  1. If football doesn't work out for Richards, he can always find work as a mannequin.
  2. Despite losing, Lefevour's performance in his first two games has been impressive for a guy no team wanted a few short months ago. He does so many things Willy is incapable of that I don't see Drew getting his shot anytime soon.
  3. Having Wild back would make a huge difference, Burnett is good but he was guilty of both poor tackling and over-running numerous plays against the Argos.
  4. If McDuffie can't go, who helps out Fogg with return duties? Please, don't say Dressler.
  5. I like the plan but just not sure they can shut down the Stamps so thoroughly. At minimum Paredes and Medlock would be racking up the points from the 50.
  6. It took the D most of the game to shut down the Argos and Lefevour from marching the ball so I expect to see more of the same from the Stamps. If the O can keep up in point production they have a shot but if they're at all slow off the mark it could be over by the end of the 3rd Q.
  7. Bakari Grant has been moved to the 6 game IR. Every little bit helps.
  8. Funny I was about to say, mechanics are nice but I would rather have a guy with a "Flutie brain".
  9. Great article. The bolded sentence below probably explains why he stuck with guys like Peach and Hurl as long as he did. “He built this team on character, and a lot of people say ‘that can’t happen in sports.’ Osh believes in that,” said Remple, the long snapper, who played against O’Shea and has worked for him in Toronto and Winnipeg. “When we make player moves and roster decisions, every conversation has Mike asking: ‘but how does this affect the team dynamic?’” Walters, the GM, relays. “It’s at the forefront of his thought process.” O’Shea will stand on the table and fight to keep an ‘effort guy’ around. He’ll go to the wall for someone who brings it. It matters immensely to him. But a winning team can’t just only have those. “We’re not all choir boys, but we respect the game and make sure one another are on point,” said Westerman, the rush end. “The players he’s brought in fit the profile of what he wants: guys who love playing, who bring toughness, who are not Boy Scouts, who are not afraid to hold others accountable.”
  10. O'Shea said on the Coach's Show he's out for a couple more weeks. He also said Adams accumulated 500 yards in 5 games.
  11. Condolences. If you bought it at Costco you can take it back, even if you don't have a receipt.
  12. They're only one injury to to BLM away from faltering. Tate is too slack to pick up the slack. Exhibit "A" Exhibit "B"
  13. The Stamps have a good O-line but that won't prevent the Bombers finding a way to get to Mitchell if he sits in the pocket, he is going to have to scramble a lot to avoid the rush and his accuracy suffers when he does that. Sure hope Wild is back in the lineup. As for the O the RB is going to be critical for outlet passes, I hope they dress both Flanders and Harris.
  14. Loffler is a revelation, when was the last time a Canadian player came out of the blue and performed like he has in his first season? I honestly can't recall another.
  15. It took a long, long time for O'Shea and Walters to field a competitive team but it appears they have finally reached their objective. They now have the personnel and depth to make the playoffs this season in the topsy-turvy CFL and are competitive enough to take a run at the Stamps. Right now they're riding on a magical wave of brotherly love that looks good on O'shea and will probably earn him his next contract. Continuing the winning trend after free agency this off-season will confirm whether they have the right personnel and coaching staff in place to progress in the playoffs or if a major upgrade at QB is necessary for them to become perennial challengers for the GC.
  16. Can't help feeling Benevides is in for a quick one and out as DC to be replaced by Noel Thorpe in the off-season. The Esks are looking more like the team they were 3 years ago than the team they were last year. Grand ole vets. better start playing for their jobs or there will be mucho turn-over of personnel for next year.
  17. Chris Jones type contracts are bad for the CFL, they distort the salary structure and award megalomaniacs with too much power. Hope other teams see this as an epic failure and don't venture down this road. Not that this has anything to do with O'Shea's renegotiation.
  18. I think Wild was missed, he could have helped in shutting down Whittaker. Burnett had 4 tackles, Wild may have had 8-10.
  19. Weird injury, from what I heard he lost a thumbnail but the way they escorted him to the dressing room with one guy supporting his arm it looked like a shoulder or elbow injury.
  20. Flanders looked good from the git go in TC, if it wasn't for Harris this guy would be their starting back.
  21. Smith could be back next week.
  22. I vote for Nichols, he finally did what we were hoping he could and for once the O saved the D's ass.
  23. Right, that might happen if they played for the Als.
