  1. It's a positive he's from Kansas and not the Eastern US, as I could see some Eastern teams offering him the most money. Best thing could happen he finds himself a Wpg. girl, that's one of the reasons Desjarlais went to Ottawa.
  2. Demski signed a 3 year deal this past Feb., he ain't going nowhere. As for resigning Schoen, it depends on what his goals are, winning a cup this season would sure brighten the odds of retaining him.
  3. They do under The Sports Cage, it's hard to find and never worthwhile, I can only take 5 minutes of Ball whining.
  4. He already missed the boat, the loss to the Crummy RB's was the upset of the year.
  5. Crum is all out of magic tricks, I don't see Ottawa winning another game with him at QB, wonder if they will replace him with Tyrie Adams when he gets healthy. Arbuckle is healthy but doesn't even seem to be a consideration, how pitiful is that?
  6. Sadly it's up to Zach as a leader, he's been on a bit of a roller-coaster this season, perhaps trying to do too much at times when he just needs to settle down and play smart football. I don't know if he feels challenged competing with another elite QB like Kelly in the league trying to steal his MOP crown, but his performance has been inconsistent. Having Harris in the backfield took some of the pressure off him to lead, maybe Brady can grab the bull by the horns and take charge when Zach is a bit slow off the mark.
  7. O'Shea commented on a similar situation within the last few weeks, can't recall exactly which game but the challenge was also made late in a blowout, so maybe against the Als in week 12. To paraphrase, he said the score does not matter, he will support his player if he thinks they have a reasonable chance of the call being over-turned. In that instance he challenged and won.
  8. HH for Johnny A, showed what he is still capable of doing when given the rare chance. Next week, probly back to no touches again.
  9. You have a vivid imagination if you think GM's are continuously trying to raid other teams PR lists, the gentleman's agreement works very well at limiting this activity to the frequency of once in a blue moon.
  10. It happened last month, former Bomber lineman Jakob Szott was picked off the Riders PR by the Ti-Cats. Prior to that may have to go back a few years when the Lions lost O-linemen Zver and Guy to Chris Jones when he was with the Riders. Generally the gentleman's agreement is followed, which helps maintain the stability of the roster and provides teams a bit of shuffle space to manage human resources.
  11. The offence may be explosive but it's also simplistic, it relies on the athletic heroics of Brady pounding and Zach running and gunning from the hip, if a team trips up either of them the offensive game plan falters. People like to say LaPo ran a boring ball control offence, true, but it was much more calm, consistent and relied a lot less on desperation passing. Last game the Bomber offence performed a lot like Jake Maier with under 3 minutes to go in a game, every completion was a life-safer and every incompletion a heartbreaker.
  12. That's the ideal and maybe the way it all started, but we have no idea how well their relationship is functioning at this point in time. Every marriage starts out strong but not all last, I guess we'll get a good indication of the status of their relationship if Walters reups or decides to move on.
  13. Where do you find this info.? The useless roster lists Clements, Hansen and Haba still on the 6-game!
  14. We sure haven't seen much magic from Prukop yet this season, he was much more impressive running off tackle last year, he even threw a few nice passes.
  15. I didn't notice if the training staff came on the field or not, either way I can't see how they avoided the 3-play rule as O'Shea admitted Zach was flagged for concussion protocol.
  16. Give em to Johnny, he's standing around anyway with nothing much to do.
  17. He's not dressing for the next game, so he wants out.
  18. That player happened to be Pete Robertson.
  19. To what effect? Retaliating had the potential to get 2 or 3 O-lineman suspended for the Banjo Bowl, who comes out ahead in that scenario?
  20. Smart move by the CFL to immediately remove the distraction Robertson's presence would have in the BB. Both teams are forced to move on.
  21. Bo is under contract for next season, he's not going to agree to renegotiate his salary downward and the Ti-Cats are not about to cut him, same goes for Harris in Sask. Each has had a handful of games to establish themselves on new teams, whether some fans think both their careers are done or not doesn't matter, they've signed legal contracts that define how much they will be paid for playing football next season.
  22. So you expect another round of musical chairs with the same old QB's? I can't see many GM's thinking going into a season without a designated QB is a wise strategy.
  23. Pending health, both BLM and Harris are under contract for next season with guaranteed money and will likely be ready for TC. Each is the key banner carrier for their brand, so they'll both likely be back excluding a regime change this off-season, in which case almost anything could happen. Where do you expect these magical QB replacements to emerge from? The CFL has been already tested by a lack of QB supply this season, Crum, Powell, Dolegala and Ford have been added to the shallow end of the pool, but there's not enough evidence they can swim well enough to become future starters. Ideally each receives a couple more years of swimming with life-jackets before being thrown into the deep end.
