  1. I thought I read that the Als released Devon Bailey but I can't find mention of that anywhere on the Als site.
  2. Thanks, never met a Dutchman I couldn't trust. I'll give it a whirl.
  3. Hmmm....I've got a US credit card. What the hell is a VPN?
  4. Except, he had a hip issue that wasn't discovered until later. Just because he played in all games in College doesn't mean he was perfectly healthy. "Injuries were the story of his first pro campaign after the Bombers selected Richards with the 11th overall draft pick. He only appeared in five games in 2015 and made just one catch. After suffering through hamstring and quadriceps injuries, it was hip surgery that ended his rookie season. “The quad tore and they went in there with an MRI and they noticed that the labrum in the hip was torn.” Richards said. “So decided to get that fixed up and it’s feeling good so far.” http://globalnews.ca/news/2741848/it-was-awful-winnipeg-blue-bombers-receiver-addison-richards-moves-on-after-disastrous-rookie-season/
  5. I don't believe he did make it though CIS without injury and as far as I can tell he was damaged goods when he was drafted. I thought one of the previous injury issues he had was addressed through surgery last season.
  6. Regarding Richards, I don't really buy the "injury prone tag" attributing it to bad luck or poor body conditioning but upon further research it looks like "injury prone" could be a genetic trait related to the production of collagen. The Genetics of Being Injury-Prone "Injury is a fact of life for most athletes, but some professionals—and some weekend warriors, for that matter—just seem more injury-prone than others. But what is it about their bodies that makes the bones, tendons, and ligaments so much more likely to tear or strain—bad luck, or just poor preparation? A growing body of research suggests another answer: that genetic makeup may play an important role in injury risk. A review article recently published in the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine emphasizes that research on the genetics of sports injuries “holds great potential for injury prevention for athletes at every level.” The authors, from Stanford University’s department of developmental biology and genetics, believe that genetic testing also gives athletes valuable information that might increase their competitive edge." " Within the field of sports-injury genetics, some studies have focused on variations in the genes that control the production of collagen, the main component of tendons and ligaments. Collagen proteins also form the backbone of tissues and bones, but in some people, structural differences in these proteins may leave the body’s structures weaker or unable to repair themselves properly after injury. In a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine in 2009, South African researchers found that specific variations of a collagen gene named COL1A1 were under-represented in a group of recreational athletes who had suffered traumatic ACL injuries. Those who had torn their ACL were four times as likely as the uninjured study subjects to have a blood relative who had suffered the same injury, suggesting that genetics are at least partially responsible for the strength of the ligament. 7. Stanford is a Natl. but he doesn't have a size advantage going for him at 6'-1" 190 lbs. but could be faster and a better route runner than Blaszko.
  8. I would rather they start Lankford early in the season to find out whether he's going to be an impact player or just another place-holder. He earned the nick-name "Klankford" in Sask. so his hands may be questionable and this is not a truth we want to discover going down the stretch. They cut a lot of good prospects to keep him on and as a walk-on he has a degree of desperation on his side, so put his feet to the fire and let's see if he can contribute, otherwise cut bait and keep searching for the next Manny. Washington looks like he has the potential to be a game breaker but as a rookie he will benefit from watching a few games from the sidelines first, plus he's going to pickup plenty of reps. soon enough so he'll have plenty of opportunity to show his stuff.
  9. I have no cable connection so I already stream every CFL game from multiple sports streaming sites but the reliability and quality is hit or miss. The "On Demand Access" is the feature I really want as you can watch game replays whenever you want. It's too bad they restricted access to game replays after 2015 as that was a good feature of their site.
  10. Sure enough. We're sorry but CFL Live: 2017 International Streaming content is not available in your region through this service. CFL Live: 2017 International Streaming Service is unavailable in the following areas: Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Latin America, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ireland, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, the Caribbean and the Pacific Rim (including Australia and New Zealand), Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa.)
  11. TORONTO — In partnership with Yare Media, the Canadian Football League (CFL) announced on Friday that an international livestream of the entire 2017 regular season will be made available. Fans in more than 130 territories outside of the TSN, RDS, ESPN and BT Sport footprint will be able to access this streaming service to follow regular season contests, playoff action, and the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw. http://intl.cfl.ca/packages.php This is exactly the kind of service I'd be more than happy to pay for, but is it available in Canada??? No probably not.
  12. Exactly, doesn't sound like a Mike O'Shea type player.
  13. Not a brilliant statement to make to start off his CFL career, he could quickly be tagged with the label of a locker room cancer.
  14. Problem is we don't really know how good Knox is in the position, he may be good against the run but poor in pass coverage.
  15. So...the Riders add 3 thus they should delete 3, correct? Don't see it, they're using their suspended list as a stash.
  16. Yes, quite obviously Jovon was the "missing piece". The Riders will be lighting it up shortly, count on it, I have it from good sources.
  17. I agree 100%, if they respect some of these "gentleman's agreements" they should implement them as rules. Perhaps it's the P.A. that prevents them from doing so, as they're not in the best interest of the players.
  18. He's been moved to their PR, so I would guess they probably won't touch him.
  19. I wonder if Cosby can be tried in Civil Court as O.J. was, where a judge decides the outcome.
  20. Never said that. My point is that if they had a sliver of an inkling a few months ago that there was a possibly of starting a Natl. at MLB this season, then it stands to reason that they probably should have considered bringing in more than one candidate in that category. After all, Sam Hurl is not quite as unique as Andrew Harris and should not win his job by default.
  21. Wowzers. Willy's downfall in the the last 12 months is almost staggering and something that will probably haunt him for the rest of his days. He came into TC last season with a hefty contract as the anointed starter of a team on the upswing, and one year later to the day he finds himself standing in the unemployment line. Just to think, all he really needed to do to change this story-line was find a way to work with the tools provided around him and win enough football games to make the playoffs.
  22. Jones had a golden opportunity to escape further ridicule, but no he craves more.
  23. I'm confused, do players going directly onto the 6-game get counted at this time?
  24. Stunning, even in the midst of last nights disaster he showed more potential then Bridge or Williams imo.
