Fair enough, electric is not going to be an all encompassing solution anytime soon. Most families have multiple vehicles with the daily commuter carrying the majority of the work load, so the current range is adequate for most of those vehicles.

You read a headline and now you're just ranting. Review the Judge's explanation of why he dismissed the charges, it's 300 pages long. The prosecution failed to provide enough solid evidence of wrong-doing to convict, that's the way the judicial system is supposed to work. The Senate expense rules were either extremely vague or non-existent and the dismissal of the bribery charge made the PMO look much worse than Duffy. How the "taker" can be accused of bribery and not the "giver" is beyond me. if anything good comes out of this multi-million dollar fiasco, it's that the government can now ensure that the Senate define residency requirements and expense claims precisely.

It's a difference of opinion, some people want to treat birth as a celebration of life rather than the near death experience it is for 3 individuals of one family. Celebrating birth is like throwing confetti at the scene of a horrific car crash.

Yes Chiles is number one caliber, much better than Price but he may not be fully recovered from an injury he suffered last year. -
He was a wicked guitarist.

The Nissan Leaf is promoting from 133-172 kms for two different versions. I think the Tesla 3 is advertising in the range of 300 kms. Good enough for a daily commuter.

A mental assessment is obviously needed, that lady was crazy and her husband had to be a complete moron.

Criminal investigation underway, so probably wasn't a heat attack, I smell gunpowder.

Unfortunately with electric cars, they are technology based and limited in production so they will command a premium until mass production is ramped up to meet demand. No reason there won't be cheao electro-box options available within 20 years pouring out of of China and Korea as the complexity and the cost of production is much less than a standard automobile. In 40 years gas pumps may be as rare as electric charging stations are today.

It boggles the mind that Homolka would ever decide to have children with her notoriety, doubly so for bringing them back to live in Canada to be stigmatized. The last time the press tracked her down about 5 years ago she was living anonymously in the Caribbean, she should have stayed there for the good of all. Homolka should have been imprisoned for life once it was proven by film that she lied about her involvement in the murders. Why is it the government is obligated to keep up it's end of a plea-bargain when it was based on false information, there needs to be a reversal clause in such agreements. The prosecutors were seriously incompetent if they needed her testimony to convict Paul Bernardo.

To put it in perspective, the PC reign lasted 43 years in AB.

Electric cars aren't that far off in affordability. A Nissan Leaf pulled up beside me the other day and I did a double take. Price is around $32,000 CDN for a 4 door compact. Consider that the average driver burns through $5,000-$8,000 worth of gas in a year, plus around $2,000 for repairs and maintenance. Electric motors are much more reliable and durable compared to mechanical engines so repairs and maintenance are going to be significantly cheaper. Take those savings over a 10 year time period and it's almost a no-brainer. I'm getting in line for a Tesla.

Unbelievable story, you can't make **** like this up.

I was not commenting on the NDP situation in MB., I understand why they lost, they earned defeat through a record of bad governance established over time. Re-read the thread. I was referring specifically to Rachel Notley's situation in AB, and that no matter what she does from day one, she has virtually no chance of winning the next election.

Excuse me if I don't put much stock in your justification for ideological hatred. This is the phenomenon that is destroying political discourse in the US.

It might have something to do with the fact that he recently attended the Riders mini-camp in Vero Beach. He was in the neighbourhood so... -
It wouldn't make any difference what Notley does or doesn't do in her tenure, she won't get another. Ideological hatred is blind.

He's a hillbilly hero, got to let him have his parade. I hope they're keeping a close eye on the GC down there, it could be "reprocessed" and end up as a patch on Grandma's roof. -

You should have done a survey, good chance 75% of them moved to BC as retirees. I can believe exporting old people to BC was part of Alberta's solution to providing long term patient care services.

Doesn't have enough Ukrainian connections. -
Problem is with TC approaching every team is loading up their rosters with cheaper prospects hoping to find a young Milt Stegall. Every team is well aware of what vet. receivers like Denmark and Stamps can and can't do and they always have the option of signing them at some point if too few of their prospects work out.
