Great to hear your perspective, it's encouraging. One huge influence that hasn't been mentioned is having all the games broadcast on TSN so that younger fans who can't afford to go to the games can follow their favourite team. All it takes is the interest of a father or older brother tuning into the weekly contest for the seed to be planted. In my case I was a huge Montreal Canadiens fan from the age of 5 simply because the weekly broadcasts on HNIC were a staple in our household every Saturday night. Football broadcasts being so much more erratic in the day, I really didn't become a Bomber fan until around 10.

According to Darren Bauming the Bombers will be playing a double MLB set with Kuale and Kromah to contend with the run. Interested to see how this works out.

Don't really care about the uniform thing, actually wanted to avoid that discussion, thus a new thread. I guess the group that I'm most interested in is the 20 somethings. Are there a lot of them attending games or have they succumbed to the omnibus marketing campaign of the NFL and deem the CFL "minor league"? Must be a few of them on this board that can chime in. I know in my case my buddies and I started to attend games in our late teens as a group as soon as we had a car to get us there and money of our own to purchase tickets....and beer! For the most part that experience made us all life long fans of the Bombers and the CFL. I must note that this was prior to the 100 channel universe and unbridled exposure to the NFL and it's marketing campaign was still in it's infancy. Circa. Dallas Cowboys and Roger Staubach to be exact.

I'm beginning to think Neufeld is not going to be the long-term solution the Bombers hoped for. He hasn't played half the games this year. Can someone provide an accurate diagnosis of what perpetually ails him?

I was going to put this in the Royal Blue discussion but I think it's a separate discussion unto itself. The ever-changing re-design of sports uniforms is mostly marketing towards the youth market. Not really sure how much that demographic comes into play in the CFL marketing as I suspect the average CFL fan is 30-50 and up and doesn't appreciate change as they once did. Sometime it's hard for mid-life white guys to think that the world revolves around anybody else but themselves and those like them so an outside perspective is needed. The youth market is important to the CFL because the very young fans are the future season ticket purchasers and should not be ignored. Any of you have a view of how the CFL is working to attract the next generation of fans and whether they're meeting with any success?

I always liked Lysko as a commish. Always did what he could under difficult circumstances. I think it will come to a crisis point over the upcoming off-season. Whether it will be resolved or not remains to be seen.

I think Bryant made it past the cut off and is paid to the end of the year whether he plays or not.

Milanovich is pretty unlikely to take a coordinator gig at this point in time. Montreal does seem like a good bet. Yeah no kidding, he'd get a head gig no trouble if he left Toronto. Gotta agree with that. Whether it's putting Bolton in as the extra RB or McGuffie in as a receiver, It's time these guys got a chance otherwise what's the point in keeping them around. They have been here a while now. Let's see what they got. Anyone go to Practice? How do Bolton and McGuffie look out there? Like they belong or ?? Probably tough to tell with them on the practice squad but still... Effort there? Getting better every day? Romby has played in about half the games this year with nothing to show. I've seen enough.

If we lose Moore and Neufeld still not good to go... I hope they start Feoli-Gudino instead of Bryant to at least give us some ratio flexibility. That will enable us to add Cotton as the 2nd Imp RB or perhaps Bolton. I agree completely. I think the roster spot could be used a little more efficiently than adding Cotton to the roster, but there's no reason for Bryant to play over JFG. He didn't. Romby did not dress last game and JFG did, although I can't recall him having any balls thrown his way.

I disagree whole heatedly with changing out the D.C. other than the two games with Sask. the D. has been the Bombers strength and even in those two games they've kept the score close enough to win and shut down Durant rather effectively. As I've said before Sask. has a monster running game and it will require some positional tweaks and personnel upgrades to be able to deal with it more effectively. Etch's next exam is slated for this Sunday, so we will see how smart he really is. If Etch continually refuses to make the changes necessary to deal with the bigger Western teams ability to run than he does deserve to lose his job.

Bucknor seems to get picked on the most but he's coming along. A bit surprised they have not tried Alexander in his place as both are Natls. and Alexander has more experience. BTW I don't believe that he's actually injured.

Bombers have to focus on beating EE twice and BC once at least but that just got a whole lot harder with Lulay being announced as the starter for their next game. As for beating Calgary chances look slim unless they demonstrate in the Banjo Bowl that they've figured out how to contain the running game.

Terrible news. When Hall was cut O'Shea said he was devastated and it doesn't look like he's recovered his focus yet. Hope he hangs in there, many don't.

Problem is, who is that someone ? There's a reason why the league allowed Braley to have the team in the first place. Find them! there's so much money in Toronto and Southern Ontario the league has to do a sell job to someone and convince them that owning the team is for the greater good. Hell work hard on MLSE and get them under that umbrella if that's what it takes. I refuse to believe that there is no one in that area willing to own the team. I highly doubt that the League hasn't been trying since Cynamon and Sokolowski owned the team. Commissioner Cohon has stated many times that they're still working/talking with MLSE, which doesn't seem to have done much, although Braley should take some of the blame there, MLSE reportedly offered $8 million in December and Braley said no thanks (he wanted $20 million originally). Braley is a successful businessman, he can't be that stoopid.
