Hopefully if Zach has learned anything from the last 2 GC cup losses, it's take what is given and don't risk forcing the ball downfield when there's nothing there.

Was that under David Braley? I doubt they didn't have the money to pay him but were probably scared to go way over the cap and lose a draft pick. Times have changed in BC, no fear. -

Rourke is a talented QB, he should eventually get to a GC game, but it might be a "Mike Reilly like" journey were it takes over 5 years and a different coaching staff to get him there. Same is true for most CFL QB's that stay in one place long enough for a competitive team to be built around them. -
I don't think Biggie had practiced for many weeks before the GC last season, for Schoen it was 6 weeks. I hope BA can return for the WF, to my eyes Jake Kelly has been adequate in coverage but physically inadequate as his replacement.

Haba on the outside looking in as a healthy scratch, this might be it for him.

Jordan Younger might have a HC opportunity before Buck ever does, don't know if he ever crossed paths with Hervey as they both played for Edmonton, but maybe not at the same time. -

3DN suggesting if Hervey is the new GM, Rick Campbell could be their next HC. Geroy could eventually find his way back to BC, as could Jarious Jackson. -
Don't know if that is Clercius, I would describe him as solid but not dynamic, which is ok, they don't need the same kind of longball receiver in every spot.
-
Hmmm down the road maybe if they lose Lawler or Schoen, but he'll likely revert to backup again next season. Clercius likely replaces Woli in a year or two.

Yah, and where are they now? You think the Bombers should go all in on Strev. as Zach's future replacement? How are they going to do that and what is it going to look like? -
Wouldn't mind seeing Clercius in place of Wheatfall, he's a good steady if not spectacular receiver.

Like I said, Strev. is half a mile behind Fajardo in terms of development and will never be given the playing time needed to catch up. If the Bombers want to stay competitive after Zach is gone, they won't have the luxury of investing multiple seasons in "Project Streveler" only to realize he'll never approach Zach's level of competent play. It's not so much the physical ability to throw the ball or run, Dru Brown showed more ability with less playing time because he has the quicker QB mindset which gives him the ability to see and read the field quickly. -

He's no longer a raw rookie and has little to show for the 4 years he wasted waiting for an opportunity in the NFL. Believe it or not he's fallen a half mile behind Cody Fajardo's progress in developing from a short yardage QB with no hope into a starter, and is unlikely to ever make that progression. If he had stayed healthy this season and Zach had not, how comfortable would the mafia be riding him into the playoffs against the Riders, Als or the Argos? I think they would choose to start Dolegala in that situation, not going to beat any of those teams grinding out 17 points. -

Wikipedia has a lot to say on this topic, but it's only accessible to people who can read. In 2020 pressure mounted from team sponsors such as Belairdirect, Boston Pizza, and Sports Interaction, a First Nations–owned betting company, for the team to change their name. The term Eskimo is an offensive term historically placed on Inuit people. The team officially dropped all use of the word "Eskimo" from the team on July 21, 2020. Some Inuit, Yupik, Aleut, and other individuals consider the term Eskimo, which is of a disputed etymology, to be pejorative or even offensive. Eskimo continues to be used within a historical, linguistic, archaeological, and cultural context. The governments in Canada and the United States have made moves to cease using the term Eskimo in official documents, but it has not been eliminated, as the word is in some places written into tribal, and therefore national, legal terminology. Canada officially uses the term Inuit to describe the indigenous Canadian people who are living in the country's northern sectors and are not First Nations or Métis. The United States government legally uses Alaska Native for enrolled tribal members of the Yupik, Inuit, and Aleut, and also for non-Eskimos including the Tlingit, the Haida, the Eyak, and the Tsimshian, in addition to at least nine northern Athabaskan/Dene peoples. -

Sure why not, maybe call them the Edmonton Bohunks or Khokhols, derogatory names can be fun. -
I'm hoping Woli is back, having him as a safety outlet would be a huge bonus for Zach.

True, he has slimmed down considerably from when he first arrived in 2019. -
I think you might have to be from Sask. to understand what this post is about, it reads like pure nonsense.

Strev. signed a one year sweetheart deal with the assumption better offers would follow, that hasn't materialized and no team will be trying to steal him away in F.A. He's gone from a bronco buster who could break off big runs at anytime to a workhorse who plows forward and picks up 3 yds. He can sign another sweetheart deal with the Bombers as a Dan Lefevour clone and play out his career, but at his age he's fast running out of options. 2018 WPG 18 77 441 10 5.7 29 2019 WPG 15 127 726 12 5.7 38 2024 WPG 13 87 272 10 3.1 27 -
Anticipate the crossing routes, neither Ouellette or Armstead are good receivers.
-
Maybe so, but Ed doesn't pretend to know anything about football, he's an accomplished story teller.
-
Unfortunately the Bomber pass rush has been dismantled, they are last in the league in sacks at 26 and are unable to ramp pressure up even when they need to. BC was second best in sacks with 39 this season and they managed to sack Harris only once yesterday, there's little chance the Bombers will be able to rattle his cage, so they're going to have to play very good pass defence to limit the damage, the key to the game may come down to the linebacker play.

Yes it is. What great depth of football knowledge do you think these journalists possess?
-
How is that different than any other journalist? Does Ed Tait or Darren Bauming know anymore about football than John Hodge? As far as I see 3DN is not an insider's scoop, it's a much needed CFL focused media outlet.
