Didn't know the Ti-Cats picked up Mitchell Gale. Just goes to show the smart get stronger and the dumb stick with Brohm. -

Impressed so far with the RB's new running back Powell, he must be another graduate from "Dime a Dozen U". McManus ought to pay that place a visit someday. -

Nov 22, 1963.... Kennedy assasination article
Fatty Liver replied to Mark F's topic in General Discussion
Huge can of worms imo. Watched many documentaries and read a lot about this conspiracy but until something is officially announced by the U.S. government (which they will probably never do) everything is a loose end. Just like the details of 9/11, once the event has occurred the justification or reasoning behind it is somewhat inconsequential to the momentum of the event itself. The following paragraph from the article is the most relevant point made and it applies well to any American crisis. "Those resolute voices in American public life that continue to deny the existence of a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy argue that “someone would have talked.” This line of reasoning is often used by journalists who have made no effort themselves to closely inspect the growing body of evidence and have not undertaken any of their own investigative reporting. The argument betrays a touchingly naïve media bias—a belief that the American press establishment itself, that great slumbering watchdog, could be counted on to solve such a monumental crime, one that sprung from the very system of governance of which corporate media is an essential part. The official version of the Kennedy assassination—despite its myriad improbabilities, which have only grown more inconceivable with time—remains firmly embedded in the media consciousness, as unquestioned as the law of gravity." -
You should give Wisers Hopped a try, they've combined rye with a dark ale finish, really interesting combo. Also highly recommend Wisers Small Batch as a heavy hitter, just make sure you're not too far from your bed when you're done, it's dangerous stuff.

How can you say that given that he's never played more than a handful of snaps at HB? The "IMO" suggests that its my opinion. I base that opinion off of what I think his skill set is. That's what this board is for correct? to form opinions and have discussions about our favorite sports team? I understand it's your opinion. I was asking how you came to form that opinion, seen as how he's never played the position before. didn't we recently have a conversation about this... Sorry, I missed the conversation... I'm thinking that the conversation he's referring to is not football related. It concerns "seen as how" versus "seeing as how". Irregardless of that, I could care less. Yeah... it was a joke... a few of us grammar geeks got all up in arms about people using "seen as how" a few months ago... Yeah, I'm still laughing about "Irregardless" although a lot of people use that term. I think it's actually "couldn't care less" also, although I'm certainly not a grammar geek. Hell, I can barely spell "grammar". My grammar was a sweet old bird but kind of cantankerous when she got into the gin.

Great stuff, I'm off to the store to snap some up as I spotted that new product last week but didn't flinch. Another very good whiskey that only seems to be available in MB. is Wiser Legacy, at around $40 it's a great buy. I usually pick up a case on my annual sojourn to MB.

Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.
Fatty Liver replied to Fatty Liver's topic in General Discussion
Careful now, don't be greedy. How would poor Jimmy Shaw get along without his $16,000/day for life pension? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/rob-magazine/jim-shaws-16000-a-day-pension/article567977/ This is one aspect of the Canadian business model that is repulsive. The CRTC steps in to protect an industry by preventing competition from outside sources but then allows the industry they're protecting to rape fellow Canadians. -
Good and finally. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/cable-changes-timing-1.3326645 Canadian consumers should have basic package for $25 and choice for rest of channelsCable and satellite providers must provide skinny basic packages priced at $25 a month to every consumer by March 1, 2016, the CRTC says. The federal broadcast regulator laid out a timetable Thursday for changes to ways television signals are distributed across Canada. In addition to the basic $25 package, cable and satellite providers must move to a pick-and-pay system or offer small bundles of channels, also by the March 1 deadline. They must offer both by Dec. 1 of next year. The basic package must include channels on the CRTC's mandatory distribution list, including CBC, CTV and Global, a group of U.S. channels and aboriginal and minority English or French language channels. The U.S. channels usually would be CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and non-commercial channel PBS. At least 10 of the channels must be local or regional, including the community channel and the proceedings of the provincial legislature, if available. TV viewers will then be able to supplement this with either individual channels or small bundled channel packages. The CRTC ruled last year that consumers should have access to more choice in their cable and satellite packages as well as cheaper basic packages. This is the first announcement of the deadlines for those changes. Some critics of the new regime say consumers may end up paying more for fewer choices, depending on how the cable companies bundle and price individual channels or packages of channels. And some specialty broadcasters worry they'll be left out in the cold if their signals aren't bundled with popular or must-have choices.

From my take if he wanted to say horde he would have used "the" as in "the NDP horde" instead he used "a" as in "a NDP horde", which doesn't make sense in the context. Not the first time Lukiwski has said or done something stupid but being a Conservative. from Sask. his words and actions won't deter his supporters.

That's exactly how I feel. Put a winning team on the field & the fans will come back. Fans are just itching for a winner. The question is when will the team do that? Wade must come into the office every morning, open up his spreadsheet shout f*ck! and slam his head onto his desk. Revenue lost in the last two years by not providing the fans at IGF with a semi-competitive team and a chance to win at home must be staggering. 2,000-5,000 fans less per game adds up quickly, especially when additional revenue from concessions is added in. In any other line of work accounting for this lost revenue would lead to the individuals directly responsible being fired but not with the Bombers, it's OKAY, they can try to do better again next year.

I found some footage of other teams using MB's schemes!

