  1. Projector in Willy's helmet that projects the play on Morley's butt?
  2. Surprised Kromah would be taken out with no backup for Kuale, seems to me Sears and Unamba are redundant as they're backing up the same positions. Knapp continues to fall further down the depth chart, not looking good for his chances next season.
  3. Anybody want to debate Pat Tracey's tenure?
  4. How about starting off with baby steps and giving Volny 5 carries per game before jumping all in with the plan.
  5. At this point of the season why would Edm. want to help the RR and potentially lose out on a home playoff game and all those $$$?
  6. If the ORBs give up on Burris it's a colossal admission of a mistake in signing him as the franchise player and Desjardin is never going to admit that even on the day he's fired. unless they can replace Burris with a better QB getting rid of him makes no sense whatsoever and diminishes their chances of improvement in the future. The Ottawa games are still selling out so they've got some leeway to improve the team. They do need to organize a major airlift of American talent and I would be surprised if that already isn't under way.
  7. Shut the hell up! We just got rid of the infestation, don't be inviting them back with taunts.
  8. Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunchbox." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling. LOL Nonetheless you still need yer nap.
  9. Can you please provide a link to this? Can't find it anywhere including the Wpg. Sun.
  10. There's a lot of talent in Saskie. Probably more than any other town in Canada. Including the doctors. Welcome Rod. We've been waiting for you to join this forum for along time.
  11. The men in the tinfoil hats would surmise that the CFL needs the eastern teams to win and they must have blocked the communication channel that the WBB's were using ensuring that the call couldn't be communicated from MB to Willy. There's really no other explanation. Am I the only one that saw Austin on the sidelines with rabbit ears and a HeathKit?
  12. But thats not what they asked or said that pissed him off, seriously dude,, the cjob reporter on the sidelines keith mccullough or whatever his name is tweeted something he thought o'shea said when o'shea actually didn't say it... Wouldn't that piss you off too? If not then you haven't been paying much attention to how O'shea operates. Wont throw players under the bus and the tweet the CJOB reporter sent out implied that Oshea threw Lirim under the bus when in fact he didn't. The tweet is gone now too so what does that tell you exactly? McCullough was dead wrong. Otherwise the tweet would still be there for all to see. Oshea spent 15 seconds talking about that tweet and hasn't since. Done and Done. And I dont think he should have spent any time responding to it. Why was it a priority for this team that he was showed a "tweet" immediately after the game? I'm not sure he was showed the tweet. From the final gun to the actual interview, there were a ****load of people that he would have encountered that may have brought it up. Doesn't Keith do the sidline report for CJOB? He might have actually asked him on his way back to the locker room I suspect he was lurking near the Bomber bench and probably heard the exchange between Lriam and O'Shea and just condensed it to fit the twitter format. O'Shea was probably most upset because he considered that a private moment not for public consumption.
  13. they'd buy the ink by the barrel with nickels, which had bees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say. You see, back in those days, rich men would ride around in Zeppelins, dropping coins on people, and one day I seen J.D. Rockefeller flying by. So I run up the house with a big washtub and... Anyway, about my washtub. I'd just used it that morning to wash my turkey, which in those days was known as a walking-bird. We'd always have walking-bird on Thanksgiving, with all the trimmings: cranberries, yams stuffed with gunpowder. Then we'd all watch football, which in those days was called baseball... they'd buy the ink by the barrel with nickels, which had bees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say. 14. You just don't get it. That's not his mantra. We all know it's not just another game, he knows it as well. That doesn't mean he's going to say it, much like how he said we'd be the same team with Brohm under the controls if he ended up getting the start tomorrow when we obviously would not be. Not that difficult to understand how O'Shea handles himself in the press. I fully get his mantra but O'Shea has to realize he's in the entertainment business and not politics, so as the Bombers only spokesman he owes the fans and the media a modicum of respect in providing valid "real-time" references in regard to the Bombers status during his press conferences. Otherwise fans and media will begin to tune out "his message" once the playoff hopes fade and the "new coach is cool" infatuation wears off. Once the media is starved for relevant info. they begin to fill their columns with drivel like Wiecek has recently. Wrong again (on many levels but I'll keep it short as possible). O'Shea is not in the entertainment business. O'Shea is in the coaching business. You could say the players themselves are, but it's not up to O'Shea to provide the entertainment (and where politics come from is beyond me - Not even sure how you reach that conclusion). O'Shea doesn't care if the fans or media tune out his message, and he shouldn't care. The ONLY message O'Shea needs to be concerned about is the message he provides to his players, which is why he conducts himself the way he does in front of the podium. It's the right way whether you like it or not. Excuse me but you must have fallen asleep during your moderators 101 class. You have your opinion and I have mine, doesn't make either of us right or wrong, we just have different perspectives. If you want to act as though only your opinion is correct than please take off your moderators cap before posting so that you don't discredit this forum. When O'Shea's salary is ultimately derived from approval of the product he is putting on the field for which the fans pay to view for entertainment value only, that is the first clue that O'Shea works in the entertainment industry. Second clue. Like it or not O'Shea appears on TV and in print at least once a week speaking to the viewers and the press as part of his contractual obligation to convey information regarding a product he wishes to sell, "Bomber football" which can be classified as nothing but entertainment. If those duties do not go well as with Mike Kelly, his performance in other aspects of his job may not matter very much. Ultimately every coach will keep or lose his job depending on how well entertained the fans are. Not surprisingly most fans derive much more pleasure from winning than they do from losing.
