I'm guessing stats. wise Westerman put up some of the best one season numbers ever for a Natl. D-lineman. Sinopoli's numbers wouldn't make the top 50 among Natl. receivers. That's another guess.

One thing I heard is that Turkey wasn't all that happy about the Russia attacking that region or the people that live along that border in the first place. The decision to retain both Walter and O'Shea has already been made, I would be surprised if Wade changed his mind now. Plus Huf has already denied rumours generated in Sask. that he was looking elsewhere for employment.

I think Lapo realizes if he stays out of the coaching game too long he ain't getting back in and as his wife and kids live in Wpg. it's a good fit for him. I have no opinion whether he is the best choice for OC or not but I'm confident he will be better than the last guy cause he just couldn't possibly be worse.

Masoli's performance goes to show what good QB coaching and game planning can accomplish. Condell and Austin designed the offence around him instead of trying to squeeze him into shoes fit for Collaros. Yes. Some good plays built for his...style. But from now on, misery for Masoli. I think you're right, I'd like to see more of that style of offence in the CFL but don't think any team is going to actually make a commitment to running it.

how can you be racist against a religion? It's a question of religious freedom, not racism. And PCB, our board constitutional lawyer, said that what Harper was doing was constitutionally wrong. And he was right. But it wasn't racist. I'm not a constitutional lawyer. I also don't think anyone has been tied into an "ideological pretzel." My issue was that is was not and is not fair to treat Syrian refugees as if they are categorically antithetical to our country and that there was a false dichotomy being created between having 25,000 refugees here this year and there not being proper security checks done. That hasn't been established, at all. Moreover, I'm not sure what to think about the no unaccompanied men policy, but I'm not definitively for it simply because Trudeau has announced it. If anyone is interested, the New York Times posted an article on the US security process for syrian refugees. I imagine Canada's is somewhat similar, but I'll guess we'll find out more tomorrow. I believe men will be included as long as they are a members of a family and can verify there whereabouts over the last 3-4 years. If this means they've been accounted for in a UN sponsored refugee camp for 3-4 years, then good chance they haven't been of much use to ISIS. The notion that ISIS could at the last minute sneak inserts into line by stealth was merely a scare tactic and illogical at best.

The Bomber brain trust were whining about the effect of all the changes their O-line went through and how it contributed to their downfall, but Calgary's situation was worse and they STILL look and perform better than the Bomber O-line did all year. And we had a vaunted O-line coach, too. Yup, tells me that it might be a scheme thing. Cgy. seems to be competent at pass and run blocking, so you have to wonder why the Bombers can't do either.
