  1. Did Global buy out CJOB and the Corus Radio Network? Preparing for this afternoons live broadcast and this is the link that comes up for CJOB. http://globalnews.ca/radio/cjob/
  2. I think the competition is between Bennett and Davis at this point to see which one eventually morphs into a starter. Apodaca is still in kindergarten.
  3. I'm also biased, I really want to see how Corney, Butcher and Ekakitie work out on the D-Line. If they can't create pressure then okay, 3 imports gives them another path to pursue.
  4. Do you have any old socks kicking around???
  5. John Hodge was doing a podcast last year but haven't heard if he is continuing with it this year.
  6. Sounds more like the second pre-season game, hopefully the boy get at least a full Q.
  7. If TSN aquired the broadcast rights, there's a good chance they would just link to the TV feed as the Argos have recently, trends following economics as they do. They would still do their pre and post-game shows as they do now so it would be a pretty seamless transition.
  8. Should do, no reason to play LeFevour much.
  9. Playing 3 import D-lineman and 3 import O-lineman just doesn't seem like a sustainable approach, I'd rather play Thomas/Butcher/Ekakitie than roll with mediocrity in Hurl, who is a cut below Bass in performance. If they really want to keep "Poop" to backup Nevis, replace Scott who has been virtually invisible since his arrival.
  10. I question the protection offered by the Argos O-line, last year it was terrible.
  11. The more "entertainment news" that seeps into the news the dumber the populace grows. Thus a really dumb segment of a population could think that voting for a celebrity as their president is a really good idea.....just a theory.
  12. That's the spin cycle, a fact can not be approached in a straight line.
  13. It is to distract viewers attention away from the "real news".
  14. To propagate their mythology the US will go to great lengths to protect the position of president, no matter the ass the incumbent proves to be. Thus Nixon walked instead of going to jail and nothing will likely come of this investigation to harm Trump directly other than exposing him as a buffoon.
  15. It will be interesting to watch the Argos this year, Popp is in "shake and bake" mode and looks to be rebuilding the team with established CFL players. Much wiser route to add a few rookies to the mix of established vets. rather than a complete tear-down and rebuild with new unknown players in new positions that Jones has attempted imo. Time will tell.
  16. Generally copy image location and paste works but not always.
  17. 3DownNation‏ @3DownNation Stop complaining about the @CFLonTSN pre-season schedule says @JoshSmith_82. #CFL #CFLTC http://3downnation.com/2017/06/07/stop-complaining-tsns-pre-season-schedule/ … "Focus your attention on me."
  18. I could be wrong but I believe that was Nic Grigsby.
  19. One year ago the Bombers went into Edm. with 4 rooks plus Bruce Johnson in the backfield and came out victorious. The game that could have been a disaster turned the season around and started the run.
  20. Which QB was throwing the intercepts?
  21. Man that was great footage, always loved Creehan's enthusiasm.
  22. As for Justin Warden, I'm surprised they hung on to him this long as I can't recall ever seeing him involved in a play nor heard his name mentioned since he joined the club in 2015. He must have contributed something as he outlasted both Brendan Morgan and Teague Sherman.
  23. Certainly one of the better video presentations I've seen in awhile, good football too.
  24. I haven't read a word about Thomas Miles performance at MLB this camp, instead we get "human interest" stories like this. Miles uses voice away from gridiron You don't find many linebackers auditioning for the role of an extra in an opera. But Winnipeg Blue Bombers newcomer – and Winnipegger – Thomas Miles has been using his voice for something other than trash talking opponents during his spare time. “I'd like to sing in an opera eventually,” said Miles, a linebacker with the Blue Bombers who signed on March 6 after he was released by the Toronto Argonauts. “I've been an extra in operas. They call them supernumeries. I've been in four of them. It started when I was at U of M. They were looking for guys to be soldiers in the production of Aida. I thought it could be fun.” Miles didn't have a background in the performing arts, but his passion for them has grown immensely over the past few years. “This was my first introduction and the centennial concert sells out and it's a blast,” said Miles. “It's intense. You see the glints off the spectacles. It was cool though. In Aida, we had a stage built up, we were 20 feet in the air, marching around with shields and swords. It was a riot. “(Blue Bombers linebacker) Moe (Leggett) is doing voice lessons right now and I want to get into it too. I would love to be in the chorus at some point. That's the goal.” kwiebe@postmedia.com Twitter.com/WiebeSunSports
  25. I think he was referring to Bennett outplaying Young Vince.
