  1. Well no not really.....he's some sore of freakin' boat/man!!!!
  2. Great news that a QB coach is still part of the plan. Looks like no RB coach this season. That would be a low totem pole priority for me. Here's the ball, now run for your life!
  3. Guess I should have qualified a "positive" nick name.
  4. Happy to see McCune land in Wpg. If Wally is to believed the trending in the CFL West is to the running game and McCune would be a good antidote to that type of attack. Don't forget this is a guy with a couple of well earned nicknames. Robert "The Hammer" McCune and "Mad Dog". It's been a long time since an individual Bomber player earned a nickname, can't recall anyone since "Blink"....so it's trending right.
  5. I noticed late last season when TSN made the format change to V.O.D. that the CFL games began to show commercial content. Maybe this is they're long term thinking.. Before that it was really nice without the commercials could watch an entire game in about 85 minutes.
  6. Anyone know what's happened to the Games on Demand feature on TSN? Only game now listed is the Grey Cup final. Is this typical for them to take all the games down and make us wait another 4 months to watch any CFL football?
  7. I wondered if Swayze Waters might follow O'Shea. The punter is the most important member of special teams in my estimation and Swayze is a good one. Does screw with the ratio though...
  8. LOL That looks to be a full sized bath towel hanging from Ralphs's waist!
  9. Agreed I like Max but the Bombers can't stand pat. If he gets injured (and he will) there has to be a capable QB waiting to step in or vice-versa. At this point I don't care who it is, Glenn, Willy, Tate, Nichols, Nieswander.....but we do need two solid candidates. So Bombers better keep pursuing any and all available options because they are diminishing quickly.
  10. Exactly. The Bombers are running out of options and he won't cost us much. Definitely worth a serious look.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me if Hufnagel trades for Glenn than puts Tate up for trade. I wouldn't mind this, although he is fragile Tate is a competitor and a bit crazy. The way I'm feeling now I'd like to see the Bombers play with a bit of crazy anger this year. An ode to Tyrone Jones.
  12. Strong words. Why would you refer to Burris as a "douchebag"? Consider the business of football and what Austin just did to him before judging in such harsh terms.
  13. I have to believe this has something to do with Barker's planning but not sure exactly how it's intended to play out...but surely having Collaros land in Wpg. is to his advantage. The Argos really only have 2 competitors in the East so why not try to trip up Austin and throw a wrench into his plans. Kind of forces Austin to **** or get off the pot....he needs to decide whether to go after Collaros or secure Burris..
  14. It boggles the mind in this digital age that we haven't heard a peep about Collaros having any NFL tyrouts. You'd think somebody, somewhere would be able to track him down and find out what he's been up to this winter. I guess sprortwriters nowdays mostly poke around on the Internet reading fan forums and speculating wildly as we all do!
  15. Speaking of short DB's....what is the status and the future of Marty Markett?
  16. This logic doesn't fly with me. We should be worried about the prospect of a player going to the NFL in 2-3 years? What are the odds he makes it? And on the flip side of your proposal, what's to say Drew Willy doesn't get a NFL look if he's successful with our club? Correct, same possibility exists regarding Willy but I believe he has already had some time in the NFL so perhaps he's given up on that dream.
  17. Frustrating that so little is happening at this time of year when expectations of positive change are sky high. My main concern over Collaros is his future ambitions and lack of info. regarding. Haven't heard a thing about his try outs with NFL teams this winter or his prospects. Even if the Bombers managed to sign him to a first contract he may still elect to try his NFL luck again in 2-3 years time much like Dressler and Sheets in Sask....so I can't see how this bodes well for the Bombers long term plans. Bombers might have greatest success going with Hank in 2014 with Willy as his understudy and than putting their chips down on Willy to take over in 2015. If Hank wants to stick around a couple of years past 2014 no problem as long as he accepts this transition in role and salary. In this scenario either one coming in off the bench to rescue a game is going to sound good to me.
