they wouldn't break down video to the micro-second looking for these "gotcha" moments that inflame everyone. First weekend down and they're already in damage control mode.
  19. Sleepy Waters is on their I.R. so as soon as he's healthy, Ty Long gonna be Long gone.
  20. What they actually said is that they will only use the command center to overturn egregious calls, if it is a close call (as the two disputed calls were this weekend) they are going to stick with the original call on the field. This isn't going to appease anyone but it appears they are attempting to keep the officiating in the hands of the on-field officials as they see it at game speed.
  21. LOL. Did you post twice intentionally? I think I know where your son got his A.D.D. gene from!
  22. Yep, Durant blew that throw.
  23. If that is the case, they need to state on the field immediately, that the replay was "inconclusive" and the original call stands.
