  1. I know Lucky is a BC fan favourite, but on that roster he's probably the 6th best receiver, would be surprised if he didn't move on after this season.
  2. Wonder if they have to cut other PR players to make room? Still expecting Bailey back and BOLO to start for Schoen who seems done for the season.
  3. 6'-5" 292 lbs. he would have looked good on the PR, surely in all that time they could have taught him something...
  4. Chungh, Desjarlais, Casey Sayles and Lawler himself, all players the Bombers wanted to retain but couldn't afford to, every year Walters discusses the difficulty of keeping a winning roster intact. There's no magic accounting, certain sacrifices have to be made. The receiving corps. would still be good even with the loss of Lawler or Schoen, because everyone else is capable of picking up the load and making plays.
  5. Collin Kornelson went back to the U of M, not sure if they were thinking of switching him to the O-line or if that was fellow U of M grad. Cole Adamson.
  6. Do you think they're going to actually cut Lawler after promising to pay him? I can see the Riders making a decision like this but not the Bombers.....something, something, integrity and living with the consequences of their decisions. If he underperformed you would have a valid point.
  7. Maybe they wanted to go all in this year and aren't worried about next season?
  8. I don't know why they didn't see this coming when they re-signed Lawler, I sure did. Maybe they thought there was a good chance they would lose Schoen to the NFL, who knows? They lost Lawler the top receiver in 2021 to F.A., I conclude they are now equally prepared to lose Schoen after this season to balance the budget, as Kenny is signed to multiple year deal. The flip-side is they would be able to bump up Bailey if Schoen walked.
  9. You're correct, that was also the case when Collaros moved to the Ti-Cats, Mike Reilly moved back to the Lions and more recently when BLM's rights were traded to the Ti-Cats prior to F.A... Gettin somethin, is better than nuthin.
  10. I remember that trick play being used by the Als a season or two ago, I think it was Antwi that tried it twice, and got it right once.
  11. I don't think he received many offers elsewhere, so he decided to stay put. I'd be very surprised if the Riders offered him $150k and he said no, suspect the Bombers are paying him around $110-120k.
  12. If Walters can't pony up a decent bump to hold him I think Bailey walks after this season, especially if he wins his 3rd GC ring. Rings are nice but they don't make up for lost salary. Don't know how much another team would offer him but he can probably be signed for $140k. Eventually some other team is going to see the benefits of adding his grit and drive to their roster and seriously go after him.
  13. Are you talking about some kind of reward in heaven **** here?
  14. Khari has gotten around as a coaching assistant, Hamilton, BC, Sask., Montreal, now Ottawa, so far success has not been a prominent feature of his coaching career.
  15. It would be a travesty, but could happen, not a given Brady receives the nomination for MOC in the West. Prejudice is in play and Betts and Ford are both going to receive multiple votes, it could come down to a vote splitting scenario were the best candidate doesn't get the nomination.
  16. That's only the pick of the Wpg. selection committee, 4 other selection committees in the West.
  17. Right, Rod Pederson and Henry collaboratively backslap each other to draw attention to themselves. O'Day's reaction, "Huh? I haven't even started yet!".
  18. Tyrie Adams is likely their 2nd or 3rd string option, they might cut Piggy loose in the off-season.

  20. Yep, Brown might look a whole lot shakier playing behind the Sask. O-line.
  21. Can you name them? Honestly don't see it as most teams are fairly invested in their starters and won't push them aside. Say what you like about Fajardo but I would think Mtl. is fairly happy with his performance this season. I guess if Dru Brown is happy to accept $200k, maybe there would be a list of teams willing to give him a whirl.
  22. Should probably rest Bryant and Neufeld as well, let Gray fill in at LT, and Eli and Dobson wherever. Still on the 6 game.
  23. Brown probably wouldn't consider any place he might end up second string with second string wages. If so what's the point of moving on? If he wants the bigger money, he's going to have to take a leap of faith and choose a team in dire straits willing to pay him starting wages.
  24. I don't think the Stamps will be interested but Sask. and Ottawa could be.
