This Haidara signing might be an indicator that Andrew Harris is not as healthy as hoped and they might be running with 2 Natl. receivers more than was planned.
-
I guess the problem with Rush is that there was a healthy supply of LB prospects in front of him. Hope he catches on somewhere else as he looked like he could be a good one.
-
They could have brought Alex Vitt back in for the backup role as he attended camp, never got much of a chance to show his stuff and he knows the playbook. Plus he lives in Wpg. An exception is if they see Haidara as a long-term upgrade in talent over Bastien or Richards.
-
Poor roster management and waste of a PR spot imo. Bombers have one Natl. receiver spot with 5 Natls. contending. Conversely they have 3 Natl. O-line spots with 5 Natls. contending and they are down to one healthy backup.

Als just cut Mitchell White, it memories serves he was one of their best DB's last year. Jim Popp is apparently still trimming cap. TSN ✔ @TSN_Sports .@MTLAlouettes let go another DB, release Mitchell White. MORE: http://www.tsn.ca/alouettes-let-go-another-db-release-white-1.511451 … -

Pshaw on their pasta, keep sliding down that road buddy and soon enough you'll find yourself with a hankering for their women folk. Stop right here, cause you won't find any prettier than the reigning Miss Saskatchewan. -

I can understand the Riders conducting this experiment on the PR but it seems desperate to try it on the roster. The wild card being how well Reaves plays on ST, he may not play a snap as a starter this year and still make a worthwhile contribution like many ST players. -

Looks like Johnny Adams won't be back in time for the first game. Two rookies starting in the secondary could be cause for concern going up against Kevin Glenn. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Rookie Kevin Fogg is the man on the corner opposite Chris Randle. Julian Posey, who started Week 20 last year, locked in @ boundary halfback -

I haven't seen any replays of the incident but apparently Smith took exception to an Esk. sack and got in the guys face, drawing a major foul. Jones immediately pulled him and didn't put him back in until late in the 4th. -

I agree, DeMarco doesn't offer them anything that the other two can't provide. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep all four until they can pry something of value from another team. DeMarco is worth the least in trade. -

They still have Sims but they flipped him to the 6 game IR so he can get in shape. -
Ti-Cats are Castillo's best bet for a starting job, they just cut Mandell, so that leaves them with Maher and maybe Hugh O'Neill who I couldn't locate on their roster, neither is known for their FG prowess. Pretty sure Ott. is set with Milo and the promising Ronnie Pfeffer.

My all-time favourite. Thank you!!! -
I agree if they can trade Castillo great, if not offer him PR, if he doesn't accept PR then sayonara. It's not like they didn't cut other very good players who could have made an impact, it's just the nature of the roster limits. It comes down to Castillo taking up a space on the roster where another player would be of real value in rotation or backup. Bombers are paper thin at RB and having another back dressed for the game makes all kinds of sense for a multitude of reasons. Establishing and maintaining a good running attack should be a priority if the team wants to improve all aspects of it's offence. Harris is great, but even the great John Cornish always had someone waiting on the sidelines to help him out when needed. Ego be damned, it's a team game.

I think Mr. "Somewhere in Canada" is perfectly aware of what goes on in Riderfans and is probably an enthusiastic participant. -
That's two import kickers, I'm wracking my brain but I can't recall that being done before.
-
Yes, so he officially "made the club from the tub."
-
I agree, I think it's a mistake not to have Flanders on the roster as he outperformed all other backs on the ground in both pre-season games and that includes Harris. They gave the backup job to Lochard without a single carry in either pre-season game, meanwhile Flanders will sit on the PR until Harris is injured or he rots.

First pro snaps, what do you expect?
