  1. The receivers aren't even in the top three of Bomber's problem areas this season in fact talent wise as a group I would arguably rate them in the top 2-3 in the league. If the Bombers can get their running game in order I predict Willy will surpass Ray in passing yards this season, it's just a matter of providing him with a few seconds more to progress through his reads.
  2. Not odd, clearly doesn't meet code. Neufeld might be handle that fall but it's going to finish off Granny and her walker.
  3. QB's are starting to drop like flies all of a sudden. Collaros, Lefevour, DeMarco, Durant, Reilly, Glenn....who's next?
  4. I bet they never expected their BC billboard to garner national attention and they probably had a few of these printed up for every CFL city beforehand.
  5. Hall is not lining up anywhere inside the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle and being effective. Pure finesse pass rusher. He's going to get manhandled inside off the snap. Hall is nowhere near the football player a guy like Chick is, he's a specialist. Good point. Regardless of where he lines up I still think Hall would make all his D-line-mates jobs easier by drawing more attention to himself.
  6. But what kind of beer? There's so many types with different flavours. This just out. Tim Horton's is coming out with a coffee flavoured beer. Seriously.
  7. Elfrid Payton? When did he play for Etch? Montford's only 'bad' year was with Toronto... except he was still a CFL all-star I think. I was hoping Etcheverry would have learned some humility by now but maybe not. That quote is worrisome - sounds like old Etcheverry blah blah. Funny, both of those players are in the Hall of Fame and Etch couldn't figure out how to use them in his "system".
  8. If you notice how Sask. uses Chick they move him all over the place to attain the easiest access to the QB while the other members of his D-line do most of the grunt work. In the end he makes all of his line-mates better, I could see Hall being used in the same way. I think O'Shea's stance is from looking back on the first 9 games and not thinking forward to the next 9 which will be much tougher and require better weaponry.
  9. Sigh...Kelly has proven to be spectacular when used and invisible when not. The priority should not be in replacing him but in how to use him more frequently.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if it already exists! Voila! http://www.torontosun.com/2013/02/13/aporkcalypse-now-for-bacon-flavoured-beer
  11. $289,000 for a condo. in Regina??? Wholly frick.
  12. The only excuse I'd accept for not pursuing Hall is if they are lining up either Mulamba or Bilukidi for a role on the D-line and don't want to spend time or money chasing another import.
  13. $250,000 Love it! Just think of how this will benefit the Bombers, no Dressler in Sask. and Ottawa breaking the bank once again on a single player! Any pay sites where we can contribute to the "cause"? Desjardins will go down in HISTORY as the biggest fool that ruled in the CFL!
  14. and by hipster beer what you really mean is good beer right? Cause all the mass produced pilsners are fizzy yellow water. Can't blame people for demanding more from a beer. like raspberry flavouring? Something no one needs from a beer. The beers with fruit in them are for chicks. Which is why I don't get Raspberry Porter. "Chicks" don't typically drink Porter and guys don't drink Raspberry. Tree does this and it drives me nuts. I used to be able to get the Porter without the Raspberry and it was really good. Don't know WTF it is with the Raspberry. Saw fruit flavoured beer for the first time about 20 years ago in France. They sell the fruit flavours like shooters that you add to the beer of your choice and they must have had 50 different flavours to choose from. Best one I tried was licorice but to each, his own.
  15. Nothing creative about the RR organization, that slogan is stolen from a current TV show and every other marketing idea they've had comes second hand from the Packers.
  16. Doubt it costs them a penny as BC Place has expanses of empty seats every game. All it means is that every season ticket holder gets to bring a buddy with him to one of the four remaining home games and the walk-up crowd gets to fill an empty seat in another game. Increases local exposure to the product and generates more peripheral revenue so it's a win even when they lose.
  17. If you find yourself inexplicably drawn to the "Arnold Palmer" aisle in Sears, you probably don't qualify as a hipster anymore. .
  18. They used to, back in the Sweryn Mervyn days. As someone already said, if Winnipeg can get out 34K then BC should be able to get at least that or more to their games. It's kind of pathetic when 25,000 people show up to watch a game in a facility that almost every other city in North America would die for. It really speaks to the future of the CFL that they're losing the marketing/brainwashing battle to the NFL and that globalism is sweeping Canadian culture into the dustbin of history. Take notice of how every "Mom and Pop" restaurant, motel, whatever is being swept away by a "brand name" replacement. Never thought I'd see the day when Canadians would embrace Budweiser beer as their beer of choice when we produce so many superior beers, but sad to say those days are here. I dunno about that last part. I go a lot of places and all they seem to have is hipster beer. Might just be that if you're going to "hipster places" and everyone around you is drinking "hipster beer" you might actually be a hipster yerself. My hips bother me before it rains but I don't consider myself to be much of a hipster nowadays.

  20. Sears is more valuable than Unamba. If they can manage the ratio Sherman can go back to back-up until Sears next injury.
  21. I don't think the CFL had much to do with where Vancouver decided to build BC Place. Can't see why they can't move it, all they need is a few farmers with big tractors to haul the thing out to Langley or Maple Ridge!
  22. I would think quite a few. BC president failed to tell everyone to read the fine print. The seats will likely be freebies in the rafters that are never full anyway. having sat up there many times I can say they are still darn good seats. It's a beautiful stadium. Its too bad the hipster-douchebags in Vancouver can't fill it. If the CFL would only realize hipster-douchebags are not their target market they would stop trying to appeal to them and build stadiums on the outskirts. Their target market should be suburban-lawncutting-mojoes and freakin-farmers-from-yonder-fields.
  23. They might want to reconsider that strategy if the Bombers finish the season at .500. Hopefully this is Walters decision to make.
  24. I suspect the ORBs will make Dressler a ridiculous offer he can't refuse and they may go after Matthews as well once he is cut.
  25. Why wouldn't he be trying to bring in Greg Carr, Doug Pierce and/or Priche Rodriguez from the Arena league, or contacting Joe Mack to track down some young receiver talent from the States? TJ Harris, Kurt Adams, and Jade Etienne are still available too. I suspect the ORBs will make Dressler a ridiculous offer he can't refuse and they may go after Matthews as well once he is cut.
