Probably a seperation but Willy did not exhibit many signs of pain so that makes me wonder because a seperation usually hurts like a S,O,B.

I drank some wicked rye tonight, drained the bottle and woke up back in 2013!

Did you hear Rod's voice break? I think he split his zipper.

29-3 Argos....wow.
-
Argos are putting the boots to the Stamps! Hope they can hold on in the second half. Suber is looking....super.

I honestly think the Bombers will have a hard time with Edm. with Reilly back they're good in the air and on the ground so hard to defend against. if the Bombers do win it's going to be a scrap to the finish.

Hope both Marcel and Etch are watching this 'cause the running game is alive and well in the CFL. EE is approaching 200 yds. rushing.

Both Hamilton and Montreal defences seem to be vastly improved in the last few weeks.

I lost track of how many times O'Shea used the word "stealth" in that press conference. He's a sneeky bugger.

Woldu deserved the fine. The official was positioned correctly and Woldu could have avoided him. Please. That is the very definition of a stretch. It wasn't like he steam-rolled the ref. He basically brushed into him. I'm sure the league talked with all parties involved before handing out the fine so stop waving your snotty green flag about. See anybody here complaining about the Morley fine? Far as I know it takes two to tango. Get over it.

What a nasty little weasel Wiecek is. Here is the press conference were O'Shea addresses the issue of these "stealth" practices. http://www.bluebombers.com/video/index/id/102629 From the sound of the voice asking the questions I believe it's Lawless but nonetheless O'Shea answers all of his questions openly and honestly. This article is like a declaration of war. I guess Wiecek is unhappy that he has to do some actual work to have anything to report.

And now I'm going to tell you that you're wrong about Kelly. Have I made you happy?

Paris Cotton moved to practice roster

Problem with Grigsby is that he runs with zero power (and I'm not talking about size, cause 170 lbs backs can run with power too), is extremely inconsistent, basically a big play back who gets less effective as he touches the ball more, 4 of the last 5 games he's had 10 carries or less. He hasn't come close to 20 total touches since the game in Hamilton. If we had a guy who could handle 20 carries a game and a roster spot for an extra RB, Grigsby would fit in well there, as a guy we are relying on he's a huge handicap on our offense. It's pretty clear that the offensive coaches are feeling the same way as they are moving more and more away from Grigsby being featured in the game plan. The lack of a consistent rushing attack is clearly the difference between the Bombers offense being 7th in the league or being in the top 3 offensive teams. Good point. This might explain why the Bombers offencive production went through a mid-season slump for awhile, declining game after game. During that period It seemed like every other play revolved around Grigsby, run or pass. That was probably a reaction to Willy overusing him as an outlet, trying to preserve his health by using quick throws. As the O-line has improved Willy is getting back to spreading the ball around like he was earlier in the season and the improved numbers reflect this. -

Ford's best year with us was running for 594 and receiving 41 with a total of 3 TD's and 2 fumbles he lost. Grigsby so far has 623 yards running... 341 receiving with 9 total TD's and I believe 0 fumbles lost..... You may want to rethink your opinion on Ford. Ford never played a full season as RB wth the Bombers, he only became a starter once Chad Simpson was injured in 2013. -

Any other CFL team trying to get it done with one RB? Pretty sure the answer to that question is "no". For me it always comes back to Marcel and his play-calling and personnel decisions. I don't have faith that this is the OC that will be able to lead the Bombers to anything other than mediocrity. -
It probably comes down to a "stupid brother thing" they had going on. He was practicing against his brother when the injury occured.

Could just be due to injuries, he wasn't dressing the last few games anyway so why not put a couple other guys on the reserve list instead, guys that might help out a bit more.. Maybe both Booker Mosely and Pall get on the 46 man this week, one will probably sit though. I think this is the most logical conclusion, juggling the numbers to get more help for the D-line on game day. -

This is true only if you disqualify the 6 or 7 RB's in the league that are actually better at running the ball than Grigsby. If I really think about it I might come up with 10 who are better. -
I guess Louie Richardson would have to step up. Not sure the entire BC O-line can be classified as garbage, I believe their main problem has been finding someone competent at L-guard were they've gone through numerous prospects this year.

Edmonton Eskimo defensive back Patrick Watkins for making offensive and inappropriate comments directed towards an opponent during last Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders. Winnipeg Blue Bomber offensive lineman Steve Morley for punching an opponent during Sunday’s game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Saskatchewan Roughrider defensive back Paul Woldu for making avoidable physical contact with an on-field official during their Week 10 game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday, August 31. Anyone know what started the fisticuffs that Morley was involved in? I think the 3rd incident happened when Willy ran in for the TD after he hurt his ankle. Surprised that ref. was able to get up and continue after the hit he took. Sask. player hit him square in the back.

Walters can't afford to stand pat, he needs to bring in at least two prospects in case there is another injury along the D-line. Luckily he's got a buy week to do it in.

Time for a quick fix. Somebody has to be available. JT Gilmore Kenny Mainor Michael McAdoo JD Griggs

Lulay officially out for season
Fatty Liver replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I suppose, But i would think that they wouldn't trade burris until they are sure they have someone that can take over from them. Qb is one of the hardest positions to find (see bombers pre 2014) so trading away a proven starter and future HOF QB for a starting Cdn o-linemen is insane to me. Oline is very important but if you have Troy Smith (or clone) it won't matter who is around him. If your QB lacks accuracy or the ability to read a defence he is worthless. Burris is an inconsistent QB, but he's not the reason the Redblacks are losing. That team could scrap out some hard fought wins if it cleans up some of the rest of that garbage, like that sequence with Chevon Walker last week. They will not be able to do that without Burris. Are they willing to completely write off 2014 to get an Olineman? And if they can't find a QB, 2015? I doubt it. The message that would send to season ticket holders in Ottawa would be awful. They are already supporting their stumblebum team through incompetence because at least they are trying. Now you tell them you aren't even trying anymore? Awful. Not going to happen. /checks google, sees Eric Tillman does not work in Ottawa... Not going to happen. Agreed, they bet the farm on Burris and so far haven't reaped any reward. RB management would look like complete fools if they admitted they'd made a mistake on their franchise player and gave up on him in their first season. Like him or not Henry hasn't deteriorated that much in one off season and hate to use a cliche but he does "give them the best chance to win", game to game. I think they were overly optimistic with what they thought they could achieve in their first season but they are making baby steps and will likely end the season with a record similar to the 2013 Bombers. Next season is a crap shoot but reasonable to think being in the East they could have a record of 6-10 wins if they get a better cast to support Henry. -
To be fair Walters told us his plan when he was first hired as GM. Slow and steady through the draft. Some may not like it but you have to give the man credit for sticking with his plan. With the cross-over option available and the recent QB injuries to other teams at this point it's nye impossible to predict whether the Bombers make the play-offs or go on to a Grey Cup appearance. I think serendipity is going to play a large role in where Western teams end up.

Bombers seem to sustain more injuries in practice than they do in games. This practicing 100% full out sucks. I'm 100% aginst it.