My parents made up for it when I was 10. They bought me a road racing set as a Christmas gift. Oh My God... You have no idea how happy I was!!! I was the most poipular kid on my block as everyone wanted to come over & play. If I had the room to set it up permanently, I'd buy another set for myself. That was sure fun... Strombecker? They made some seriously good ****. We had about 400 ft. of track circling our basement until the Boyne River flooded and wiped it out. :-( Living on an island on the prairies is apparently a bad idea. -
Sure did, I would go after Arcenaux hard before considering Matthews as an impact receiver. Manny is the physical beast the Bombers lack in their receiving core, in fact I can't recall them ever having a receiver with both size and power. Surprised that Nik Lewis style receivers are not more common in the CFL as the D backs are generally smallish guys and receivers with some bulk can cause a lot of havoc once they get space to operate.

Always enjoyed gbills contributions and hope he comes back soon. This forum should be working to attract posters, not drive them away.

Wpg. has hordes of football fans in waiting that will swarm back to IGF once they field a competitive team, a GC victory would be nice but it isn't critical to the survival of the franchise. Fans just want to enjoy the experience and winning is the key to that enjoyment. Not worried about their demise in the least.

I am a huge Khari fanboy. To me the pluses are: former CFL QB, success working with Durant/Willy/Jennings/Lulay, worked with a great OC is Cortez. The negatives are: only an average offense in Hamilton as OC, worked as an OC under Marcel. Yea i like the idea but just not as much as others.. I do think he is cerebral enough and aware of what an offense is needed to be nowadays but hes definitely a gamble. i would like to know who Khari would bring along to deal with the O-line coaching as I believe he would need strong support in that department. As we all know too well, if the O-line performance is not drastically improved it won't matter much who the new OC is as he will be doomed to failure.

just hope that the list of candidates is extensive and that they do their homework this time around.

So what are you saying? That those Muslim men didn't attack those gay people? I never understand why people attack the source rather than the content, other than because they have no other argument. What I'm saying is that highlighting these murders for their particular motivation is pointless when they are floating in a vast sea of murders that have equally inexcusable motivations. As for attacking the source, the agenda of the presenter has to be taken into consideration when vetting their message.
-
LOL. Oh boy. Did you ever stop and think that the reason this attack on gay people is "statistically insignificant" is because rarely are they even reported, and if they are, there is no mention that the motivation was religious-based hatred? (Islam being the religion). Ok, here we go. - See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2015/05/video-muslim-attacks-gay-couple-in-ny-restaurant.html/#sthash.nVwD1i9I.dpuf Pamela Geller? Really??? This is the woman who organized the “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest in Texas and then took no responsibility for the carnage that predictably ensued. She is currently attempting to organize similar events but probably can not find a venue or community willing to host them. You're more credible referencing Ezra and his "shiny pony" rhetoric than referencing her.

All I’ve heard for three years is how no one wants to sit in minus-30 conditions for playoff games in CGY. Fair. I guess plus-10, too. — Scott Mitchell (@SUNMitchell) November 16, 2015 When the marquee franchise can't get 35k or so to a semi final their is something wrong Look back over the past couple decades and see how attendance was for semi-finals in both conferences. 26 is probably right around the median, maybe slightly above. For back-to back semis in 2002 and 2003, the Bombers drew 22,000 - 23,000. For the 2007 semi-final Bombers drew 23,000. BC, Edmonton and Calgary have never been know to draw great crowds for semi-finals either. Sasky was 3000 short of a sellout in 2013 for the semi. Seems like a reasonably fixable problem for the spiffy new commish. to solve...seriously. Makes no sense that attendance drops off for playoff games. To start with don't crank playoff ticket prices up above regular season prices and start the season 2-4 weeks earlier to keep the fair-weather fans interested. They didn't crank ticket prices up in Calgary though. Tonnes of $35 - $45 tickets available too which is the same price those seats sell for in the regular season. If teams choose not to sell playoff games as part of their regular season packages, which I believe Calgary does not do, then it will be tough to sell 35,000 individual tickets for semi-final games. The best the league will do is move the season up one more week so the first week of the regular season does not overlap with the final week of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Another factor is the draft. The league will not move the season up any earlier than mid-June (late-May for training camp) due to the NFL and CFL draft. People need to accept this. If by some crazy chance we see a 10th team in the CFL, the Grey Cup will happen an additional week earlier in mid-November. Here's hoping... Calgary isn't as rock solid in their attendance as people want to believe. Too many NFL only douchebags in this town who don't give a **** about the CFL. Too many economic migrants that have no past connection to the Stamps or Calgary in general who just want to jump on the flashiest party train, basically soulless zombies attracted to bright, shiny objects.

I like you guys. I really do. But honestly, the naivete on this subject is really telling. Just because our media doesn't have the balls to report on it, doesn't mean that it isn't happening. Hell, even when it's plain to everyone that the cause of a terrorist attack is "Islamic militants", they still refuse to use those words. Our media is trapped in fear, fear of retribution from the people Bill Maher talked about in that Youtube video I posted from our politically correct establishment (see some who even post here, using words like xenophobia and racist etc to shout down discussion), and fear of being attacked and killed like Charlie Hebdo. They can't win. That's an example of one persons actions and statistically insignificant but it does not predicate that if Canada brought in 25,000 refugees the gay population would be in any greater danger then they currently live with. Unless an organized group executed a successful attack on a gay pride parade, the numbers would remain statistically insignificant. Imo murder is murder and hate is hate, is it any different if individual murder is committed within a family as is so often the case or driven by ideological hate of a specific colour, race, religion or sexual orientation? I would like nothing more then to see murder eliminated but the logical place to start is with government sanctioned murder. If governments neither financed (through tax $), bombed nor supplied competing populations with military grade weapons and technologies most of these geo-political problems would be reduced to skirmishes in the desert. No way in hell they would ever do that though as it would greatly reduce arms sales.

So what's the difference between their views on homosexuality and the "Christian right", who are already embedded in N.A.??? Neither group is stupid enough to openly attack gays.
