  1. Give me a break. There are better qbs out there that haven't been signed. Free agents. It's called RECRUITING, Mike.I've heard of recruiting once or twice. I'll try explaining once more. How can you, as a fan, say Davis is worth cutting when you're basically going off absolutely nothing? You say there are better quarterbacks out there. Obviously. But if that's your argument, we may as well just cut everyone because we're not rostering the best anything in the whole world right now.I'm asking you - how can you justifiable say with any confidence that he should (or should not) be cut when you're giving a blind opinion on the topic? We haven't seen him do anything, good or bad. Mike, this is a merry go round with you. Round & round. As usual when you start up with me it always ends this way. You're actually arguing with me over the merits of keeping a fourth string qb?? What I said was my opinion. If I could see this discussion actually going somewhere I'd be more interested in carrying on. I'm done talking to you. Buh bye. It's funny because everyone can see I've actually been trying to get your take on something for like the last 8 posts and you just keep dodging it. You can blame me for a merry-go-round if you want but I'm not the one refusing to answer a simple question.Iso's gonna IsoA different opinion doesn't mean he's wrong. A few posters ganging up on a member doesn't mean that member is wrong either. It's not about a different opinion, it's about refusing to back up his opinion and opting instead to try and pretend like people are attacking him for having an opinion as opposed for asking for that opinion to be clarified and expanded upon. I swear there is a real lack of understanding the difference here. Yes, I'm guilty as charged for the crime of having an opinion. For that I am being sentenced to death by hanging. There's the gallows. Throw the lever & drop the floor. Let me hang until dead. Yea, though I walk through the Valley Of The Shadow Of Death, I fear no evil. Thy rod & thy staff, they comfort me. I'm entitled to one last dinner of choice, prime rib on the barbecue. Also a cigarette & whiskey on the rocks before my execution. I also have but one last simple request... I have a letter in my back pocket for my family. Please make sure they get it & tell them... I loved them.. Wow. That's a powerful story, you need to write it down somewhere and publicate it.
  2. You can have em, I don't want em, they're too short for me.
  3. Who was the quarterback? Picard was in for all the debacles vs Hamilton and Edmonton. He's not adding anything, even mentally. The stats sheet indicates that it was a "Mr. Deadman Walking" for that particular game. Yer welcome.
  4. Walter would be a nice addition to the Bombers if he comes loose, good backup RB and good on ST. They can send the invisible Cronk on his way any time now.
  5. Goosen played the entire game at C in the blow out loss to the Stamps earlier this year in one of the worst performances by the O-line to date. Hopefully he learned from that experience and gets better going forward.
  6. Would likely have been a top pick in his draft class but dropped to the 3rd round because he was too good (CFL draft logic). I loved this pick when Mack made it; finally we were making moves like the big boys make rather than drafting another sheckbangle who might be able to contribute on special teams. We need to make a pick like this every draft class. But as Mike already pointed out, he's at NFL weight right now. So him not heading up here right away isn't the worst thing anyways. Give him a full offseason to do some jazzercise, hit the treadmill, supplement his diet with ex-lax, that kind of thing. Whatever became of Sheckbangle?
  7. No, no and no.
  8. The Stamps have a rider on a horse who gallops up & down the sideline after a Calgary touchdown. The redblacks have a guy dressed as a lumberjack cut through a log with a chainsaw. Lame. Lame. Lame. Now if you had the guy with the chainsaw cut off a leg of that horse as it runs by and gallop around the stadium waving it.....that could be the start of an interesting feud.
  9. I see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWhVLaGy0NU
  10. I like word puzzles as much as anyone but I stared at this for 10 minutes and I still can't figure out what the hell you're trying to say.
  11. #TheWaltersExperience Walters really should stop hanging around at the bus station.
  12. Walters might leave on his own to Guelph. Coach Mike Riley might become available in the off-season. Would he be a good GM candidate? I thought Riley was in his first year with the Huskers?
  13. Glad to hear that but how is he on the ground? Ever seen an eagle run???
  14. I thought Da'rel Scott looked pretty good in the few touches he had last game, he seems to run with power. Of course the scheme is designed to make any RB look mediocre but that's a given.
  15. Oh ****. It's that Steven Miller.
  16. Good turn out in advanced polls usually means motivated voters. They can be motivated by the opportunity for change or motivated to preserve the status quo. Which of these two scenarios do you think is most likely playing out?
  17. If I recall correctly O'Shea dialed it up for one game last year as well at which time many were convinced he'd turned the corner. Unfortunately that was an illusion and he reverted to the same passive/aggressive Mike we have seen most of this season. In the post-game interview with Bob Irving, Mike said that "play-off mode" could not be sustained over a number of weeks if it wasn't actually true, stating that it was "too much" to ask the players to believe it week after week. I think O'Shea in some ways is too honest with his players and lacks the acting skills necessary to play the heavy motivator to get an elevated performance out of this team. The D seems to be responding to the challenge but the O is still floundering and doesn't seem to have the ability to rise to the next level even if they wanted to.
  18. Okay, I worked Advance this year. Friday busy but also first day so lots of mistakes were made by everyone. We're talking people who have not done this in 4 years and the training is sub-par. Saturday-Sunday much better. Pretty empty after 4 each day. Monday, busier then Friday but with 4 days experience the wait was shorter. Elections Canada did not dictate how many advance polling stations there are at each place, the gov't does. Or so I was told. What can be done to shorten wait times? Eliminate the need for the poll clerk to write down the voters name, address and get their signature. Increase the # of poll stations. Increase the length of advanced voting days. Online voting. This was the 4 and final day. Who walked away today? The person who did not show up the previous 3 days. The person who did not go to the Return Office to vote. The person who also could have voted by mail. Oh yeah, that person. The one who can still vote on Election day. Are you serious??? Sounds like a method they might have used in 1915 before they invented brains. Sure hope this isn't part of the plan on election day because I'd bet bread a lot of Harper's hand picked poll clerks are on the bleak side of 80.
  19. This turn out is good news for the Cons. if those advanced polls were located in retirement homes but basically bad news if they weren't.
  20. Out of those 11 remaining games it would be a minor miracle if BC, Mtl. and Wpg. generate more then two wins between the three of them. My guess is Wpg. wins one against the RB's to secure the last playoff spot, Mtl. beats Sask. and BC gets shut out.
  21. #jimpoppsgooseiscooked
  22. How far down the Als. QB ladder do you have to climb to find Brandon Bridges?
  23. More like the 18 game IR. Frustrating thing is next year will be like starting over with him. It's going to be many years if ever before he is a better option than JFG.
  24. No malice, good sack by a UofM boy.
