  1. Big factor in both being Canadian, not brought up thinking football is their only option or escape and maybe took the free education segment of their scholarship more seriously.
  2. Footage of OL/DL one on one action. As far as I can figure in order of matchups. #91 Jamal Woods vs. #64 Dobson #57 Kyle Samson vs. #58 Huge Wallace #92 Rivers??? vs. #58 Ivy #5 Willie vs. #60 Keith Khalil #96 Schmeck with the spin move vs. #67 Kola #57 Jamal Woods vs. #57 Vlahogiannis #90 Fox destroying #67 Kola
  3. Why would the Als even let him in the door? If they want to be competitive they need to upgrade their roster, not rely on short term fixes like old man Lemon.
  4. Wut??? You can buy booze in Steinbach now?
  5. Opinion: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
  6. Plenty of candidates, but as long as he stays healthy unlikely to happen.
  7. Sure would be nice to have Bighill's future replacement in the building this year getting involved and taking reps. so the progression at MLB is clearly spelled out. Maybe Biggie would accept a lesser role and help convince O'Shea to use the new American/Natl. rules more effectively as well. Ease him towards the door before he signs another contract with unrealistic expectations of playing another 3 years. Same thing for Bryant, get ready just about time to move on.
  8. Could be Kramdi is one of the smarter players on and off the field and O'Shea recognizes that combined with his grittiness and work ethic being similar to the skills that sustained his own playing career. May also be why he sticks with BA year after year instead of replacing him with a flashier, healthier player.
  9. Cam will be appearing at Islendingadagurinn in both Gimli and Hecla July 1-3, even if he claims to be of Svedish decent, close enough.
  10. Problem is Ed only talks to the same 6 guys he's comfortable with, time for some new blood, the video segments should be handled by someone motivated and scared to lose their job. Everything you need to know is all right there, in those wacked out eyes.
  11. From recent interviews I think Yoshi is well aware he'll be in the spotlight for making the move to Sask. and the bump in salary he received, he seems very concerned about disappointing anyone. You can bet he's well prepared to put his best foot forward and will probably show up to camp in better shape than in years past.
  12. I would argue in the current media market Canada has enough football fans for the CFL and TSN to do very well, problem is at least half of those football fans choose to follow the NFL and ignore the CFL, and the advertisers follow the numbers.
  13. Just a way to free up a few more TC spots, a number of teams are using this tactic.
  14. I believe Lawler was required to stay away from practices while on the suspended list last season.
  15. According to 3DN's list of top paid returners Grant earned $110-$115k last season, missing all but 8 games he wouldn't have cost the team much SMS.
  16. Her contract expired, after that the Argos can hire whoever they choose and are under no obligation to provide any explanation for their actions. That's often the stark reality for workers in non-union environments, there is very little job security.
  17. Hate to say it but Sask. would be wise to put themselves in a position to be able to dump old Trevor Harris at a moments notice with no financial consequences to their cap. Rourke probably still wouldn't want to go there.
  18. I'll stand by my prediction, downgrades in all 3 positions. If their replacements don't perform, who're they going to bring in when there's nuthin left in the pot? History shows O'Shea stands pat with what he's got even when it turns out to be deficient.
  19. It's the effort and performance of underdog players like Bailey and Woli that help put and keep a team on top of the standings, the more quality players of this caliber a team has the better the results. Consider it the equivalent of having a solid 3rd line in hockey.
  20. Didn't say Bailey deserved "big money" but paying the man fairly for his under-appreciated service always seemed like the right thing to do. In all 3 cases I think we can expect the replacements to be downgrades in ability as they have nobody in house that is their obvious equivalent, so the plan to get better in these 3 positions is based solely on bringing in new/unproven players that can somehow match or exceed the performance of league standouts, always possible but highly unlikely. In the end I predict the overall skill level will be downgraded from what it was previously, players that earned the big raises were in place already, so that counts as more money spent with no upgrade in talent or performance level. The lost players will make a noticeable difference, gone not due to declining performance as it should be, but due to poor overall salary management. .
  21. Pretty upsetting when dominant performers like Grant, Bailey and Jeffcoat are given up on mainly because there's no money leftover to pay them close to what they deserve.
  22. Those 6 games Stove played in Wpg. made him a legend, hasn't done anything since.
  23. Bo Svenson, obviously he must be referring to the great actor Bo Svenson.
