  1. Who cares about Bennett now??? I want to see if Davis and Apodaca can take the next step up the ladder. The concept of QB progression in Wpg. has been lost in the wilderness for so many years now, I want to see if it still exists....kind of like Bigfoot. Hopefully Nichols is deadly this year and O'Shea can relax enough to give Davis some serious show-time.
  2. What is your take on ex-Ticats Gainey and Dyakowski?
  3. The fact that their best DB currently is Gainey, Dan Clark is still a starter and they just brought in Dyakowski to help out the OL tells me they're missing the playoffs this year.
  4. Yah, I think if they would have made some timely decisions on players from last years squad that have already been cut they could have moved Bennett off the PR and brought him back to compete at this year's TC. Hopefully Apodaca makes us forget all about Bennett shortly.
  5. File under "know thine enemy". Ian Hamilton @IanHamilton45 Bryan Bennett unofficially is 9-for-9 for 121 yards with two TDS in the Roughriders' mock game. 4:26 PM - 3 Jun 2017 Jamie Nye @jamienye Bryan Bennett was the best QB going 10/11 with 3 TDs. He did have one interception and another called off on illegal contact. 5:06 PM - 3 Jun 2017 Jamie Nye @jamienye VY was 6/10 by my count with 2 INTs and 2 time counts. A few completions were dump offs or swing passes. Not an impressive day. 5:10 PM - 3 Jun 2017 http://www.rodpedersen.com/ Bryan Bennett was the star of Saturday's Saskatchewan Roughriders annual Green & White scrimmage at SMF Field. The 25-year old quarterback from Tarzana, CA threw three touchdown passes in a fairly slick performance by the Riders. Bennett threw majors to Antwane Grant (15 yards), Naaman Roosevelt (25 yards) and Duron Carter (25 yards) on the day. There were 18 offensive series in all, with Kevin Glenn getting the first. He threw for first downs to Jenson Stoshak, Bakaria Grant and Duron Carter however a fumble by running back Cameron Marshall at the +37-yard line ended the drive. That was also the end of Glenn's afternoon. Vince Young quarterbacked the next two series, as part of his six drives on the day. His first possession was a 2-and-out and then he served up a deep interception to rookie Zavian Bingham on the second. In his subsequent drives, Young was sacked by Willie Jefferson forcing a punt, Tyler Crapigna missed on a 44-yard field goal attempt, Young was picked by defensive lineman Ese Mrabure, and he finished with a 2-and-out. Bryan Bennett was the pivot for five series, ending three with touchdown passes. Brandon Bridge got four possessions, including one which ended with a 13-yard touchdown strike to Mitch Picton.
  6. Butcher #XL.
  7. Bring Quincy home! Brett Tessler @TesslerSports The Dallas Cowboys are releasing WR Quincy McDuffie who was CFL's top kick returner last season. Door isn't closed for him re-signing there.
  8. Just another sign of a society in rapid decline.
  9. The agreement worked fairly well until Trump showed up and scared the **** out of them with his anti-Muslim rhetoric. I don't feel much sympathy for the border crossers as they were well aware that their visas had expired and they were living permanently in the US as illegals. Whether the reasoning behind that was to better themselves economically or if they actually faced a threat upon return to their home country would have to be determined on an individual basis. They know the rules of the game they're playing, so I don't see them as being innocent to the consequences of their actions. I'm more upset with the Americans for not dealing with their problems and allowing them to spill over the border. I don't think Trump is losing any sleep over the current situation though, this solution meets his objectives.
  10. GOP Congressman: God Will ‘Take Care Of’ Climate Change If It Exists You can rest easy now.
  11. Not that easy, Canada and the U.S. have an agreement in place and until that agreement is amended or renegotiated they have to abide by it's rules on both sides. From Wikipedia: The Canada–United States Safe Third Country Agreement, officially the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America for cooperation in the examination of refugee status claims from nationals of third countries,[1] is a treaty between the governments of Canada and the United States to better manage the flow of refugee claimants at the shared land border. Under the agreement persons seeking refugee status must make their claim in the first country they arrive in, either the United States or Canada, unless they qualify for an exception. For example, refugee claimants who are citizens of a country other than the United States that arrive from the United States at the Canada–United States land border can only pursue their refugee claims in Canada if they meet an exception under the Safe Third Country Agreement. The agreement was signed on December 5, 2002 in Washington, D.C. by Bertin Côté (Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Canada) and Arthur E. Dewey (Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration, United States Department of State). It entered into force on December 29, 2004.[1]
  12. Nope, that was Bear Woods.
  13. You forgot to mention that Buck was found wandering down Euclid Ave. last Feb. in search of his missing helmet.
  14. Trump can pay for it with the pesos he collects from Mexico.
  15. I'm all hiked out, predicting Bass will be an Eastern All-star, twasn't his fault.
  16. That's the thing, Kevin Glenn will look very competent at times and put up some nice numbers, but that's not the same as putting W's up on the board. Reality is he's not very good at doing that.
  17. It's a complicated issue, they are mostly likely illegally residing in the US with an expired work or travel visa thus they seek the border. These refugees know that if they apply through the proper channels it will be a lengthy process and they will most likely be rejected. Trump doesn't want this group, so he's quite happy if they flee in droves every time he rattles his sabre. The dilemma is that there really is no way at this time to turn them back under the "Safe Country Agreement" without first processing them and they know well how to "game" the system. If they come into the country undetected most of them are turning themselves in to the nearest RCMP detachment so that they are registered in "our system" and can slip under the tax-payer's umbrella. Unfortunately short of building the world's longest wall there is no simplistic solution at this time.
  18. Did Collins even make it to camp? I thought they cut him before it started.
  19. Both Sheppard and Mayo showed more, Jace Davis was given the opportunity to win the job but he dropped some easy balls at critical times.
  20. Take O'Shea's estimate and multiply it by 4.
  21. I know this was an issue a few years back as many Asian Canadian parents were using early sex identification to abort females. I don't know if this was ever resolved or if the media coverage just dropped off but hard to discriminate against a persons reasons for seeking an abortion as it is a personal decision.
  22. Tall skinny but has some wheels for a long-legger, worth a look.
  23. McManus described this well in a recent interview on TSN Radio, he said he looks for QB's that can pop back up and compete after gettng smashed in the mouth. Kevin Glenn just doesn't have that attribute, if he couldn't make it work with the Stamps, he won't make it work anywhere, he is easily intimidated.
  24. Since you asked. https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2015/11/06/muzzles-removed-for-federal-scientists-at-department-of-fisheries-and-oceans.html
