  1. Anyone happen to have Marcel's e-mail address?
  2. I was wondering the same thing last week, this guy is virtually invisible. I wonder if he actually spends anytime in Canada. What?!? Orridge is an American who just got his Canadian citizenship. He made sure he was seen on television at one of the Liberal candidate's soiree's election night in Toronto. Interviewed on CBC that night. I know that. He's lived in Canada for around 10 years which is why I said "what?!?" to the ridiculous comment I bolder. You can't bolder me, I have bigger boulders.
  3. Yeah I have a point, Bucko. I am saying you don't have a clue what security costs, and your entire opinion is politically biased. I am basing that on all of the bullshit you've posted about Harper in the past. But really who cares. The election is over, and I would hate to sound "pissy". Well, you're wrong..again.Just a simple statement on my part about the expense of transporting the vehicles. That's it. Doesn't matter who was the PM. You just want to spin something, wrong or not. But you're still pissed that your boy lost the election and that he lost because all that "bullshit" was true. Oh well. I'm sure when the PM or President or other world leaders travel abroad they'd be able to rent or borrow armoured limos. But there is a reason they always prefer to use their own. And it's pretty obvious. Begrudging a leader his full security detail because it's not the party you support is small minded and petty. I'm sure the prince will fly coach and insist on driving his own smart car when he travels. You use the word "always" as if it is standard procedure. I challenge you to find another instance were they transported a limo for a previous PM to use in a foreign country.
  4. It sure sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Why would Walters fire him? Could have come down to money. With his team scouting approach Walters may have offered Mol a huge cut in pay compared to what he was paid under Mack when it was basically a one-man show.
  5. Good point.
  6. Except that it wasn't true, and you made a complete fool of yourself, by posting such utter bullshit. That's the point. Harper deserved to lose, and he's not "my boy". I will be just as adamant if next election, you post a bunch of total bullshit about Trudeau. Speaking of which: Here's Trudeau trick or treating yesterday with his wife and kids. I think it's pretty cool, that we have a leader who dresses up and goes out with his kids, even though this was no doubt a staged photo-op. How cool would it be to go to your door to give out candy, and there's the prime minister with this kids? Now, if I was a partisan jack-arse like you, I'd complain about how it cost the taxpayers money for him to go trick or treating, because they would have had to have an RCMP detail following, and probably clearing houses in advance to ensure that the new PM wasn't going into some sort of security risk. But I won't do that, because I think it's important that he and his kids get to live a normal life, and the parents get to enjoy their kids at this age, including participating in Halloween fun. Anything else would be un-Canadian. Looks like Mrs. Trudeau's is set to disintegrate some interloper with some kind of fancy lazer weapon. Either that or it's an equally dangerous portable glue-gun.
  7. I anxiously await O'Shea's reasoning for what the **** he's doing.
  8. It makes you wonder how a little guy like Ronnie Lancaster with an average Joe build could have played 18 years in the league without serious injury, but then this is a different game now. Back then you would never see a Safety blitz or a MLB in the backfield pursuing the QB. Unless they implement restrictions on how many players the D can actually rush I can't see how they're going to overcome this problem without changing the fundamental premise of the game. I would estimate in an average game the QB ends up on the turf about 8-10 times, whether he's sacked or knocked down shortly after releasing the ball. They can't exactly request the D rushers hold up before they get to the QB but they've got to come up with some sort of solution for the betterment of the game, that's obvious.

  10. You're mistaking the Prime Ministers powers and importance with that of an American President, they are totally different. In the Westminster model of government the Prime Minister is not supposed to be indispensable, as in times of war they can be frequently dispensed and need to be quickly replaced. The PM is the head representative of his party, basically the top MP. He is not granted any special powers over his fellow MP's and is there simply to represent his party. If the Prime Minister gets knocked off or dies while in office the party pushes the next man up, no election, no muss, no fuss. The bastardization of this system that has been progressing over the last 40 years which gives the PM carte blanche over party decisions may make it appear similar to the American model but it isn't supposed to work that way. Michael Chong's Reform Act is designed to pull the balance of power back towards the elected MP's so that they have more control over party decisions and the direction the leader is taking them. Hopefully more political reform is on it's way to ensure the political process is preserved as intended.
