  1. Crimony, that's a high price to pay. They pretty much have to start this guy regardless of the competition or they lose face. Don't like how this scenario is shaping up and I think somewhere Sam Hurl just put his fist through a wall.
  2. I'm a bit surprised especially since improving the fan experience seems to to be Wade's mandate on his way to extracting $$ from pockets. If they drew over a thousand last year for opening day, than this sounds like a golden opportunity to expand their business and start their season off with a big publicity bang. Accommodating and involving the fans at this event is probably looked upon by the coaches and players as a PITA but In the end it all works toward paying their wages by creating awareness and excitement for the season to come.
  3. Surprised no other team has picked up Morley yet, may be he is contemplating retirement.
  4. I'd be very surprised if Picard's salary is carried beyond 2016 T.C. They will get what they can out of him this year but I think his days are numbered and he will be replaced by Goosen to start next season.
  5. One other consideration is chopping salary from underachieving receivers, I think this is a make it or break it year for Nick Moore. Paying Import receivers $150+ is unnecessary and has not benefited any CFL team as far as I can tell. Walters is doing a great job so far and there's no shame in swallowing a few rookie mistakes he may have made.
  6. If Walter's has to dump salary, start with Neufeld and get whatever he can for him. In my eyes Neufeld is still listed as potential and there's little proof that he will become a reliable starter. I just re-watched Game 4 of last season against Edm. and on many plays Neufeld was a virtual turnstile for Willis and company. Lining up beside Bryant is going to raise Greaves game to another level and solidify the left side of the line. I suspect Greaves has at least 3-4 years of starter left in him and he will play those years in Wpg. or elsewhere in the CFL, the same can not be predicted for Neufeld.
  7. Simple solution to ridding Alberta of this social menace, sterilization. When these single mothers come in to collect their welfare bounty, have them zapped. Might as well do their rug-rats at the same time to help break the cycle of poverty and despair and further protect Alberta from infestation down the road.
  8. I nominate you as the new O.C. Go tell Marcel he's fired.
  9. Hate to see players cut prior to training camp, makes it difficult to assess whether they are cutting the right players without letting them compete.
  10. I would expect Chungh will have his eyes fixed on another NFL tryout in 2 or 3 years, not a different CFL home if he is as successful as we all hope. These short contracts are turning the CFL into a "rent-a-player" league for the best athletes.
  11. Sorry, can't see a CFL player developing an NHL attitude with the amount of money they are paid and the competition they face keeping a job. Apples to oranges.
  12. Chungh, good. I see Richards as the next Rory Kohlert, do we need another? Morgan looks to be a good athlete who will likely end up as a career special teamer, I think they could have picked him up in a much later round. Surprised the Bombers and so many other teams passed on Durant as he has the talent, size and passport to be a future star in the CFL. As for attitude, I don't trust pre-evaluation of this characteristic for what it's worth. Apparently he is not well-spoken and shy, does that equate to a "bad attitude"? Ever seen a Cory Watson interview??? Durant's college stats. speak volumes, those kind of numbers can't be achieved without strong motivation and dedication. This guy is still young, put him in a good locker room with older wiser football players and coaches and I predict he learns to tow the line pretty solidly.
  13. Is this Kyle Walter's vision of Mr. Thunder?
  14. Impressive video. I believe the Bombers have just found the next Doug Flugie.
  15. I think sitting Sears was ratio-necessary due to the dysfunction of the O-line more than anything.
  16. I wonder if Rennie Curran is still out there waiting for the stars to align? Easy to forget about these guys when they drop off the radar but as far as I can tell the Bombers could still use Curran but have probably moved on in their planning.
  17. Possibly but more likely one brainiac with a bad idea and 3 collaborators to help defray the cost.
  18. Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb.
  19. Sort of looks like a mouse done by Pablo Picasso in kindergarten while he was on acid. I like how the blue dot representing his mind is floating out in space. It's damn good!
  20. Try watching his his stuff this week on Kadr and the election. Its easy to paint people in generalities without actually looking at specifics If this is the video that you're referring to as even-keeled then you have a serious problem. At least kelownabomberfan had a valid excuse! Please examine Levant's language, he frames Khadr's name with the following to stir up negative emotions. "convicted murderer" "war criminal" "convicted terrorist" "confessed murderer" "confessed terrorist" "muslim nazi" (twice) "hates Jews and wants to kill them and other westerners" "like Paul Bernardo" Ezra is not a legitimate journalist, he is a propagandist. Please examine the circumstances of Khadr's detention and conviction before jumping to simple conclusions.
  21. How exactly do you put dicks in a bag? Do you have to cut them off first? Replace the box with a bag & there you go. Great idea for the wife's next birthday present. She will be thrilled!!!
  22. Oh my...By posting a link to an Ezra Levant video you have dealt your credibility as a clear thinking individual an enormous swallop.
  23. I've seen a lot of people who I know have never owned a stock in their life crying about the sale of GM stock "at a steep loss". When the government received that stock of GM, it was pretty much worthless. Everyone was just hoping GM would survive. The fact that the government was able to get $3.5 billion for a company's stock, that was essentially bankrupt, is a big win, and it's too bad people want to play partisan politics and criticize the government for realizing some value on something that could easily have been a complete zero. Should the government have held on to the GM stock? If they had, and GM had gone back in the dumper, then the same people would be crying about how they could have had $3.5 billion and pooped it away because they didn't sell when they had a buyer on the table. The one thing I've noticed is that any information can be spun to the negative if put through different filters. I don't object to our Gov. selling stock of any company…at the right time. I just don't necessarily consider "the right time" being when you're balancing the budget. Could be a coincidence…but I doubt it. I agree that the senate does serve a purpose…but not the way it's being done now. BUT The Cons didn't do the best they could in Senate reform because despite appointing Senators that the Provinces have elected, they still have "appointed" Senators whenever they see fit. They were not alone in that practice, and that practice must stop…for true Senate reform. You can't just leave senate seats empty, they need to be filled and if the provinces can't be bothered to get off their asses and put senators on the ballot then what's to be done? Actually you can leave the seats unfilled if you create and follow a plan to minimize the amount of seats that would represent true Senate reform. You don't "need" that many Senators. It would take work, but if you're true to your words... Sounds easy but it's not. They would need the full approval of the provinces to implement reductions like this and the Maritime provinces approval is coming....NEVER. Here is a list of the Senators by province. Original signers at the time of confederation: ON 24 QC 24 NB 10 NS 10 Followers: PE 4 MB 6 BC 6 SK 6 AB 6 NT 1 YT 1 NU 1 Blackballers: NL 6
  24. Unless of course they list environmental groups such as the Sierra Club as eco-terrorists but then they would never do that...would they??? http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawas-new-anti-terrorism-strategy-lists-eco-extremists-as-threats/article533522/
  25. Still not convinced Neufeld was not damaged goods when he arrived, this season will determine his true worth.
