  1. Argos look beatable, too bad the Bombers don't have a crack at them until mid-season.
  2. I can hear the apologists now yapping about giving the team time to gel, problem is **** don't gel.
  3. Oh boyoboyoboy Is this going to be fun!
  4. Not that simple, Mtl. can't pin their ears back or Harris will burn them, Willy panics instead of exploiting the D.
  5. How was that not pass interference?
  6. What did Austin get for going after Giguere?
  7. Hit a few big scoring plays from the O and the D and rely heavily on Medlock to scratch out a victory. Superb games from both Medlock and McDuffy on returns would go along way to beating the Stamps.
  8. My Lord people, Johnson was playing against one of the best receiving corps. in the league and Kevin Glenn was "on" as the pass rush caused minimal disruption to his passing game. Like Washington before him it takes an excellent athlete to play HB and shutting down the best receivers in the CFL is just not going to happen. The CB can more or less focus on one player whereas the HB has to make a split second decision on every play which SB to track, so coverage is going to be loose at best. Damage can be minimized with the help of a good safety but not entirely prevented.
  9. Cracks were visible last season when they picked up a handful of wins they didn't really deserve including at least one over the Bombers, Mitchell is a great game manager but he doesn't have the skill level of a Flutie or Ray in his prime were he can win a game all by himself.
  10. I predict a BC/Sask. trade. Lulay-Lemon is just meant to happen.
  11. I don't believe Sheppard had a single drop in pre-season and he had some really nice catches in traffic were he had to fight for the ball. As somebody explained earlier, Mayo is closer to Dressler in skill-set and playing WR is probably the better sub. in this situation.
  12. The way Doug Brown explains it (and he used the Mtl. game as a prime example) all defences protecting a healthy lead tend to lose focus later in the game despite the coaches pleading them not too. It's human nature, when a D thinks it has the game in the bag the fears that motivated them to focus and play their very best earlier in the game have been quenched.
  13. I don't think so, although his Tweets kind of hint that he may have been cut but not yet publicly. They might have to make a space for the new LB on the PR.
  14. Who is the real Drew Willy though??? I'd think his innate QB programming would be to hold the ball for 5 secs. and then chuck it 75 yards.
  15. Tied to Hubbard's realease? He's sounding none too happy. Adrian Hubbard ‏@Foreshadow90210 6h6 hours ago All I care about is winning. I don't know where I went wrong or who I rubbed the wrong way. Adrian Hubbard ‏@Foreshadow90210 6h6 hours ago I just love playing football ,winning ,and making plays. Would be nice to have to have everyone else on the same page!! Adrian Hubbard ‏@Foreshadow90210 6h6 hours ago Be staying low key ,balling, and staying out of trouble. And I see guys whose skills are limited and staying in trouble keep getting chances Adrian Hubbard ‏@Foreshadow90210 6h6 hours ago Slow digest. Peoples problem is they hate to look bad Adrian Hubbard ‏@Foreshadow90210 5h5 hours ago Mind Blowing
  16. Scotty Moore, guitarist behind early Elvis Presley sound, dead at 84 http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/scotty-moore-guitarist-obit-1.3657336
  17. One thing I noticed as the game went along Willy got more comfortable relying on Harris to "do his thing" play after play. This must have been a startling revelation to Willy coming out of last years MB offence were the RB would only touch the ball twice per quarter.
  18. Whether sacked or not, he had to pick himself off the turf 5-6 times. Westerman shoved him so hard one time he almost took flight, it was absolutely comical,
  19. Bombers blitzed a fair amount, I can recall a couple each from Hurl, Bass, Wild and Leggett. Bass came very close and got great licks on Glenn at least twice.
  20. Dan Barnes @jrnlbarnes @Breakerdog @CFL_News Got answer for you from CFL's Glen Johnson. Ref mistakenly blew play in despite Ottawa not finished subs. 1/2
  21. O'Shea's challenge of Willy's tackle at the 5 has to be a runner up, he threw away a timeout and every one except Willy could see that it was well short.
