  1. That's my bet, but I don't think he knows enough about the CFL if he thinks he will find a better opportunity elsewhere. He needs to spend a year on a PR to digest the game and develop as a pro, it could be he has other plans.
  2. The similarity is that they both have the physical tools of which Apodaca has better mobility. The difference is Brock had years to develop his game and Apodaca was given 2 weeks. Something about this doesn't sit right, considering there are no other QB's on their radar.
  3. Yah, I'm worried about consistency, he might look good for a couple of games and then disappear. If they are looking for a physical receiver to fill the last spot (which they should be) a lot of the current contenders drop away.
  4. Here is the link, it's a recorded show so timing does not matter. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290/cfl-60-june-12-2017-1.777314
  5. Didn't see it mentioned earlier but Stone the LB has been cut.
  6. Coach's Show on now. http://globalnews.ca/radio/cjob/player/?gref=cjob#/
  7. Right on cue. “He’s got an all-day motor. That’s one of the things that everybody really likes,” said Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea. “He’s smart and he’ll continue to learn the nuances of the CFL game. We think he can cover, he’s a physical guy, his physical stature (6-2, 195) is good. But I would say the No. 1 thing you know about him when you watch the film is he can run all day. He’s that type of guy that if he’s on the roster you’d think he’d play every special team and have the possibility to start, too, and that doesn’t come around very often. “You love guys with that kind of motor.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/06/12/training-camp-day-14-second-chance/
  8. O'Shea didn't mention that possibility in his interview today, it might come later but it's not on the agenda right now. None of the reporters seemed to think it was important to ask why Apodaca was cut. As for Frederick, sounds like he wasn't contributing to ST. Starting to pick up a buzz about Alexander.
  9. MOS interpretation. "Lower body, out for awhile."
  10. That's a good description of LeFevour, he's a handy-dandy spark plug on wheels but in the long-run his successes diminish quickly. The contrast in his game can be illustrated by his two TD passes against Sask.. The toss to Liggins was a thing of beauty, perfectly placed and caught in full stride. The pass to Lankford in the end-zone probably would have been intercepted if thrown against experienced defenders, as he threw it off his back foot into double coverage and put it up for grabs. With LeFevour you get the ying with the yang.
  11. That would cover a huge spectrum of forum contributors.
  12. He's "the ****" which is the polar opposite of "he's the sh*ts".
  13. From Walters answer it sounded more like his role is to supply the coaches with the personnel and step back, not argue about who gets to stay or go. Walters is focused on balancing the SMS which is probably something that O'Shea doesn't give a rat's ass about. Thus the head-butting.
  14. Sorry, I should have said I think Frederick was better than Fogg in coverage. Fogg made a lot of tackles but he also got burned quite often on coverage.
  15. Yeah but they don't usually do that with the first round of cuts.
  16. Damn cruel to cut Apodaca after 2 weeks unless he rejected the notion of sitting on the PR for a year.
  17. I don't think Carmichael is playing corner and I thought Frederick was better than Fogg at that position so hard to tell at this point. Lot's of unknown names still on the roster, so it's kind of a shock they couldn't find other DB's to cut. Brandon Alexander Sam Brown Chris Greenwood Robert Porter Matt Smalley Darnell Walker Brian Walker
  18. Interesting to hear Walters perspective in this interview, apparently he and O'Shea butt heads a lot of the time, but it sounds like it is more from a salary perspective as Walters let's O'Shea make the personnel decisions.

  20. The bullets will be flying in the West this year, if Richie's Hall's pass D can't hold them back, he may be riding the bubble at seasons end.
  21. The Round Table is scheduled for 11pm EST for some reason. Excellent game between the Stamps and the Esks. plenty of good QB's and receivers on both sides of the ball and Franklin looked fabulous. Anyone wanting to write off either team had better think twice, neither is going down without a fight.
  22. Speaking of kickers, where is old red beard playing now?
  23. The RB's, TiCats and Argos all use the same kicker pool, they're interchangeable.
  24. Wrong team, he missed the convert on behalf of Hamilton.
