  1. You're lucky a giant space rock didn't fall out of the sky and smash you, it may have been a fitting end to a bad day.
  2. Just wondering how Russ Hobson got his video last week, angle and quality where very good so it must have been off a feed? I think I'll keep his link up during the game in case video gets posted during the game.
  3. Seems odd that only the Bombers and the Lions have made any cuts so far. I guess one perspective is that teams that are holding off don't want to influence the cuts of other teams by making certain players (ie. vets) available before the deadline. Looking at you Hufnagel.
  4. It's all we got man, it's all we got.
  5. I suspect you may have mistaken passive-aggressive "rubbing it in" for kindness.
  6. I thought LaPo actually won the last game before he was canned? It was inevitable either way...
  7. Burke didn't really want to be a H.C. in the first place, so I'm not sure you can put the blame squarely on his shoulders.
  8. LOL he spends most of the interview talking about himself.
  9. Reilly must have an injury concern, I can't see any other reason he wouldn't be playing. Good test for the Bombers to show how their pass D has improved and get after Franklin.
  10. Listen around 20:00, Bauming speaks to McManus about bringing in Apodaca. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290/cfl-60-may-29-2017-1.764721
  11. I would assume that McManus puts a fair bit of time and effort into grading and getting to know the QB prospects as he's the team expert and they bring in so few. Bell cut before camp and Apodaca lasted two weeks, the end results do not reflect positively on his judgement.
  12. ....and that can be fully determined in his first appearance with less than a full Q of playing time??? Danny Mac must be an idiot.
  13. Hate crimes against Muslims in Canada up 60%, StatsCan reports "The number of police-reported hate crimes against Muslims jumped by 60 per cent in 2015 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Canada. New data released Tuesday show there were 159 anti-Muslim incidents reported to police that year, up from 99 the year before. National Council of Canadian Muslims vice-chairman Khalid Elgazzar called 2015 a "difficult year" for Muslim Canadians, as two terrorist attacks in France inflamed anti-Muslim sentiment and former prime minister Stephen Harper made a woman's right to wear a veil at citizenship ceremonies a "central issue" of the election campaign. "The Canadian Muslim community bore the brunt of sinister political rhetoric surrounding the federal election which painted Muslims as terrorists or terrorist sympathizers as well as being anti-women," he said during a news conference on Parliament Hill. He stopped short of blaming the Conservative campaign for the rise in hate crimes, but said the campaign rhetoric was "a factor." Elgazzar said many victims of hate crimes do not report to police because they are fearful of further victimization or don't think police will do anything. He called on governments at all levels to boost funding for police investigations and data collection to better understand the scope of the problem." http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/hate-crimes-muslims-statscan-1.4158042
  14. That's my bet, but I don't think he knows enough about the CFL if he thinks he will find a better opportunity elsewhere. He needs to spend a year on a PR to digest the game and develop as a pro, it could be he has other plans.
  15. The similarity is that they both have the physical tools of which Apodaca has better mobility. The difference is Brock had years to develop his game and Apodaca was given 2 weeks. Something about this doesn't sit right, considering there are no other QB's on their radar.
  16. Yah, I'm worried about consistency, he might look good for a couple of games and then disappear. If they are looking for a physical receiver to fill the last spot (which they should be) a lot of the current contenders drop away.
  17. Here is the link, it's a recorded show so timing does not matter. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290/cfl-60-june-12-2017-1.777314
  18. Didn't see it mentioned earlier but Stone the LB has been cut.
  19. Coach's Show on now. http://globalnews.ca/radio/cjob/player/?gref=cjob#/
  20. Right on cue. “He’s got an all-day motor. That’s one of the things that everybody really likes,” said Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea. “He’s smart and he’ll continue to learn the nuances of the CFL game. We think he can cover, he’s a physical guy, his physical stature (6-2, 195) is good. But I would say the No. 1 thing you know about him when you watch the film is he can run all day. He’s that type of guy that if he’s on the roster you’d think he’d play every special team and have the possibility to start, too, and that doesn’t come around very often. “You love guys with that kind of motor.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/06/12/training-camp-day-14-second-chance/
  21. O'Shea didn't mention that possibility in his interview today, it might come later but it's not on the agenda right now. None of the reporters seemed to think it was important to ask why Apodaca was cut. As for Frederick, sounds like he wasn't contributing to ST. Starting to pick up a buzz about Alexander.
  22. MOS interpretation. "Lower body, out for awhile."
  23. That's a good description of LeFevour, he's a handy-dandy spark plug on wheels but in the long-run his successes diminish quickly. The contrast in his game can be illustrated by his two TD passes against Sask.. The toss to Liggins was a thing of beauty, perfectly placed and caught in full stride. The pass to Lankford in the end-zone probably would have been intercepted if thrown against experienced defenders, as he threw it off his back foot into double coverage and put it up for grabs. With LeFevour you get the ying with the yang.
  24. That would cover a huge spectrum of forum contributors.
