Teams are hesitant to go for two but I think once we start seeing more success with the two point conversion and 1 point converts missed. What Collaros accomplished in his first season as Ray's replacement contradicts everything you just said. If Marve is dumb as a rock and unable to learn, he may not have the upside many see but I don't think that's the case. Pigeon-holing him into Willy and Brohms playing style is ignoring the obvious, he is more in the mold of Collaros or even Lulay. I understand completely why Marcel is happy to build his O around Willy, it literally provides him with career security in the long-term. Whether he can read a D or not Marve has already proven that he can accomplish twice as much as Brohm in half the playing time. Time will tell if his skills materialize into a career or fade away to nothing as you suggest.

I think the writing is on the wall for Marve, he doesn't fit into Marcel's system and is never going to unseat Willy. Unless he's happy being a backup like Tate there is not much upside for a young QB with ambition on this team. I don't think his NFL ambitions are realistic but I do expect to see him go to F.A. in the off-season to try to latch on with a CFL team that is willing to make better use of his skill set.

You are underestimating the Esks. Given Stampeders injuries, I can see Edmonton finishing first in the West and even with Nichols as QB, Winnipeg will have their hands full. In fact, I'll be surprised if Winnipeg betters the Esks, which makes the blown opportunity against Calgary even more regrettable. I don't think so, both of their victories have come over the RB's and with Nichols at the controls bad things are going to happen. If Willy plays consistently and the offence can put a decent number of points on the board I think they will top them. I'm certainly not expecting to see a continuation of the mistakes that they made tonight. I'm expecting a game of redemption. I agree. Reality is we eliminate our own mistakes and we owned the stamps tonight. Not sure why some argue it but 16 of Calgarys 26 points came off mistakes. One on a blocked punt. One on a Stoudemire fumble. It's too early to say the D. has made a leap but every time I watch Sask. play I have seen a mirror image of Ritchie Halls D. Glad Hall has made the necessary adjustments that Chamblin has been unable to figure out yet.

I think for the most part the talent is in place and they're coming together as a team. This was by far the best results the D. has shown this year, despite the displeasure people have with Hurl. Looking forward to next weeks game with EE and expect the Bombers to win comfortably.

I don't believe Messam has the character that O'Shea requires or the budget that Walters requires. He seems to be all about Jerome (stats, money, playing time). Plus. he's not an every down back.
