He derives his income from the Riders and he works for the team broadcaster, close enough.

Who knows, maybe Willy is one of these people that can't perform well under pressure with somebody looking over their shoulder waiting to take their job. It certainly would rattle the confidence of most people. The starting job was basically his until it wasn't, perhaps it was conveyed to him clearly prior to the season that Nichols would take over if he couldn't produce W's. Before Nichols showed up he only had to worry about beating out the likes of Brohm and Marve.

Yah, I don't get this bit either, Pedersen is literally putting his PR position in jeopardy with these repeated attacks on the league. Can't imagine Bob Irving ever doing something so classless. All that has to happen is for these attacks to garner the attention of TSN or a league sponsor that Rod is "damaging the product" and word will come down from on high for the Riders to sever all relations with the moron. On that day Rod will be the saddest little boy in Regina.

It was so spectacularly bad, it needs to be highlighted.

You forgot about the faked punt.

Official LDC GDT: Game Day, We All Play!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Willy and Harris screw up like this once already this season? I believe it was before the half but they let the clock expire trying to squeeze in an extra running play when they were already well within FG range. If that is the case the OC the QB and the RB need to try to remember not to repeat past mistakes. -

Yah, this has become a bit of a cycle in the last 2-3 years. Ray gets pulverized until he finally breaks and spends months recovering only to be injured shortly after he returns. Shame on Barker and Milanovich for not providing him with better protection when they've had years to build a solid team around him. -
It took O'Shea over two years to finally pull Willy from a game to change things up, he would need another two years to think about trying it again.

It worked a whole lot better when Owens and Durie were in their prime because of their YAC abilitiy. They haven't been able to replace either of those components imo. -

NWMP were there first before the railway, basically no population other than the local Indian tribes at the time in S. Alberta. Fort Whoop-Up is about as close as Western Canada ever got to the Wild West stuff and not surprisingly that was provoked by American whisky traders which the RCMP put the clamps on. The handful of outlaws that Western Canada had were usually American fugitives. Look at the old photos, few cowboy hats, mostly bowler hats. -

Not in Canada, they didn't. Sure farmers and ranchers probably had rifles but the NWMP didn't allow them to walk around with them just so they could shoot people when drunk. We were a British colony and governed as such, not an extension of the U.S. -

What does the image of guns have to do with Calgary? Pioneers wearing pistols on their hips never happened except maybe at the Stampede. Of course Edmonton probably never had an Eskimo population either... -

Bowman hasn't woken up yet so the Esks. may have a chance. From a Bomber perspective it's better if CGY wins which would focus the race for second on Wpg. and BC. -

Edmonton seems to have regressed to the 2014 version of themselves. Sadly not much of a contest. -
I believe in all sports 80% of the fan-base for any team knows little more about the actual team then what the MSM reports on, and simply goes by the win-loss record the club achieves and the product they see on the field. Within this group there is and will continue to be enormous discontent with Jones and his methods throughout Sask. and if this season plays out the way it's going, game attendance and merchandise sales will begin to take a hit once they move to their new stadium.
-
That could be be a repeat performance of the Kelly-LeFors saga.
-
just curious, which part of the field do you consider the red zone?
-
Hard to judge that play, I certainly didn't see it clearly and don't believe TSN took the time to show it from different angles. For people eager to throw away the video replay and challenges they will have to live with the officials original calls both good and bad.

Even if that call is reversed, the game is tied and likely headed for over-time. I think the Bombers odds of winning with Medlock vs. Crapinga are better than 50/50. -
You listened to Nichols comments but failed to mention that he also said that he's learned not to force the ball into dangerous spaces as he acknowledged he was doing last year which lead to multiple interceptions every game. As for Clarence he contributed by making a few clutch grabs at key times, can't expect 10 balls and 200 yards every game.
-
I don't think they actually made into the red zone much today, maybe once? Most stalls seemed to happen from 35 yards and out, thus Medlock's longish field goals. I don't have the stats. but I believe only one was a chip shot.

O'Shea's mistake to over-kick the coverage, Medlock should have punted 45-50 yards along the sidelines.