  11. For those seeking an experienced GM, the available stock is low so don't be surprised if names like Tillman, Taman and Higgins are bandied about. I have no problem with Walters staying on as the possible replacements frighten me more.
  12. Scary thing is that before Willy was permanently knocked out for the season he suffered two other serious injuries that took him out of games. His ratio of complete games vs. incomplete for this year wasn't even 2:1. Bombers are now walking in Sask's shoes, living and dying with a QB that can not be properly protected or kept healthy enough to contribute to a winning record. It's imperative that Willy's future replacement be present and productive at next years TC. Edm, BC and Mtl all found replacement QB's in first year players this season, next year the Bombers have to do exactly the same. No time left for a 2-3 year development period, the demand is now, now, now. I'm curious to see who is available come Free agency. As I don't have much hope in our Scouts to find what I think we really need. As in another Starting CDN lineman either side of the ball I don't care. And at least one stud big ******* WR. Enough of the small speedsters. I want a 6'3 monster who is going to run over DBs. Also wondering what is up with Anderson (RB), I think we released him right? Wonder if he comes back next year? I was chatting with Ed Hervey a couple of years ago as he was at my son's football event and that's the route he takes both with receivers and DB's. He said he doesn't look at anyone smaller unless of course their an extraordinary talent. I agree with that strategy, might give up a bit of speed but the trade-off is worthy. Anyone recall the name of that plus-sized vet. receiver the Bombers cut in TC?

  15. You lost iso?
  16. Why should we compare ourselves to the Americans and why should we care about how they go about their business? Irrelevant.
  17. I don't know which way this is going to go but nobody should be surprised if O'Shea is fired including Mike himself.
  18. That's all she wrote.
  19. "Nut job", is the keyword, this was not a well planned, organized attack and no one knows what his real intent was, you're just guessing that he wanted to get Harper. Unlikely that he knew where Harper was at the time and unlikely that he would ever have been able to survive long enough to find him in a huge building if he didn't have a precise plan. I think his real aim was to commit suicide and gain publicity in doing so, but then I'm just guessing. I think it's great that people can't remember this guys name.
  20. While we're on the subject of PM security, fear and paranoia... Annual cost for Harper’s RCMP security detail has doubled to $19.6 million since he became PM in 2006. Annual operating budget for PM Protection Detail2005-06: $8.8 million 2006-07: $9.1 million 2007-08: $9.8 million 2008-09: $14.4 million 2009-10: $11.8 million 2010-11: $14.8 million 2011-12: $12.2 million 2012-13: $15.8 million 2013-14: $19.6 million – Source: RCMP Full story http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/annual-cost-for-harpers-rcmp-security-detail-has-doubled-to-19-6-million-since-he-became-pm-in-2006
  21. Ha, that there is Suitor-talk, an obvious attempt not to credit the Bomber defence, so...it must be because he was bothered by that injury/non-injury. That was pure soccer theatrics at its finest. Couldnt believe he cried on the field then jumped up and practically jogged to the sidelines whilst signalling that was 3 times.. Soooo the other two were just as (not) bad then or..? And maas throwing his temper tantrum was awesome.. His players shoulda let him go to discuss this issue with westerman and anderson lol. Just a coach standing by his players. He's animated & fiery. The guy will be a HC in the CFL someday. Looking forward to the ultimate theatrical show down, Maas vs. Creehan. Should be bombastic.
  22. Westerman plays through to the whistle with motivation, hard to stop a guy that never gives up on a play.
  23. Forgive me but I like to post this every chance that I can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg5ZZW6MCu0
