  1. Exactly, unless these guys were considering finding work outside the CFL there weren't a lot of opportunities available. No turnover in GM ranks this season but could be a few next year if teams don't show improvement.
  2. Anyone know if Bomber Bob Cameron had his own line of football helmets made by Cooper Weeks? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1003118184095180/ https://www.ebay.ca/itm/225739946196 Maybe the name is just a coincidence, as they look quite primitive.
  3. Bombers like spread out signing announcements throughout the off-season to keep fan engagement somewhat alive.
  4. Coach Mike O'Shea and the end of the season media conference. https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/11/27/coach-oshea-end-of-season-media-availability/
  5. Not in Sask. they'll start to tear the barn down before they get around to cladding it. They're most comfortable being miserable and unhappy.
  6. The only thing I could see motivating them to make the leap is a drastic increase in pay for position promotion, they could both potentially double their salaries.
  7. The same could have been said about Collaros at the end of the 2017 season before the Ti-Cats traded him to Sask., most people thought he was on the decline and already washed up. He has cracks but has managed to patch himself back together mentally and physically and play at a high level multiple times over his career.
  8. It'll thrill you to know Rider fans are in an orgasmic tizzy over Buck becoming HC and bringing Younger and Dru Brown along with him.
  9. I would assume they're spending to the limits of both caps, if not, it's on Murray Edwards for chintzing out and Huff for going along with it.
  10. Stamps have just as many coaches as any other team and the same budget, it's Dickenson's choice how he fills those positions.
  11. There's only been one firing around the league so far, that's usually the event that triggers personnel movement, limited openings, limited movement. The management cap "handcuff" has forced stability on all organizations and has given each management team time to work through their plans and prove they know what they're doing...or not. "Wasn't given enough time to implement our plan" is no longer a valid excuse.
  12. Comes right back to roster management and why they choose to make do waiting for players to regain health, instead of using temp. replacements. It could be a money issue with a tight bottom line.
  13. NFL PR money is not steady income, most PR players get cut a few times, jump to different teams and repeat the process, they rarely get promoted to a game day roster for even a few games. Brady has the option of having a spectacular CFL career or a footnote NFL career.
  14. If Brown gets an offer of $300k, he's gone. Zach is the face of the franchise, none of O'Shea, Miller or Walters is going to think it's time to move on, they may consider it after 2025, but not before.
  15. It seems half the rhetoric coming out of Edmonton is focused on stomping out any whiff of communism and the other half is changing the name back to the Eskimos, just because.
  16. It's one thing to talk about it, another to find an owner willing to step up and take on the risk. I doubt Katz the owner of the Oilers is interested.
  17. He'll probably end up playing in one of the new leagues down south, may come back up once he's done.
  18. Cody breaths fire! 😗
  19. Bighill could have subbed in for Gauthier, perfect scenario.
  20. The Bombers can no longer afford to pick off league best players as they did with Jefferson and Bighill, they are now on the other side of the ledger desperately trying to retain their own free agents.
  21. Dedrick Mills would be killer, at 5'-10" 228 lbs. he'd be much cheaper than Brady and fit in nicely. Stamps should keep him over often injured KaDeem Carey.
  22. I wouldn't be surprised if Holm gets some NFL looks, by the end of the season he was the most consistent DB and playing better than Nichols.
  23. I think his replacement will be Clements or Kyrie who should be considerably cheaper.
  24. No way especially if they want to retain Schoen, I don't think a RB has ever made $200k in the CFL.
  25. No, but O'Shea can still beat up anyone that chooses to disagree with him. "Darren, can you please shut off the camera and lock all the doors, it's donnybrook time."