  15. Delicious tears are flowing like wine over in Riderfans tonight!
  16. Reilly not having any luck throwing this half. Shut down their run and they're beatable.
  17. RR O-Line holding every play. Even when the Edm. rusher gets behind them they continue to hold onto the back of their jerseys.

  19. are you a doctor? Did you examine him? I'm sure they aren't risking his long term health for a non divisional game. Yeah... the bombers have never done that with QBs... Thought I saw a photo the other day of Buck wearing a white coat with a stethoscope around his neck. Ya don't suppose....
  20. Ahhh, you're probably right, I likely misinterpreted it. I suspect the Bombers injury travails have been the determining factor in deciding were the D.I.'s play this season. No excuse for next season though, I wanna see 2-3 RB options available for every game. Mono-iz-no-goodo.
  21. Well, this is it. Time for O'Shea to admit that winning this next game is critical and not just another game. It's now or never time.
  22. As I posted in another thread Paul LaPolice wrote that most CFL teams are using at least one D.I. to enhance their running games. Bombers are using them up exclusively on the D. If they can ever get back to 3 Natls. on the O-line I would like to see them follow this trend. http://www.tsn.ca/lapolice-what-s-happened-to-running-backs-this-year-1.90899
  23. Name one team that switched out their running back for something other than an injury or a problem with ball security. In the following article Paul LaPolice explains how the extra two D.I.'s allowed for 2014 have changed the running game in the CFL. http://www.tsn.ca/lapolice-what-s-happened-to-running-backs-this-year-1.90899 Here is an outtake from that article. One of the most important things to understand with this roster size now is that you have the ability to plan and practice expecting to have the DI available to you if you are a coordinator because of the four spots. In previous years with less DI's, often the DI would be decided depending on the health status of your roster. For example, you may have to dress an Import DI receiver because one of your starting import receivers is banged up and may not play the whole game. If you normally used a DI running back, you would have to make the switch and take the DI running back off the roster and replace him with DI wide receiver. Nowadays, you can have both on the roster and still be able to gameplan for the roster spot as a DI running back. So how does all that relate to running back rushing yards? Teams are allowed to break up the rushing job to more than one back and are able to build packages with two tailbacks in the game at the same time. Edmonton has utilized this by having Kendial Lawrence and Tyler Thomas on the roster. They can split carries as well as be in the game at the same time and have plays designed for each other. Lawrence is 11th in rushing and Thomas is 16th. Add their rushing yards together and they would lead the CFL in rushing. Edmonton also has Jon White, who has also rushed for 334 yards this season but is on the six-game injured list. Saskatchewan also has had success with using multiple import running backs on the roster. Anthony Allen leads the Riders with 593 yards which puts him third in rushing in the CFL. Will Ford is sixth in rushing with 425 yards and is able to be part of a 1-2 punch that the Riders rushing attack will hit defences with. Toronto has utilized several different backfield combinations this season but normally carry two import running backs. Curtis Steele is eighth in rushing with 437 yards and a healthy Steve Slaton is starting to come on with 224 yards so far. Montreal is fun to watch with Brandon Whitaker, who leads the CFL with 695 yards and they can also line up with Tyrell Sutton in the backfield. Sutton gets the opportunity to prove his worth and not have to wait for an injury to the starter to be on the roster. .
